Tony is likely the best BMW mechanic I have ever been to. I brought in my convertible M3 after taking it to FIVE different mechanics quoting me over $2000 for fix the convertible top. Tony was able to get the top fully functional in less than 3 days for 1/4 of the cost. He truly is a BMW guru!! Unfortunately I live 6.5 hours away in Arizona but would GLADLY make the drive back to San Diego for any of my BMW needs. Him and his foreman were honestly the best. If you re looking for an honest, hardworking mechanic, look no further. Thank you so much!

Experiencing mechanical issues and being stranded on the highway can be a big headache. Tony and Ilya took excellent care of me and my E46 M3 during what would have otherwise been a stressful situation. Tony presented me with my options and was open to conversation about my thoughts. The team worked with me every step of the way and was able to get my car back on the road with a quick turnaround. Absolutely amazing experience. My 1997 BMW Z3 broke down the day after Christmas. I got a referral from my usual mechanic who couldn t take my car. Driven SD was closed (which is totally reasonable), the voicemail made it clear they were closed, but had details about when they would be open again. I got a text with proposed appointment and estimate to look at the car very early the day they said they would be back. They have amazing systems in place that make the whole process completely transparent and easy. Almost all of our communication was via text, which included links to invoices and explanations of proposed repairs (the fix was actually pretty easy, but they also provided estimates to two other things I knew my car needed, which was incredibly helpful.) they were able to have my car done a day before they had expected, even though I told them there was no rush. Incredible experience, they will become my regular, go to mechanic.

Dropped my 435i off due to some intermittent battery drain issues. The issues were addressed and the gave me the option to fix other items that needed attention. Tony and Ilya are very quick to respond to questions and provide awesome customer service! I have peace of mind and confidence in my BMW again. Thanks for the great service, I'll definitely take my car back for service beyond my capabilities!

I've had my car in several times for maintenance since my older car is no longer supported by free maintenance at the dealership. Tony is knowledgeable and goes the extra mile to make sure everything is working correctly. Prices are extremely reasonable compared to the dealer I use to take my car to. I've ended up referring my husband, and 3 other friends who now also take their BWMs to Tony.

The guys at Driven SD were great! They were able to diagnose my vehicle and fix what was wrong extremely quick. They also kept me updated throughout the repair. Highly recommend them for any repairs you may need.

This is the best shop in San Diego. They have worked on my F10 M5 and my F15 X5. There is another BMW specific shop closer to my city but I still prefer to bring it to Tony. This shop is trustworthy and if you ask around town with other BMW enthusiast you ll learn quickly that Driven SD has a really good reputation. Th first time I brought my M5 in Tony spent extra time making sure the job was done right and because he had the car a little longer than what he originally told me, he insisted on lowering the labor cost for me. I could tell they really just wanted to get the job done the proper way. It was a brake fluid change and the feeling on the pedal was just slightly off. Tony wanted me to test drive the car with him to see if I could feel anything. He is the one that pointed it out to me and he wanted to confirm! I know for a fact other shops would have sent me on my way since the issue was really very minor and hardly noticeable. Tony wanted to stay a little late in the day and get the job done properly and then also give me a discount. You really don t find that service and pride in work anymore. I ll never go anywhere else.

Pulled in. My 2017 530i was up on the rack in about 2 minutes. Bad knocking from front lower control arm bushing (will never go to BMW of Encinitas ever again).Pulled panels, tightened linkage, buttoned up, test drove 15 minutes Feels Perfect!I will Only go to Driven SD in the future, for any and all needed services and repairs.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance

Been taking my E34 there since he opened his shop and has been nothing but great experience. Communicates well with what is going on and what needs to be done. The price is fair and they get the job done very well. Keep it up Tony!!

Absolutely amazing service and customer care. I brought my 2003 BMW X5 in because the alternator was acting up and the owner Tony took care of everything in a great timely manner. He did not over quote me on the parts or labor like a lot of these shops do. Overall a great experience and definitely recommend for all of your BMW repairs.

Tony knows his stuff! I took my 2014 BMW 550i to DrivenSD after getting an unacceptably excessive estimate from a BMW dealer to replace my headlight. Tony did all the trouble shooting that was necessary... and made it happen. I highly recommend DrivenSD!

