Excellent prices and professional service! Hi Tech is a busy place and the staff is passionate about what they do. The staff helped me choose a system right for me and my needs quickly, installed the system on time and taught me the system and got me on the road quickly. In 2018 I purchased a car alarm with remote start and separate sound system. Months later I came back for window tinting for UV protection. I am very happy with the results! Even today the staff continues to impress me with their knowledge and enthusiasm for helping me. I highly recommend this business and should also mention that customers be added to the email list as the midnight madness sales are only available to those on the list. That was 6 years ago and now in 2024 the work has continued to hold up over time, many miles, and lots of usage. Strongly recommend this place!!!

They are very professional and listen to any problems and make sure you are taken care of. I come in to get a dash cam installed for my Toyota Tacoma 2002 truck and started to have problems with the connection. When I went in to get an estimate for extra battery installed they were very professional and said no problem our work comes with a life time warranty and will check all the wires. They did free of charge. There estimate are reasonable and do not overcharge you even when it takes a while bit longer to install. Will that works there is very helpful. They even offered to replace my dash cam unit if the connection was still bad after noticing a loose wire if the problem still happened when I took my truck in to install the extra battery and they did replace the dash cam without me having to deal with the hassle of dealing with the dash cam company. I would recommend them to anyone that wants a dash cam instead of getting a dash cam online.

Very knowlegeable team, nice people, great quality equipment and they make solid recommendations. Custom install work that Warren and the team there does is as good as it gets. They helped me fix a terrible install job someone else did and I have brought every car I've had there since. Great folks. So glad I found this place.

Recently had my speakers replaced with some aftermarket ones, and added an under seat subwoofer. Hi Tech gave me a fair price, and did an awesome job setting everything up to run off my stock radio unit. Love my new setup!

The guys at Hi Tech provides the best customer service! I got my windows tinted and they look great! Very well done. Will is awesome and made sure that I was taken care of. Prices are great and the service is even better! I ll definitely spread the word and will be back for more work in the near future!!

Shout out to Sean for his impeccable customer service! Came down here to their semi-annual sale event (Spring Midnight Madness) with my Pops to upgrade his and moms stereo to something a little more modern with Apple Car Play. The moment I came in, I was instantly welcome by him like we were old friends. Surprised he remembered me, since it been years I had to buy any car electronics/window tint, but furthermore he took care of us the moment we came in. Keep note that he was multi-tasking/busy with other customers at the time, but stilled acknowledge our presence (us not feeling ignored) which to me is huge (coming from a retail experience perspective). He listened to our needs in terms what we were looking for, and did not try to up-sale us one bit. Even though we had specific products in mind, and they did not have them in stock. He still took the time to research if they were able to order them and still work out a deal. At the time of the transaction, he was super patient with our questions/concerns, he took the time to elaborate on the items we needed for the installation and priced us a reasonable labor charge. Even after the transaction took place, I found some items from their competitors that were a bit cheaper from their sale price, Sean immediately honor their price match policy with no questions ask. All I can say is, WOW! Even my Father was surprised and agreed we choose the right place to do business.Also got to give a shout to Jim, we had a small inquiry regarding where they placed the two USB s when Dad s unit was installed. Jim immediately grab one of his technicians to resolve the inquiry, and while doing that, he connected with my Dad for their love with Tacomas. My Dad left with a smile on his face which means the world to me.My Father has over 30 years of hospitality experience (as a waiter), and he even commended how attentive/patient Sean and Jim were. Recently purchased a new 2022 Mazda 3 hatchback and wanted some good 70% tint for UV and heat protection without making it look too dark. Did a lot of research on tint shops in the Bay Area and kept Hi Tech Audio in the back of my mind. As a longtime El Cerrito local I've always wanted to check this place out but never had reason to until now. I'm so glad I did.The process was so easy. Literally took 5 minutes to make my appointment after discussing what type of tint was best for what I wanted. Dropped off my car and it was ready for pickup in the 3 hours promised. I had some concerns about how the tint looked when I first saw it but they assured me it would dry out after a few days. Came with lifetime warranty and if I was unhappy they told me I could bring it back and they would make it right. Well, the streaks on my tinted windows evened out after 3 days and I'm really happy with the work and the way it looks on my car.

