First things first. They will smog your car and it'll be relatively quick. 20 mins or so.That said, I have been going here for years, for several cars. The guy who USED to work here about 4 years ago was very friendly, professional and I always enjoyed interacting with him. I couldn't recommend this place enough AT THE TIME.The person who works there now is condescending and rude. He talks down to you and lectures you. I felt like he was trying to scold me. It was infuriating, rude and disrespectful. I've interacted with him twice and both times he was unprofessional.I went to smog express in Richmond and the service provided there was more affordable, polite and professional. There were people ahead so I had to wait a little longer but I much preferred my experience there. I feel like smogters could have provided the same service, in less time (given, at a higher rate) and I would have left happy if the person working hadn't been so rude to me.Yes the parking at smogters is bad, but my real reason for not going back is the attitude on this guy. I don't know what his beef is, but it feels like he thinks he's better than you because of his knowledge around his job. (Which of course he should be proud of that! But being unprofessional and condescending is not necessary to be good/knowledgeable at your job)

I just had my Prius smog checked here and it was a great experience. Having a cat cover is not a problem, as I have one. They just want to be able to verify the converter is there (easy by just turning on the car) and that it is legal.Thank you! I have had great experiences here in the past, but they weren't open during their posted hours with no note or anything like that. Not cool

This place used to be cool when Richard was running it but now it s some new guy who doesn t even know how to run the test. Wouldn t complete the test on my prius because of the antitheft cover over the cat. Wasted my time to tell me he couldn t do it. Took it to EZ Smog on Gilman and wasn t an issue. Go someplace else especially if you have a prius.Service: Smog certification

Great fast friendly service. I went just for a smog buy ended up getting my tags done here to. Rick serviced me. He was very kind and informative. It was a fee for the tags but I enjoy having a one stop shop experience so it was worth it. Will certainly be returning here. Though I guess wait times can vary, there was minimal wait the last time I went. Plus they honored the coupon from their website and generally presented themselves professionally. I'd likely go back.

They do not honor their online coupons from their own website. Go elsewhere. The guy gave me extensive attitude about my out of state registration when they require you to get a smog check before going to the DMV to get a California registration. There's a place right around the corner that accepts coupons and would probably even take a competitors coupon from this guy.

I have been coming here for years now and have two vehicle. The gentleman who helps you, does just that! He is so helpful and polite! The is usually no wait tume if you go early...Won't go any where else!!

Richard was a professional and pleasure to work with. 30 minutes for a Smog test, easy in and out. Convenient location, park right in front. Will be a return customer. Check out Yelp check-in discount for savings.

Had a coupon. Hilariously they said they wouldn't take it because my plates were out of state. Went down the street and used a coupon no problem.
