I called today 1/28/2024 at 445pm asking if I would need an appointment to possibly repair a flat tire. It's Sunday and they close at 600pm. Let's be honest here it is way too easy for a business especially in the auto repair business to say we are busy can you call tomorrow? That was not the case here. I spoke to Mark the service manager. He said if you can bring the car in on or before 530pm we'll take care of you. Mind you I still needed to wait for a tow to get me there so time is ticking. Luckily today was my lucky day. AAA got to me in less than 20 minutes ( another fine surprise) and towed my car to the shop before 530pm. Let me tell you I've never experienced such great service from anyone in my adult years. No exaggeration. Mark was so honest and said let's look at it and I hope to repair it. Unfortunately, my flat was caused by a drill bit at least 4 inches long. Imagine that Mark even apologized for not being able to repair it as the hole was way too big. Spending money on a new tire on Sunday is not the ideal end to my weekend but somehow that does not matter since I received such great customer service. This is what it is when a person cares about what they do and their customers. Thank you Mark and Firestone for an outstanding experience.

I made the appointment with Mark. He was competent and professional. I met Josh at the store, forthright and honest. He let me know exactly what was going on with my car. Both guys, very helpful and friendly. Will definitely return to their store.

They are all very knowledgable, courtesy and friendly. Josh, Mark and Kevin are very good people and are quick to do what needs to be done especially if you have an appointment. I have been going to Firestone for about 10 years and have never had a problem and leave there happy.

Mixed feelings about the location. Great location and the staff is always nice and helpful regardless of your car knowledge they don't make you feel dumb for being dumb about your car. They find you affordable deals and really help you out on maintaining your car.The bad part is critical understaffed for multiple years now. They are always behind schedule due to short staffed. Seems like a corporate issue needing to offer more pay or something because an appointment cn often get pushed back a whole day due to only 1 guy availible and it's been that way off and on for about 3 years.The lobby waiting area is also just 2 chairs. No TV, fan, water, coffee not even a magazine and the bathroom has been out-of order for about a year. Sure you can walk to nearby shops but with the high homeless literally outside the shop you kind don't want to leave for the sometimes several hours while you wait. Corporate should also budget for a better front office and waiting area to improve the customer experiences.

This review should be negative stars!! **WARNING DO NOT go to this location** My Son went to Firestone on 2nd Street at the El Cajon location to get one of my tires replaced. Firestone sold him a supposed "brand new" tire that costs $150. Well, the first time I went to drive my car since the tire got replaced it pops on me on the freeway. It was SO scary, I feared for my life and I just about had a full on panic attack. I went back to the same location to get the tire replaced or possibly fixed since it had only been 4 days and Mark H. at the front counter basically tells me that it was all my fault the tire popped and that I had to have hit something on the freeway. I tell him I did NOT hit anything on the freeway. He was so condesending as if I didn't know what I was talking about. He proceeds to tell me the tire is not replacable or fixable. Mind you Mark checked the tire and there were no nails or damage to the tire other than the defective issues. He says well I can sell you another tire for 1/2 off. I tell him the tire is clearly defective and I will not pay another dime for another tire. I take my tire (Firestone's defective tire) and ask for the Store Managers name. I call the store Manager Josh M. and explain the situation and he proceeds to tell me it will be another $49!!! At this point I tell him this is so wrong and that this has to be some kind of scam. With the money spent on 1 supposed brand new tire we could have gotten 4 used tires that wouldnt have popped on the freeway! I am now waiting for a phone call from the area Manager Robert K. I just can not believe I have to go through all of this stress and anxiety to get 1 tire replaced!! Reference #2803200

DO NOT COME HERE!! I called in the morning to see if they could fit me in for an alignment which they said it would be no problem and would take between 2 to 4 hours. After dropping my car off I called after three hours and they said that there was still two cars ahead of me and they were short staffed. At the very least, I would ve appreciated a courtesy call letting me know that they are backed up because now I have had to pick my truck back up without any work being done. Seems like they ll tell you whatever they need to over the phone to get you to come in and take the job. TOTAL DAY WASTED!!! Take your car somewhere else where they will value and respect your time!

I feel I was ripped off. I have been going to the la mesa location and paid under $40 for an oil change and rotation. El cajon charged me $92, saying they don't carry the brand of oil previously used. I should have just left.