I first went to Hi-Tech Car Audio as a novice wanting to upgrade my sports car. Jim and John took the time to personally introduce me to a variety of options, ranging from low to high-end products. I quickly learned that I was very picky with the sound in my car. While most shops get annoyed when someone is confused, they switched countless amp, speaker, and subwoofer combinations until I was satisfied.If you are looking for a deal or the best bang for your buck, wait for their special sales. I shopped during the midnight madness sale which helped me save thousands, but Will was able to hook it up even further!Will presents the shop to the highest level of professionalism and customer service. He always acknowledged me by name, making me feel welcomed and respected. He was ALWAYS accommodating as he price matched offers and met my needs to the best of his ability. TIP: If you are honest about your situation I bet they will do everything to make it work.I ended up requesting a custom trunk which Warren had to fabricate by hand and fit to the exact dimensions of my car. The ease of communication was like no other. I was able to directly message Warren details and inspiration photos. Warren was up for the challenge even though I already had air suspension in the car. The end result was better than anything I could have ever imagined. Air tubes, harnesses, and wires were neatly adhered to the car. There was no rattling and the whole setup was easy enough for me to disassemble if needed. The pictures do speak for themselves, however, I wish one could see how neat everything was behind the panels.Adalberto installed the stereo. A challenging task since the stereo was connected to the backup camera, dashcam, remote start, steering wheels control, GPS... so on. I double checked his work by removing the stereo and the wiring was CLEAN. Anthony tuned the audio to perfection, which is tough since I requested metal music. He put an option to direct music to the driver, center of the car, passenger, or towards the outside. Other individuals from the team focused on wrapping, tinting, sound deadening, and even the underglow.Unfortunately, the car was totaled. When I let them know, I could tell that they were truly devasted... they put all of their effort, care, and passion into the car. I am planning on doing another trunk setup and I know exactly where to go: Hi-Tech Car Audio.As you can see from my review, if you book this shop for any services, you will be working with a team and not just one person. Each individual is specialized in their craft guaranteeing top-notch results.

Hi Tech Car Audio is the best in the business! I have taken 3 vehicles to them and I will keep going back every time.Recently took a 2016 Mercedes in for install and tune and the sounds quality and customer service are unbelievable.I went with their recommendations on the Focal speaker set made for my vehicle, and it sounds like Michael Tilson Thomas is live in my car. Plus, it SLAPS like no other. 10*

First time here was during their Midnight Madness sale. Picked out the head unit I liked and proceeded to the checkout line. I really appreciated that the gentleman helping me asked if they'd be doing the installation and when I said yes he told me all the other recommended addons (i.e. trigger interface, antenna amplifier) for my vehicle. This was on Wednesday, and brought it in Saturday for the install. Even though they were super busy they still managed to get the car done by my requested time. Excellent customer service and they did an awesome job with the install! Will definitely be back for future needs as well as recommending friends check them out. Thanks guys!

Wow is all I have to say after buying for more than ten years. As a business owner and as a person, this is the best customer service I've ever had. The staff is outstanding, extremely knowledgeable, and skilled in their work.Everyone at the store welcomes you with open arms and seems to be there to meet all of your stereo needs, so every time I go in, I feel like I'm a part of the family.

Great Experience! I needed a new back up camera and was in the area. They took me in and got the camera replaced within an hour. This was great service. I would definitely recommend the "big dogs" Hi Tech Car Audio. If you need a radio or speaker system, they got it.

Unbelievable customer service. The store manager, Will Moore, will make sure your audio system works or he will make it right. I had faulty manufacturer parts(not the fault of Hi Tech Audio) and Will made it right. Rest a sure, you will be taken care of at Hi Tech Audio. I highly recommend this place and would recommend to my family and friends.

I had to replace the reverse camera for my Toyota Corolla after an accident through my insurance. The Toyota dealership was limited with what they could do because the previous owner of this car must ve had already had an aftermarket replacement. The shop where my car was being repaired at referred me here. It only took under 2 hours. The new reverse camera works good as new! Thank you Will, and the rest of the Hi-Tech team

Had an updated stereo/back-up camera installed in my 2017 Jeep Wrangler about a year ago since the stock did not have a back-up camera. I am back now because the screen went blank and white and I could not get it to reset. Called HI Tech Car Audio and they got me with-in the week and swapped it out for brand new one, no charge. Works great and I am extremely happy with their service.

Besides getting excellent service (and at a reasonable price!), I happened to watch the three service guys at the front desk help at least a dozen other people. They did so with care and attention to detail...and provided helpful advice to people with their various needs.I'm impressed, very.

