I m from out of town and Riley s Automotive really came to the rescue with our rental car that started causing us problems. Highly recommend this shop, they're honest and explain everything that s going on

The shop is a hidden gem! As much as I want to keep it hidden for my own regular use :), these (non chain, non franchise) types of places are great in any community. Richard and company go above and beyond and they personally have helped me out of without notice a number of times helping me get back on the road the same day. I'm very thankful they are in the neighborhood!

Awesome peeps! Very understanding! Richard is very knowledgeable and the most honest Mechanic I have met! Amber is very sweet and works with you and your budget! Outsourcing, guarantee and awesome service! They really get the job done! I recommend this shop over all the others, support local business!

Been going here for years, fair prices, honest and trustworthy. After bringing my car to pb foreign and having them break a bolt and not take responsibility, I'll gladly drive the extra 30 minutes to go here everytime now.

I showed up at opening time (8am) on a Saturday morning and they took me immediately. I needed a wheel bearing repack in a hurry. My vehicle was finished before noon. The cost...$220. The hidden secret about this place...the current owner, Amber (a real firecracker) will take you home and pick you up if you do not live too far away from the shop. I have been a Riley's customer since before Jesse (the previous owner) retired several years ago. The service is still good and the prices are competitive. Not cheap, but competitive. Thank you Amber and crew!

Good place. Owner has been around for years and has a stable shop. Update: had some work done on an older car. They were quick, courteous and informative.

I love this place! One of the biggest things for me is trust and this shop provides that. I can't tell you how many times I've taken my truck here and received great service. They will let you know what items are important to fix, what can wait, and give you great prices on everything. It feels good to leave an auto shop and know they honestly took care of you. Customer service...It's a dying art...

Time after time this place is as honest as they come and they have saved this lady a lot of money from other places misdiagnosing my older van. Just this summer on 8-10-18 they saved me $600 because a brake shop in Santee said my older van needed back brake cylinders replaced because they were leaking. It was a total lie and Riley's replaced my front brakes for $300 because there was NO leaking from the cylindars and the other place on the corner of Magnolia and Mission Gorge wanted to charge me $900 for front and back brakes. Thank you Riley's. Once again and forever you will be my mechanic because you are honest!!

We had an exhaust manifold leak on our converted school bus motorhome. It was too big of a job for us to do on the road. Being a mechanic myself it, it was a painful prospect to hire the job out, but Richard came highly recommended. It worked out perfectly for us. He fixed it right away for a good price. He's a highly skilled tech and If you have a RV breakdown in San diego and dont want to deal with dealership prices and headaches, he's a hell of a resource.

AWESOME MECHANIC. Our jeep grand cherokee was sputtering on acceleration, we called them after finding them on google maps and they said they'd look it the same day, FREE OF CHARGE. We bring it in and they guy ends up working on it right away! Within half an hour he drives it out, says the sputtering has stopped after taking out, cleaning and putting back some components. He says he won't charge us! We drive around and drive home, engine light now off and 0 sputtering. My mom was panicking that she would have no car to drive, and precision auto tune charges us 120 bucks just to LOOK AT IT. This was all free and we were out in half an hour. Amazing

Riley's Auto is the friggin' bomb!!! I took my close-to-death truck in to see if there was any hope of bringing her back to life. Richard worked some magic and SHE LIVES!!! I am happy beyond words. I was referred to them by a friend who swears she'll never go anywhere else. And neither will I. Amber knows her stuff too and her advice was spot-on. I am totally beyond happy with everything that was done. And you will be too we have given Richard a worthy title... Richard the Iron- Hearted.

My wife and I have been taking our vehicles here for about 3 years. Super helpful, always reliable. Very trustworthy and always honest, they have worked to find less expensive parts several times.
