Service was amazing! I went through my insurance for the repair but the team at this location was great and provided excellent service. Albie and his crew did a superb job repairing a huge scratch on our brand new SUV. The job was so good you couldn t even tell anything happened to it. The paint match was perfect. And trim was also replaced. Albie spoke to us and gave us a time line of when we would have the vehicle back. Him and his crew got the vehicle ready for pick up days earlier than expected. That s was a huge help to get it back asap. We are completely satisfied with the customer service provided and the great repair work that was done. Unfortunately for me I had to work with Caliber Collision because a drunk driver had totaled my car in the middle of the night.Having said that, in the middle of a difficult situation Gabby at caliber was super easy to work with and was very helpful in every question that I asked. Ultimately they when they determined that the car was unrepairable very quick to get the estimate done and turned over to my insurance company which help to speed up the process.I would definitely recommend them in any case regarding bodyworker Collision primarily because of the great customer service of the front desk and the management there

Overall good place. Some improvement with updating customers as a regular basis. Expected time for service was around 2 days. Third day had to call for update. Car came back clean and repaired. Avoid this auto shop at all costs!!I was referred by Geico. That was the auto insurance who was covering for the damages caused by their policy holder.This was my experience with their services.1.They failed to inform me the replacement parts were not original. Became aware after reviewing the invoice.2.The repair and paint job were incomplete and unacceptable. (Dents, lint and paint chipping off)3.The second attempt to correct the above mistakes were futile. (Lint trapped on paint, color did not match the rest of the car)See for yourself the lack of attention to detail and poor-quality materials they used to repair my vehicle.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

If you want your car done properly, do not go here. They do not pay their shop enough to care about quality. I had my mini with them for over a month, first attempt to return the car to me was rushed. They told me they couldnt clear codes on my car and still tried to give me a non functioning car, and a horribly replaced hood. They didnt even try to clean my car, it smelled like a locker room and under my hood was a mess. When I was able to have my car back, I noticed the passenger door they replaced was missing the lock mechanism, and the handle is not working as it should! Dont get me started on the hood, it looks so bad. The utter lack of attention to detail, customer care is horrendous, i dont know how anyone is okay with their work. if you care at all about your car, take it to a real body shop. This company is used by insurance because its lobbied out essentially. Did not get me "back to the rhythm" of anything. More stressful than the accident itself. Watched others pick up their car and you could see the horrible alignment from 50 yards away.

The paint job they did was not very good quality and my doors were very poorly put back together. All the screws holding things together are stripped, have one screw missing, and the lock on my door handle isn't even attached properly and doesn't work. If I ever do get in anorher collision I will be looking elsewhere for repairs and suggest you do the same.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

So I don t ever do reviews but had to for Caliber. A lot of people in different and same fields of work seem depressed and upset for being at work and doing their job. I didn t catch that feeling at Caliber Collision of El Cajon. I felt welcomed and was well informed of every detail and aspect of what was going to happen and choices i could have made. No pressure no problems. Albe was communicative and friendly and helped a lot! He and the team that worked on my car went above and beyond and i appreciate that to the fullest! I d buy them a pack of beers if they re down! (Not to drink on the job of course!) but overall im extremely satisfied with the service they provided and i will refer people to them for sure. I chose this shop because I was very stressed when somebody had hit me and I thought it would be easiest to take it to a geico approved repair center. Regretfully, I took it in and they did not complete the job how I had expected. I have a brand new 2023 Subaru that, at the time of being hit, was 4 months old. Not a single dent or scratch prior to the accident. I had minor repairs to the headlamps and bumper as well as a few scratched to the side of the car. They fixed the exterior damaged parts, but did not fix the cosmetic issues. Hear me out-- had this been my old car and not a brand new car I would not have cared about the cosmetic issues, BUT I made sure to clearly communicate with them at the time of the inspection that I wanted these cosmetic issues repaired. When I picked it up, I noticed the dent/scratch on the rim and pointed it out at which point he responded "Oh it is just cosmetic." Then the next day noticed that the other scratched were also there. I also did not get regular updates unless I reached out.Overall, slow, did not finish the job, and did not communicate.Service: Body & Trim

Do yourself a HUGE favor go somewhere else. This Caliber location does not take pride in their workmanship. No communication whatsoever! I had to keep calling for updates constantly and hard to get ahold of the person who had my case. My car was never fixed. They broke more parts than the accident caused, and tried to get me out the door with their botched job. I didn't take it telling them them I was not satisfied with the job. I left it thinking they would fix it and they didn't. It was horrible. Go to the Caliber on Johnson instead. They will take care of you.

