Ryan and Harrison are awesome. I didn t know anything about RC cars and they have given me so much information and knowledge. Super cool easy going guys. Don t give your money to a big box store give it to A couple dudes who grew up in East County and continue to support the area.

Dropped by this morning with no expectation to find this rare part while we travelling.Owner opened the store and find a way to make my son super happy.I would recommend this hobby shop 200%.We got super service, super happy.

We love this hobby store. They have all the hop ups in stock plus carry colored Rpm parts. Ryan and staff are super knowledgeable and helpful. They have helped us with upgrades and even removing stripped screws. Thanks guys!

(5/5)If you're into hobbies of any kind, look no further than El Cajon Hobbies. This place is a hidden gem that you absolutely must check out. Luke, Ryan, and Kev are the lifeblood of this establishment, and their customer service is second to none. Not only are they always nice and welcoming, but they're also incredibly knowledgeable and straightforward. Above and Beyond Service: I have to give a special shoutout for the times they've helped me out without charging me. It's rare to find a business that genuinely cares about its customers to this extent. I am super appreciative of their generosity and it's just another reason why I keep coming back. Quality Products: From RC cars to model airplanes, they offer a wide range of high-quality products that will satisfy even the most discerning hobbyist. Awesome Race Track: One of the highlights of this place is their race track. It's well-maintained and offers a ton of fun whether you're racing against friends or just honing your skills. Great Atmosphere: There's always a positive vibe in the store. It's easy to strike up a conversation with fellow hobbyists or the staff, making each visit a unique and enjoyable experience. Overall Experience: If you haven't been to El Cajon Hobbies yet, you're missing out. For anyone in East County or even further afield, it's worth the trip. They've earned a customer for life in me, and I can't recommend them enough.Do yourself a favor and check out El Cajon Hobbies; you won't be disappointed!

Ordered upgraded brushless motor esc combo for my kids rc.. they take longer then ordering online and then got me something that wont work in the car without an extra not stock part and then didnt tell me about it until i found out myself where i live over an hour away... just research and order online save yourselves the hassle and let the retail stores die off if they work like this.. didnt offer a deal or discount or anything on the part that i wasnt even aware i would need and only because they ordered the upgrade "how they always do" but without informing me..not what i asked for... shame on the customer service

Knowledgable staff, always willing to help and give good tips. Only indoor crawling track I know of in San Diego! It does get crowded but I think they do a good job at keeping it moving. They have anything rc offroad you could want or need and even some boats and cars!

I scored 3 traxxas slash trucks their..I been in the mix since December 2020They help out with any issues i have and very knowledgeable...Definitely get @ them if ur in the hobby or thinking about it... YAY YAAAAY!!!

Came in, briefly explained what was going on, they immediately knew the issue and had a fix. Even taught my kids some troubleshooting steps. Amazing shop, super friendly. 1000% recommend!

Super friendly and knowledgeable. They didn't try to upsell me on a car. In fact, they advised me to buy something less pricey and geared towards a more user-friendly car as this was gonna be my first one.No pressure, just a couple of friendly guys who know the industry. I went home, and YouTubed the industry, and everything they said was on point. I absolutely recommend this shop.

Had some old RC cars that I got from a friend who had them sitting for about six years or so. These guys helped me out with any questions I had and tested and checked everything out for me. I m just getting back into this and so much has changed in the last 20 years. Thanks again Luke and the guys there for all your help. I ll definitely be back.

Bought a No Prep Drag Car form them and had an extremely pleasant experience. The two working were very knowledgeable and great at sharing their knowledge. They helped me way out my options and got me the car that best fit my needs. Both took the time to answer questions, look things up, and spend the time make me feel confident in my purchase. I will definitely be buying from them again and have already recommended to my friends.

I only use my RC Monster trucks purely for fun. I m not the smartest guy in the RC world, this shop is awesome. Super friendly relaxed atmosphere. He answered all my questions and referred me to a few different trucks. He took the time to answer all my questions, as well as other customers. I m very happy with the customer service here. If you are not sure or have questions this is the place! Thank you guys!!