Long Over due review: I went in with zero experience wanting to upgrade my infotainment system. Jim spent at least an hour working with me to decide what alpine head unit would be best based on the look and functionality for my 2018 focus st. I wanted wireless car play and to get rid of the dinky little 4" display screen. I was able to confidently select the Alpine ilx-507. The install happened in December and there have been no issues. I feel like I am living in the future with wireless carplay.I liked how the head unit alone made the audio sound better so I decided to go back and have my factory speakers replaced with Alpine s-s65c and s-s65 speakers along with the kta-450 power pack amp. Unfortunately there was miscommunication and the first round of installation I only received the s-s65 speakers in front, which were meant for my rear speakers and the wrong amp(ktp-445 power pack amp).You may be thinking, "wow wrong installation and still giving them 5 stars" I called and Jim immediately said let me look into our paperwork and investigate. Not even within 2 hours Jim called and apologized for the error. Scheduled another installation day when Jim would be there to make sure everything was installed how it should have. Also worth mentioning the wrong amp(ktp-445) they installed is technically more expensive on crutchfield(than the kta-450) and they did not charge me additional for the price difference of the S-S65 and S-S65C component speakers. The car was also ready within 2 hours after drop off on the 2nd installation day. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE.I took it for a nice test run on a road trip to LA and lets just say my ears were happy and there was a smile on my face the whole car ride there and back.I will definitely be back to complete my system and have a subwoofer put in by them.Thanks again Hi Tech!

Owner Azim and staff are the best in business. Had my Model 3 tinted here, don't look anywhere else because their competitive low price and superior customer service can't be beat anywhere in the Bay Area. Definitely recommend Hi Tech Car Audio to everyone.

I went to this place as a Seasoned Senior on July 3rd 2023 not having a Clue of what I needed to do.*The gentleman who greeted me had such kindness about himself that it made me feel ok when you explain your van situation he won't make you feel even more clueless!*He smiled & listened then said let's go to the van put in your CD and move foward from there.*Then after further discussion he replied well since your leaving for vacation tommorow and we are booked-up several weeks in advance already I'm going to give you a few different- options you can use.*Because I can't send you down the Freeway and your not able to listen to your Frankie Beverley & Maze Long-story short his option did allow me to have music on my drive from Oakland to Canada.Just for those who CD Player Won't ReadThank you in advance see you soon for the real fix.Rita

Always my go-to for car audio and alarms since 06! I've won a bunch of raffle prizes during their midnight madness sales over the past years, which i recommend attending. It's so much fun! They have friendly and knowledgeable staff, and Azim has been nothing but kind, funny, and very helpful ever since the first time I've met him! From my 93 civic back in high school to my subie sti in 2018 and now 2023 tinting my acura tl... thank you to everyone at hi-tech!

I've been a customer since 2014, and they have never let me down with their work or their prices. Every person I've recommended to them has said the same thing. Their quality is exceptional, and if I feel or they feel that the work done is not perfect, they will reach out to me and make it right. That's real customer service right there, and something you don't see often nowadays. They are a busy shop (and that's a good sign), so if you have to wait an extra 5 minutes to get service don't make a big deal about it; I can assure you it's worth the wait.Every car I've gotten since 2014 I've been bringing here for work. I got tints done in one of my cars back then, and still today the job they did holds strong. What I personally love about them is that they won't simply quote you a job and call it a day; they will listen to what you want done, and they will be honest with you and tell you what's needed to get it done. They explain the process to you, and give you a real quote based on that, and after this you feel much more comfortable.I am the pickiest person when it comes to my cars, and I can assure you they are the only shop I trust to get aftermarket work done on them. Hell, they even clean my car after working on it.... highly recommended.If you want cheap work done for cheap prices, go somewhere else and good luck coming back to them every week because the job is not well done. If you want the best work done for prices that make sense, then this is your shop.

I came to this place probably 10 years ago, and that good impression has still stuck with me. Very nice, proper, professional help is the least of what you can expect from these guys. I drove up to them from Newark for an aftermarket head unit I saw in an ad for a sale they were having. I was expecting something like Pacific Stereo in Fremont where they have no interest in you if you don't flash a bunch of money around or at least look like you got a few mil. in the bank jus for them. Anyways, I showed up expecting to see mundane salesman faces, but instead was greeted with a smile and very good attitude. I told them I already knew what I wanted, but (this is my favorite part) they asked me a few questions anyways to make sure that I knew that I really did know what I wanted and why. Rather than jus selling me something so they can make money. They seemed genuinely interested in making sure that I would like what I got. And I did, the head unit, the price, and the help. I only went that one time unfortunately however, but only because of my own personal financial reasons. Not to be reflected onto to them because they have great prices, especially if you catch them on a sale. Thanks again guys. Somethin like 10yrs later and I still recommend people to come to you guys. Keep up the great business owner skills.
