Awesome experience with Tri-Valley Automotive. Trustworthy technician/mechanic. Made an appointment, was promised completion within an hour, and I was in and out in less than that. Will definitely come back for future automotive servicing or repairs.

I visited Tri-Valley Automotive due to persistent vibration in my car when applying the brakes. After they inspected the car, I was informed that the rear brakes were the culprit and needed repairs. Given that brake-induced vibrations are more commonly associated with issues in the front brakes, this diagnosis was surprising. However, trusting their professional advice, I agreed to the suggested repairs.Regrettably, the repair did not resolve the vibrating issue. The shop did not even thoroughly test drive the car to see if the problem was fixed after the repair. They just took my payment and let me drive the car home without ensuring the problem was fixed.When I talked to the shop the next day, they suggested that the front brakes needed attention the more typical root cause of such symptoms. This oversight not only doubled my expenses but also extended the time my car is out of commission. The shop did offer to provide a discount on the additional repair. But no thanks, I will never bring my car again to this shop who cannot even diagnose a common problem and will subject customers to higher repair cost and inconvenience.

I did a pre-purchase inspection of a used vehicle here and had a fantastic experience. They took the time to hear my particular concerns from the test drive, tell me general information about my make and model, and even take a look at the car's history to see if there were any red flags. They gave me a thorough inspection--they were even able to tell the car had a rodent living in it in the past! Getting my inspection here gave me the peace of mind I needed to move forward with buying my new car.

Don at Tri Valley Automotive is far and away the most honest and efficient mechanic we have ever used. There is not shop talk about performing unnecessary maintenance or repairs. His recommendations have always been accurate and fair through the years. From our 2010 Ford Escape to our current disaster of a vehicle (2017 Lincoln MKZ), Tri Valley Automotive has never steered us in the wrong direction (pun intended).The icing on the cake is the technology they use to communicate what is happening with your vehicle in real time. From the time a mechanic starts working on your car to completion and payment, you will get updates. At the end of the discovery portion of your car's visit, a link is sent via text message. You are taken to a web-based application (no download required) that shows you a complete diagnostic report including what is bad, what will need to be changed in the near future, and what is actually running well.Like an animal that is on the endangered species list, a shop that provides this level of service should be protected and celebrated. I would encourage anyone who is reading this AND has had service to post a review. The Bay Area needs to know about them. As an aside, they also perform routine maintenance and refer out excellent mechanics for the work they do not perform. Well done to the entire team.

I feel very fortunate to have found Tri Valley Automotive. I have a 2002 vehicle with aging problems, but Don, (the owner), gave me options on which things need immediate attention, and which things will need attention in the future, according to my budget. The mechanic has yet to make a mistake, the work is very professional, and leaves my vehicle tidy.

Don is a great guy - Professional and gets the job done with quality and at reasonable price. I am going to Tri-Valley from past 3 years. They give nice report of your car s service with photos and their recommendations what is must fix and what is good to be fixed. Highly recommended!

My Mustang GT s water pump died, so I had my car towed here to be fixed. Don is awesome, honest and had fair pricing to get it fixed. He was able to fix it really quickly with a brand new water pump and by the next day I was able to drive my car again! If my car breaks down again I will definitely bring it back here.

I will always bring my Forester in for service here. Don s prices are more than reasonable and he s an honest, nice guy. For me (especially being female), that is incredibly important. I don t want to get ripped off as much as anyone else when getting my car tuned and I ve had nothing but an excellent experience with Tri-Valley Automotive. Support local!

Took my Subaru Forester for an oil change and tire rotation, also asked for help identifying why exhaust was being blown into the car by the AC/heater. Turns out my exhaust system had a crack, so I asked Tri-Valley to fix. (I knew would be expensive based on reading other Forester owner's stories about this problem.) When Don called Subaru to order the part, he was able to ascertain the issue was under an extended warranty, and he gave me a name and a dealer to call. I contacted that person at the dealer and ended up with over $4k of work done at no cost to me, due to the extended warranty and an additional recall on the vehicle. What a fantastic experience. My Honda Accord is old, running at around 140k and started to develop noise. It is also time for an oil change. So, I looked around for a repair shop to diagnosis the problem while giving an oil change. This is my first experience with Tri-Valley Automotive. I didn't know that I get 51-point inspection for free. Communication was beautiful and timely. I got a text when a technician started serving my car, when it is done and when a report is ready online for me to review. The report is easy to read that breaks down the issues into "critical", "future" with picture. The price is very reasonable. Overall, I have found my to-go place for auto services now. Tri-Valley Automotive is awesome this was my first experience with them and I am so impressed! Great service, friendly staff and super professional. Don was super kind to me (I know nothing about cars) and I felt like he kept my best interest in mind. This is the first place that I ve gone to that gives mobile inspections meaning they email you the inspection they take with pictures. I was blown away with how thorough and accessible everything was. I also loved that the shop gives you text alerts to let me know when my car was ready and when it was being worked on. WORST SERVICE AND UNTRUSTWORTHY SERVICE EVER! DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE! Really really unprofessional customer service! I asked for wheel alignment and the work done within 2 hours. When I checked out, I asked for if I will get any report on the alignment, the owner said he cannot because the printer is broken. But 10 sec later, he printed out a receipt for me with the fee I paid $96 which is higher than the Google price. I asked he that s the printer and it just worked fine. He didn t say anything. I asked do you have any warranty on the alignment that I know if you have my alignment corrected. He just said one year. No other comment. So bad services. I can t believe they treat customers this way. Shame on them. I don t think I can trust someone who lied directly to my face about some thing as simple as a work report