They have a lot of everything. Employees are helpful and knowledgeable. If your looking for a good experience chatting with employees you won't find that. A couple guys will talk with you but not all. Since this post I will not return to this store. I'll keep it quick, when I went in to get help and was told the esc and motor is wrong for it and there isn't any aftermarket upgrades available for the chassis, I was done. You can order the entire kit from different companies. Why would you lie or not know they are available. So that was my last and final trip there. That's only my story, maybe yours will be better.

This place is ok. It's hit or miss sometimes. Ryan or Brian is the owners BFF so he's always there. He has his good days and his bad days. When the owner is there (forget his name) get ready for too cool for school attitude. If you're just getting into RC with your kiddos, go to Hobbytown. This place is a little rough on first timers.

I was looking for a RC Car for my grandkids. He recommended this entry level off road buggy. I bought 2 extra batteries and a good charger. They had a blast playing with it. I tell you that car is indestructible. 2 high fives and 2 thumbs up.

Super helpful weekend crew, assisted with piecing together a blown out slipper clutch with better parts and gave good recommendation on a new 4x4. Spent way more than I intended but good stuff. Military discount is very much appreciated, we'll be back!

Most of the staff is pretty knowledgeable about parts and repairs. If you are going in to spend money on parts or repairs, try to ask more than one employee about it to make sure their advice or skill is adequate. Not everyone that works in there is a pro, but they won't tell you that and they don't wear signs. Good shop though. Almost always have what I need and it's close to me. I have also found that their prices are right inline with internet dealers or even a little cheaper.

Just bought some Games Workshop products from here. People are helpful and the GW prices are lower than any other store I've been to. This is the 3rd time I've come in, fully expecting to only window shop but left with a purchase. There's ALWAYS a good find here!!

I've been coming here off and on for over a year as I break my toys. I've had great experiences and so so experiences. I had trouble with my transmission and the guy helped me rebuild it on the spot. Had parts I need in stock or had within a week or so.

These guys are awesome. Very knowledgeable, have lots of stuff in stock or ready to order, good prices, and best of all they give you a no bull-crap opinion on their products. If they don't like it or like another comparable one better, they will let you know. I've been to several hobby shops around the county and this one is by far my favorite. I won't shop anywhere else.

They don't really have a lot of items in stock but I can't see any shop carrying every part or upgrade for every rc out there. They are always willing to help you order them though I'm sure. Jamie is the most knowledgeable in my opinion, at least for scale crawlers...I only visit when he is there mostly. I think it speaks volumes that the owner is on here responding to reviews trying to make things right.I hope they can grow this shop. Get out and start buying locally so they can afford more inventory.

I really like this place. They have a variety of hobby items from Rcs Cars ro planes and parts. The staff is very helpful and they have great customer service!!!They will.inspecr your Rc Car and let you know what you need. If they don't have it they'll order it.

Bought 800. Dollars worth of product. 3 rc trucks 3 extra batteries and a diel charger. Drove down tohome depot 1 mile. Plugged in when left store and was so hot could not hold. Took back in and they said bad battery. Could mot replace and would have to go thru manufacturer. Now we have to go on vacation with prolbrems

Absolutely the best hobby shop in town!! Great selection and super friendly staff.. Went to this place for the first time this past weekend and was very impressed.. Found everything I was looking for and at great prices too.. And got all of question answered by a super friendly and knowledgeable staff member.. This place is now my go to shop for anything hobby..

I was looking for a Traxxas Slash. Checked price on Amazon then called around to see who was close.Not only close but beat the Amazon price... The other stores straight up told us they were not matching Amazon prices.. In fact one store was 50 more for the same car and had a lot of attitudeThat's one thing I don't deal with, Atitudes...This place hasGreat staff, great prices....

I gave up on this store. Only guy in there that knows his stuff is Edgar, the rest don't have a clue about anything. I gave them plenty of opportunities but when you order a ring and pinion from them and they get you a front bumper? Yeah it's time to move on to the next store. I don't recommend this store at all.

I'm new to building quadcopters. I've been to other shops and the people are rude or dismissive. Especially in the area. I walked in here and right away the staff was more than willing to help me out. Even if I don't buy anything, They never make me feel like I'm wasting their time. So I gladly only come here when I'm ready to buy.
