Ray genuinely cares about his customers. My husband and I ave been going to Ray's for many years now and fully trust him and his team with all our cars! Highly recommend!!

It was February 2022 and I was calling all Mechanics in Dublin for a pre-purchase inspection of a used Honda CR-v I was about to buy. Every mechanic in the area was full for the week and so was Mr. Ray from Ray's Auto. I offered him doubled the money in order to get the inspection done but he he declined. After knowing that I am a buying used car for first time and my urgency , he managed to make an arrangement early next morning. He actually saved me from buying that car because he was able to find leak in that car's transmission.I found another CR-V from Craigslist whos owner agreed on bringing the car to Ray's Auto for pre-purchase inspection. The car cleared the inspection and I bought it on the spot. It has been 2 months and 3000miles on this car and it still runs like the day I got it. Buying your FIRST car from Craigslist is a risky move but my trust in Rays Auto was worth it.Never did I felt being ripped off for any service nor did they attempt to over sell me anything. I live a little far away from them now but I will still go there for any big repairs needed on the car from now on. Trusty Mechanics are rare to come by and I am happy I found one.Oct 2023 update: 16k miles , car still in perfect condition, happy customer.

They do a great job of taking care of all my auto repair needs. Tune-ups, oil change, new wiper blades, new tires whatever my car needs they take care of it. I have been a customer of Ray's since they opened. I have always been satisfied with theirfair price and good service.

Ray's Auto Service is a small but very dependable shop. They treat each customer as family and it's about service not just money. I have gone here for many years and always been very satisfied. Great team of guys to work with.

I first discovered Ray's Auto a couple of years ago. My 30+ year-old car failed its smog test, and all I had were the numbers from the test result with no idea what needed to be fixed and dreading how much it would cost. I went to Ray's after a couple of people at work recommended it as a general auto repair shop. When I got there, I showed my smog test numbers to Javier and after no more than 15 seconds, he said I should take it to the auto welding place down the block to replace the catalytic converter, which was probably still the original. He was right about both, and a few days and a couple of hundred bucks later, my car passed the smog test.Here's the thing that really impressed me other than the expertise to diagnose the problem so quickly. Javier didn't charge me a cent! I even asked how sure he was and if I should just have them do a full diagnosis. He said he could if that's what I wanted, but he was confident about the problem and didn't want me to waste my money on an unnecessary diagnosis. How's that for honest?Needless to say, I've been taking this same car and my family's other cars here since that day with no regrets and frequent experiences reminding me of their fair (not absolute lowest, but if that's what you're looking for, good luck to you and your passengers) pricing, honesty (e.g., telling me when a repair/replacement can wait vs. when it's urgent...and why), and great quality work (e.g., they just recently worked on a full rebuild of my 30+ year-old car and I couldn't be happier with the results!).Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Oil change

Ray does work on my work vehicle & 3 personal cars for the past 8 years. He is reliable, honest & so much cheaper then the dealerships. He says that is because he doesn't have the fancy dealership to pay for. My husband knows a lot about cars & Ray has never done anything unnecessary on our vehicles.

Very honest and trustworthy shop. I had brake pads and rotors done here recently. Quality and timely work by staff. No attempt to up sell additional non needed items. I will go back here for future work.

Ray's auto shop was open on a Saturday when most other auto shops weren't. On top of that, they were cheaper. Even on top of that, they gave me great service and were honest. 5 stars indeed!

Ray does work on my entire families cars and has ever since I moved to Dublin in 2012. Very honest guys that are hella timely and are at a fair price. Recommending to any friend in the area I have.

Had my car broke down and brought it to "the family mechanic" Ray took a look and listen and knew what it was right away. Car was fixed and back in the road the next day!

Dishonest with what they tell you just to get the work then they try to charge you for additional fees. I don't know how these guys are on business trying to scam people. Worst mechanic experience ever..be careful your better off finding a new shop...completely unprofessional business!!!

Single worst mechanic experience of my life! Charged me for labor which wasn't performed, and parts that he didn't replace. My wish would be for 10 more hands, just so I could give this place 10 THUMBS DOWN!