BEAWARE, They OVERCHARGE for the parts: I first called them to make sure they can repair my car then I towed my car to their location. For changing the Alternator they gave me a 700$ quote for the part and 1500$ total including labor. The alternator was only 250$, when I told them I will bring the part at first they accepted then they called and said we wouldn't do it as they wanted to charge me 700$ for a 250$ part.I ended up taking my car to the Pleasanton Mercedes dealer and they did it for 1400$, cheaper than these guys. They were charging me higher than the dealer, are you serious. Waste of time and money.Services: Electrical, Battery

Awesome experience at Tri-Valley Automotive in Dublin, CA.I asked if the shop could take a look over my vehicle and they got me in immediately and did a free diagnostic. Not many shops do a free diagnostic anymore so I was thankful for that.The Nissan Dealership said it was going to cost me over $7,000 worth of work with more than $3,000 in labor. Don & his team were able to repair my truck in 1 day and got me out the door for less than $1400. Very Very Very grateful! I took my car to Tri-Valley Automotive for the first time two months ago and I had a very positive experience!They were very kind and polite, they sent me an electronic diagnostic/inspection for my car showing what was working and what was not, the work was done in a timely manner and they also sent me a message a week later asking if it was everything ok with the car!I have never seen another shop do the same!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto brake replacement, Oil change

Don was great, brought my car and my wife's car in for an oil change and a couple of repairs we needed. Both needed a lot of random little things and for each car Don was able to get them done the same day we brought them in. Great communication throughout, was a really nice experience and I'll be taking my cars back for oil changes and any future maintenance! They've also got a nice system that gives you reports after the initial inspection with pictures, which I thought was really neat, and texts with updates as the car is being worked on and when it's ready. Could even pay through the website. Nice little extras like that made the experience even better :)

Tri-Valley Automotive was a GREAT experience. This was my first time taking my Jeep Renegade somewhere other than the dealer. TVA did a 30K service and also a check engine light diagnostic and repair. They shopped around for the best prices on parts while I was sitting there and communicated with me throughout the entire process via text and phone call. They got me in less than 24 hours after I called and completed the work same day. I really enjoyed working with Don and the team. I would highly recommend this shop. I will be taking my car there for any future needed repairs and services. Thanks TVA!

Don was very accommodating during my appointment with him. He provides helpful information on my Ford focus 2012 with the pre-maintenance check-up before I gave them the signal to start the repairs. My car is running really great compared to when I first bought it. I would recommend him and his crew at his shop if you want to have your vehicle to be taken care of.Update as of June 10.I seek assistance again to Don for a maintenance check as I'm planning to have a long journey to another City to make sure my car is in good condition.Ever as helpful, he and his team ensures the car is in good condition. They even ensured precautionary action is performed due to COVID-19 situation. He was also honest on his service as he my maintenance schedule is not yet due, but I proceeded to replace the change oil to prepare for a long drive.I would like to thank him again for the quality services and his team is providing!

I was referred by my friend Mony Nop. Don and his team have been great. I ve taken my car back 3 times. It s there now as I type getting worked on.Honest, fair prices, great service. Don always communicates and advises before doing anything. For aWhile I was driving all the way from Dan Rafael for service. I m closer now but still drive from Walnut Creek.When you find someone you trust it s worth the trip.

I am new to the Dublin area and needed a find a trustworthy mechanic. Happy to say that I found Don at Tri-Valley Automotive well-recommended on the Neighborhood website. Don did not disappoint! He even gave me a ride home since I live nearby.Brought my 2015 Toyota Camry for an oil change and to have it checked over. A few hours later I received a text with a link with all my car's diagnostics. Very thorough. Everything was easy to understand and no bogus "recommended repairs" like I used to get at the dealer.I'll be back!

I found them on google and I called to schedule for a service for my vehicle. The guy who answered me was very courteous and even when I got there, everything was handled professionally. They carried me along with all they were doing, and did an excellent job on my car. The pricing was very reasonable. I have 2015 Hyundai Sonata engine light display showed up. After reading positive feedback left from others, I made appointment with Don, he provided the details what needed to fix, it was instantly worked on and fixed the problem to my concern. Prior to that I called Hyundai maintenance department, just to check the engine light will take a few weeks to see, On top of that there are so many cars sitting in the parking lot that waiting to repair, not enough of workers in the departments. I strongly recommended Try-Valley automative any Hyundai vehicles repairs or services can get done quickly with the honest person like Don.

Fantastic service. Don and crew are top notch. Highly recommend. They utilize this great app that texts you a full diagnostic of your car with images. Shows whats in good condition, bad condition and things coming up that need attention. Taken my car here 3 times and Have no reason to not return.

I brought my car to Tri-Valley and the inspection revealed that there was nothing wrong with my car. I just want to start out saying I had a great experience with this company. I called around to multiple mechanics explaining what I needed done to my car and they all were extremely disrespectful. Don at tri valley actually listened to me and I explained to him my situation as I was down here in Cali for training and my class ended in 4 days. He was super helpful and had great communication. He was able to fix my issue in a time crunch without charging me an arm and a leg. I would recommend a good mechanic like this to everyone. Thank you!!!

This is the most trustworthy, efficient shop ever! I had my car towed there a couple months ago because of a recommendation by a friend, when it just stopped. Don did a diagnostic, found out it was my trans control box, and that it might be covered by an extended warranty by the dealer. It was! Don went out of his way to save me money, and didn t even charge me for the diagnostic. Went back for my oil change yesterday, Aly and Justin handled this service A++. Tri-Valley is TERRIFIC!