My truck was hit with very minor damage. My insurance company suggested I take my truck to Caliber and I wish they would of sent me elsewhere to begin with. Upon my arrival Luis met with me to review my vehicle and give me the rundown of the process. I asked him a few simple questions and he seemed irritated or on edge with me asking questions. Before doing any work they were supposed to get me a price of what the repairs would be and I let him know before any work is done I would like to know what the amount would be. He then told me "I need to know if you are just using us to get a price and not actually doing the work here and if so I would have to pay $150 to put the parts back together if I took it elsewhere" I was a little caught off guard and I told him I was thinking of having them do the work but would like to know the price before anything gets done. I took my car in at 8am and they were supposed to call me within 2-4 hours. It was now 4pm and I call to find out insurance has already sent them the money and they never gave me the amount of the damage nor asked if I did want to have them go forward with the repair. I was already questioning if I wanted to have my truck repaired here as my initial experience with Luis was not great as he had a little bit of an attitude. I now pay $150 to take my truck a fee I'm told was to pay to put the truck back together. I told them I'd like to take my truck somewhere else.Upon my arrival to get my truck they told me I was able to drive my truck to wherever I wanted to get it repaired. I arrive my front bumper was completely off (mind you the damage was on my rear passenger door and it was minor scratches no reason for my bumper to have been off) as I pull out of the driveway and into the street I notice some trim pieces flapping in the wind. I drove roughly 5 miles and it seemed like parts could have fallen off and people driving next to me kept trying to get my attention to let me know things looked like they could fall off. I finally make it to my new collision shop and I think ok the worst is behind me. A few days later into the repair I get a call asking me where the actual bumper was and all the nuts and bolts were for the bumper was as they were not with the truck. I call caliber and they let me know they somehow forgot to put my entire bumper back in my truck and it was at their shop but they did not have any of the bolts associated with the bumper. When I arrive Luis is there to walk me back to get my bumper. I ask where the nuts and bolts are and he again started with attitude that he knows they put them in a bag and put them in my truck. I followed up with how can you be so certain that you guys gave me the nuts and bolts but you forgot my ENTIRE BUMPER here at your shop and sent me away. The attitude continued fromLuis until another gentleman stepped in to take over the situation. They lost the bolts to put my bumper back on, two of the parking sensors were missing, another panel from the bumper was missing. Instead of trying to find a solution or order me the missing parts they sent me on my way to figure it out on my own. Instead of getting my truck today the new shop must order all the parts that were lost causing me more delays.This has to be the worst experience I've ever had. You would think they would of at this point at least gave me back the $150 they charged me in the first place to put the parts back together but no. What should have been a simple 2-3 day downtime to fix now has me going into the 3rd week still with no vehicle!AVOID EVEN TAKING YOUR CAR HERE TO GET AN ESTIMATE FOR REPAIRS.Service: Body & Trim

Amazing Quality of work, Considering its a body repair shop it's important to have your vehicle look good. My vehicle actually looked new when I got it back. It had some front bumper damage and needed a lot of care and attention. Luis was my contact and he kept me in the loop the whole way through. More than my insurance company did. Because of the weather back east there was a delay in my part and was told my car wouldn't be ready until a certain date. Then Luis contacted me to let me know my car was done and I could pick it up before the due date. He even got me a ride to the shop. Poor communication and final return was a failure. Taillight was not properly aligned to factory depth and it took them three tries to get it right. Told me to pay for extra day of rental so they could fix what should have been done correct the first time. They also broke something electrical which delayed return and the painter left wet paint finger drops on the gear shift. Poor communication. Bad shop don t go there.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Don't waste your time going to this shop. Poor customer service & workmanship. Had to take my car back in after they said they repaired it. Had to wait 20mins, even though I made an appointment. Had to call them to check on my car status, when they said they would notify me when it was done... i returned to pickup my vehicle the bumper panel was still scratched.