The whole team at El Cajon are amazing. Their customer service is spectacular. They are super kind and I feel that they really have my best interest at heart. Ever since I got my first service with them back in 2022, I only go FireStone in El Cajon.This location needs to be regarded for their excellent service.I don't care where I live in SD, I'll only go to this location.

We were driving back to Arizona and got a nail in the tire as we were 30 minutes out of Lakeside. It was a Sunday afternoon and we were worried there wouldn't be any tire places open. Fortunately this Firestone was one of the only places open in El Cajon and we were able to get back there before they closed. Mark went above and beyond to make sure he was able to patch our tire and get us safely back to AZ. He was able to squeeze us in to the end of the day and kept his staff late to. We could not be more appreciative of Mark, his transparency and the level of service he provided us. If it wasn't for Mark's help, we would have needed to stay in California for another day. We could not be more satisfied with the assistance provided.

Easy in easy out. Josh even told me he found snail shells under my hood. Rodent problem and he gave me a cure. My Hyundai dealership has said nothing to me about this and it s not easy in easy out at the dealership!

He suggested me to a better offer which is lifetime alignment.Also check every aspect of the car and I just known that it has more problem that to be addressed that other mechanic didn't even addressed to me. Thanks !!!

I choose to get my car serviced here because these guys are honest. They do not use cheap used parts and they make sure the job is complete. If you really want a good job done, drop off your car and let them take the time to work on it. Otherwise, you must make an appointment.

My family has been coming to this location for over 20 years it used to be the best place to service my cars recently things have changed it s not the same anymore I came in last month to get an oil change and a four wheel balance the next day I have a flat tire ok no problem I had the tire changed I go in this month the next day I have two flat tires on the next day somethings definitely wrong at this location BEWARE

I had a serpentine belt that kept squeaking had two mechanics look at which one charged me 500 for unnecessary work done that didn t fix the issue decided to try this place and they got the job done and was charged a very decent amount! They are awesome not only did they got the job done but they got it done within a day! Definitely recommend them!

I called and made an appointment with Mark. From beginning to end, he s the nicest guy and super helpful. I ll be back for sure, got a good deal on lifetime wheel alignments. It s unfortunate to hear the other reviews that were short of stellar, cause if they were met with the professionalism and kindness I was met with today, they would be giving them 5 stars too. Ran over a screw and had a flat in a tire I purchased at the dealership. Needed a quick repair, so I went to Firestone. Although the tire was damaged beyond repair, Firestone was able to replace it and another at a reasonable price the same day. Thankful for the friendly and capable staff.

I ve used this location maybe 20 years prior so thought I would try again. I made an appointment for a front end alignment and even showed them my truck which is not stock but has stock components and the gentlemen that set my appointment was polite and nice. Appointment day came I showed up early and the tech was at lunch at which time I was told I can leave the vehicle but did not have a ride so I would wait for it no hurry. When the tech did his test drive not sure if they knew I was there but one of the people made a negative comment about my vehicle and how it was under built. It is but that s not the point, I don t bring my truck to a shop to have you talk trash because it s not where you want it to be. I bring it for repairs. At this time the person working up front says the alignment will cost exponentially more and could not quote me because some of my aftermarket parts require more labor. I had to laugh in my head because I put the part on in my driveway so it made me feel less than confident in their ability to align my truck and I opted to just take it back and figure something else out. Can t see myself ever going back.

. ******update and correction I used to go out of my way to this firestone. Recently had a service done on my truck well it's been a week and a new clunk around the rear end has emerged . Upon further investigation I found a screwdriver lodged into my leaf spring behind driver side rear tire. This Firestone will never touch any of my vehicles again and I'll be pursuing damage reimbursement . To think even for a second that I've entrusted my life , and the lives of my passengers including my 1 year old daughter is incredibly scary. See photo of occurance

Satisfied! After i explained that I had to jump-start my SUV all the time, they willed to replace the battery. I barely had it for a year. I have the warranty with them. Now I can start it without worrying if it will start or not. Thank you for the service!

Don't make an appointment online. They refused to honor the appointment saying the system isn't accurate and I needed to call to make an appointment. UPDATE: I thought that when companies respond to customer complaints and ask you to contact them it meant they cared. Well in this case Firestone doesn't, I emailed Brendan when I saw his response and haven't heard back from him at all. I guess it's just a virtue signal to make readers think they actually care.
