I've brought my LC 100 here a few times now - most recently was to replace my transmission oil pan after a boulder managed to make an impression on it Always great work! They have been in business a long time and have the experience you can trust.

These people are incompetent, unprofessional, and deceptive. My wife is a schoolteacher, brought in her 2007 Toyota Highlander. They quoted an astonishing $5400 for a new transmission. The car easily had another hundred thousand miles to go in its life expectancy. We figured it would be worth it. They might have installed a decent transmission, but we ll never know because they destroyed the rest of the engine in the process. Of all the amateur and idiotic mistakes they could possibly make, they failed to replace the oil after they drained it, sent us off in the car after hours, and of course, it threw a rod. There was not a single drop of oil in the engine. Engine ruined. We called and told them. Next business day, Doug, the manager, puts on this whole, loud, dog and pony show about how, I told them to check the oil! I knew they forgot to put it in! So they destroyed my wife s car, then proposed we go spend $5000 to $10,000 more to have a friend of theirs across the way rebuild the engine. We ask them to find some way to fix it and/or give us our money back since they destroyed a perfectly good, working vehicle. They not only refused, but then when we filed a claim with Visa, they lied their butts off about what had occurred and said it was my wife s fault. But wait, there's more. In addition to leaving the oil compartment bone dry, they somehow managed to wreck the electrical system in the car. The windows and door locks stopped working. The dash readouts went all screwy. They made an insane mess of the car in multiple ways. Didn't have the integrity to refund our money. Unethical people, dangerously sloppy and careless, who pretend to be friendly and honest, then good luck after that. FWIW, these guys are so fraudulent that we filed claims with the automotive associations that govern garages across California and the country. Hoping these sleazy operators get to face consequences for lying to and cheating their customers. And they ripped off a schoolteacher!!!

Been going here for 23 years an I put his transmission to the test street raceing or towing I tell him what I want it to do an they make it happen priceing is very fair when you compare to what another shop will give you an what they give you. An if its repairable they repairs it unlike most shops. Thumbs up five star shop

Amazing team at Schuck's. Took my vehicle for suspicious Transmission leak and they inspected/cleaned and suggested that there might not be any issue and recommended me to bring it back after driving for some more time. All of this was done without any charges to me. Very honest and reliable shop. I will definitely go back for my Transmission needs and highly recommend. Thank youService: Transmission

Took my 88 Ford Bronco 2 to Schuck's Transmission a few weeks ago after AAMCO botched a rebuild in 2012. Jeff and his team were very courteous. Jeff took the time to hear me out about the 2-3 shift flare and how I had tried the band adjustment and shift modulator replacement with no improvement before I decided to bring it in for professional repair. Jeff was honest with me about the amount of work it would need. After the repairs, I was able to get a box of the parts that were replaced. While the transmission was being rebuilt, they also replaced the flywheel due to some broken teeth. I inspected their work afterwards and was very pleased to the attention to detail. The shift adjustment nuts on this A4LD are prone to loosening so I saw that Jeff's team had put some gasket on thise after adjustment.Lesson learned, don't take your transmission to AAMCO for a cheap rebuild. Schuck's has been a good experience and Jeff was willing to take my calls and answer any questions I had. He even provided me with the manuals for the shift kit they installed to improve the shifting after rebuild. I also saw the aftermath of the botched rebuild in the worn bands and worn out center support that was replaced.I can rest easy now that Schuck's transmission did the job right.

Been taking my vehicles to schucks since they had shop in hayward. They do the best work.i got transmissions that were done in 1997 that are still going strong today. Worth every penny. Craftsmanship and Honesty hard to find these days.

Jeff and His Team installed a 700R4 transmission into my 1972 Chevelle . I love everything about it. It is super strong and shift nicely. I'm so happy I went here . They know their transmissions. Great service and good people! They fixed up my 2014 F150 which had a misfire and did a transmission service. Doug is very knowledgeable and helpful. They had my truck fixed in just 2 days.

I shopped around and the prices seemed average. I went to Schuck's because I had a GM transmission and they knew about 4l60s and 4l80s. I used their drop box to drop the truck off after work.

I took my vehicle to Shucks Transmission for transmission work after reviewing the online business referrals. Initially I was a little apprehensive since this was not a personal reference. Based on the good service and workmanship provided, I would definitely recommend the business. Didn't go there. This was part of a goggle search. I talked to three different transmission repair shops in my area. I found one that rebuilds transmissions at their shop instead of ordering a rebuilt transmission from a third party and the over all cost was a $1000 less than the competitors

Purchased a remanufactured transmission for my Explorer. Schuck's made sure that I had fluid, gaskets and everything needed for the installation, all included. I was back on the road in less than a week. Fair prices and a well run shop. Drove an hour and a half to get that transmission and will do it again when I need my next one. Highly recommend.

I had my transmission replaced in my 2009 JKU wrangler by Schucks. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. They went above and beyond my expectations, and not once did I have any doubts about the service I was receiving. This was a performance/mod scenario, and they delivered! Jeep is running great now, and I'm still discovering little items that they went above and beyond and corrected for me, when they could have easily just said thats not my problem. Thanks again! The team at Schuck s are amazing. My family and I were moving and in a tight time restraint to pick up a cap over camper out of state. Schuck s went out of there way to make our trip happen. They diagnosed, repaired and delivered our truck with a new transmission in days, even traveling to intercept a part stuck in transit. I can t thank them enough for hard work and dedication. Went in for a P0340 (camshaft position sensor) & P0401 insufficient exhaust recirculation). Knowledgeable staff, knew exactly what I was speaking of on the phone unlike three others left unnamed. The job was correctly at a good price and in a timely fashion. Good job guys! The 96' green Ranger is running great! Cheers!

I feel like these guys are incredibly honest folks. The original quote was significantly less than competing repair shop, and the final price came back well under their own quote. They worked with my budget and did a great job!!

Schuck's Transmission is on point! I won't go anywhere else and you shouldn't either if you want loyal A+ Technicians and people you can trust handling your repairs. They've been a staple in the East bay for decades, come highly recommended by many in the race and performance field and they deliver on their reputation.