Great BMW shop. Have taken my daughter's bmw here since we got it a few years back. Took it a few weeks ago due to a check engine light and Tony helped me out. Very honorable shop; her bmw had additional unforeseen issues that occured while diagnostics but Tony helped us out with the repairs. Unfortunately, at no fault to the shop, the check engine light came back on last night but Tony mentioned that if that happened to take it back to the shop and he would take care of us. I'll keep y'all posted.

Been here twice for different repairs and each time the turnaround was reasonable and no issues following the work. Appointment was made for a set date, I was called within the same morning for an update of what needed to be done and additional recommendations. No fluff, no upsale, just straight to the point providing honest input. My car is older 2011, though Driven SD treats it well and I have zero complaints. I will continue coming here for all my BMWs.

On November 21st, 2023, at approximately 4:44pm (Right before closing), I called Driven SD to inquire about an Inspection 2 service for my 1998 BMW 528i. Tony was kind enough to listen to my concerns (My 5 Series sat for four and a half years inside of a storage unit). At 4:58pm, Tony sent myself a link to my phone and provided email with detailed notes and pricing for each service.I asked if I could schedule an appointment for 7am for an Inspection 2 for the following morning. Tony replied promptly the next day at 6:44am saying he had to run out the door at 5pm and he just saw my text. He said if I can drop off the car off for the day, he can squeeze it somewhere. Tony also said if I can leave it for the day, he can make it happen.November 22nd, 2023I ended up dropping off the car around 7am and he was very friendly in person. I explained my story and he was very attentive to my concerns and compliment my car. I sent him a list of items of things I wanted checked out.At 10:38am, Tony text me saying he got the 5 Series checked out earlier than expected. He said was making good progress on the Inspection 2 and provided some info together for other concerns.I was able to review it the notes and I was quite happy with the quoted estimates. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for December 15th. I also scheduled an appointment for January 2nd 2023.At 2:49pm, Tony sent me a text with info that my vehicle's check engine light came on while he was driving it. He said unfortunately it seemed that the camshaft sensor has failed and will need to be replaced. He said he would offer to share the pain since it happened on his watch and offered to the repair at 50% for that service. He said the other problem was there weren't able to get the part till Friday. I was totally cool with the bad news since he was so transparent and communicative. I ended up calling him back and let him know he can keep the car till Friday to make the repair.On Friday November 24th at 8:21am, Tony sent me a text saying my car is ready and thanks again!Overall, I am very happy with the experience, communication and the pricing. I was researching many shops and Driven SD was consistently at the top. I would highly recommend if you have an older BMW or a newer BMW!I had an appointment on December 15th 2023 at 7am.I was experiencing some scheduling issues and Tony was more than patient with me. I had to push the time to the right twice. I ended up dropping my car off around noon. He let me know it s going to be ready after the weekend. That visit Driven SD replaced my leaking oil pan gasket, engine mount, transmission mount, and replaced my alarm siren. The turnaround was quick and the car was ready Monday morning December 18th at 9:28 AM. Highly recommend Driven SD if you have a BMW E39 5 Series! Five out of Five Stars!I had an appointment on January 1st 2024 at 7AM.I dropped off my 1998 BMW 528i Sport package to replace the shifter bushings, shift shaft seal, and window washer fluid sensor. Tony sent me a text at 11:45AM letting me know my BMW was ready. 4 hours and 45 minutes for a turnaround is impressive! The pricing was reasonable. Highly recommend Driven SD if you have an older BMW!

Excellent experience. Tony and his team took great care of my car. From getting a quote, drop off, and pickup, they're quick and efficient! Weather will be changing soon time for new windshield wipers. I had a really busy day lined up decided to swing over to DSD to see if Tony could replace mine for me. I highly recommend Tony and his team of professionals for the great work they do. I was tired of going to the dealership and being overcharged and not always trusting the recommendations. I am so appreciative to have found Driven SD. They do high quality work, are professional and take the time to really explain what is going on and actually shows me so I can understand the recommendations. I really like the way he quotes out via email and text including the details what needs to be done and what is most urgent and what I can hold off on. Trust is important and I trust the work they do and the recommendations they provide.
