Excellent service, friendly and great costumer service He did an outstanding job and thanks to the technician I m able to get back on the road , he advised me if my old truck would add or not the smog , in addition he is one of the only few shops on east county that can smog older trucks (1999) and older after the appropriate repairs my 1999 Dodge ram passed the smog and I only changed thegas cap !!!From now on I m only going to smog my vehicles with him at pepper drive smog in lakeside Thank you my friend :)

This is the best smog shop in San Diego County. Mark is excellent at what he does, gets you in and out quickly, and always willing to give you advice when needed. Prices are very reasonable to the point he should charge more for his time.Service: Smog certificationService: Smog certification

Mark knows how to deal with vehicles. I find him a very sad human being. I'm the girl who started cleaning up his bathroom, an his shop an taking care of his dog. He knew I needed a job. We became friends but instead of paying me after a bout a year . He did help me some . When his wife was out of town,he came on to me.I did not approve of this. Then I realized his customers got the impression I was his mistress. Never was ,never wanted to be,etc. I just needed to earn some money, so I volunteered to help around the shop . Unfortunately it went all wrong for me . I left.I do wish him well though. One should learn to speak the whole truth to your customers and Friends.

Id give him a zero if I could. Very poor experience overall. Made too many assumptions, treated me like I knew nothing about what I purchased. Recommend not takin any business here whatsoever.

needed another smog test done so I came here for the second time, and as always the owner mark took great care of me. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Great price the best I could find in town. Always a good time chatting with mark too he's a good guy, learn something new every time we talk lol. Won't take my cars anywhere else now.

Mark is a 1 man shop and he knows his smog machines. In and out in a jiffy if your needing a test only, this place is the place to go. No frills, just a reliable and honest smog shop.

Mark Holt provides knowledgable, attentive, amiable service. Don't let the small shop fool you. I live in Long Beach and wait until I go to San Diego for a visit to get my smog checks done there. Even when I don't need "test only" service, I use the Pepper Drive Smog Only shop. ...

I own a dealership on Olde Hwy 80 and we use Mark for all of our smogs. He is always fast and helpful. We have continuosly done business with him for a few years now. We were refered by another dealersip. Now our employees take their personal vehicles to him also. Everyone has nice things to say about him.

Just like going to visit grandpa ....mark is a wonderful man whom has been operating this business for years know exactly what he's talking about and is 100% truthful and honest I only smog my vehicles though him (I dive up from the south bay )I would highly recommend him to anybody looking to get smog work done
