I am changing my original 5 star review because I recently had a horrible experience with Bacchus.Two weeks ago I had an oil change performed for my Jaguar and I don't know what they did but when I parked the car, there was a significant amount of leak underneath. I called Sheik and his lack of concern was shocking! I took the car to Cerrone's, a very reputable Jaguar shop in Red Wood city. They examined the car and reported significant amount of oil under the carriage. They also reported that the drain plug and some of the oil pan bolts were all loose. When I called Sheik with the news, he showed no concern at all! Cerrone's cleaned the car completely, tightened everything and the car is fine now.Sheik has become significantly busier over the last 6-8 months and he has several young people working at the shop now and I believe is the lack of experience and supervision which led to this issue. I will not be taking my car to Bacchus anymore.

I ve owned three Land Rovers over the years and as we all know, they need frequent service to keep them running properly. When the dealer warranty comes to an end, I discovered Bacchus as the perfect place to bring British cars for service. The owner is a highly trained mechanic and is very honest in suggesting what needs to be done to these trucks. I ve had Bacchus do minor service plus some pretty major work and I ve been extremely happy every time. Finding quality shops is difficult so put this one on your saved contact list for service.

Had alot of work done to our car,which we were over charged and the car still was not fixed.ennding up having to take it to another mechanic and paid more money to get it right. I contacted Bacchus and told him what happened and he said he would give us our money back ! Never did ! Not a man of his word !!!!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Worth looking at this shop for your car needs. They are genuine and know their stuff. While they do some very high end work that is quite lucrative, i.e full rebuilds for custom cars, 150K+, they work also with those of us who enjoy driving and maintaining the older LR's that quite frankly are not worth that much $, relatively speaking, but are lovely to drive. Personally over the years they have identified and worked out issues for me such as drive train, belt, air compressor replacement, etc. They do a thorough job at a pretty reasonable rate. Its gotten more expensive over the years on an hourly basis, but seems like everything has. If you go, note that it is pertinent you are patient as the shop is very busy- the job might take a few weeks+ before completion. All in all, if you do not have the expertise required for some of the more boutique or taxing work and/or just want to go somewhere that they enjoy and are passionate about European cars and LR's. This is a great place. That said, if you are farther than 60 minutes by car, I would recommend to evaluate closer shops as I'm guessing there are others with similar staff and output as this is the bay area. (As well as others that would totally take you for a ride with unnecessary costs, so maybe you drive up to 1.5 hours here :P) Personally I drive 30 minutes which I find quite reasonable and feel glad to have found them as the previous service company to my used car that I purchased.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement, Tire rotations, Oil change

Proud of their work.I went to this shop after my car broke down. The work was done timely. I found an issue with the work as my engine kept heating up. I took it back to the shop after few months and the shop fixed it at no cost. They take pride in their work.Service: Electrical repair

Simply the only shop to use if you have a Rover. I still call for advice even though I ve been traveling for 3 years which btw I did with my Disco 2 after Sheik made the engine whole, new gaskets, pumps, wires, et at 135k. I have been using Bacchus for years and the service has always been great. They are dependable and are able to help in a timely manner. Recently I was headed on a long trip with the car packed to the brim and I smelled gas from the car the morning we were leaving. This immediately halted our trip and I thought would cause us to lose a minimum of a couple of days for Sheik and the team to figure out what the problem was and fix it. Within 8 hours they fit me into their schedule, got the parts that were required, took out the entire gas tank and replaced the broken part to get me on the road. They have been excellent with help in a pinch but this took it to the next level.

After searching for a jaguar repair place for sometime I used a few references to find Bacchus Motors. I was stunned by how attentive they are to details and getting things done correctly the first time. Sheik is fantastic he like a surgeon when it comes to fixing high end cars. He gives a high level of service every time I bring my car in for service. Totally trustworthy and conscienous.

Sheik is great. Always willing and able to work on my p38 range rover and extremely knowledgeable about its various systems. Very friendly too which is a big plus. Staff go out of their way for the customer, couldn t ask for a better mechanic shop than Bacchus. Really impressed

Sheik is greatest! He took care of me from A-Z and was completely transparent and honest with me throughout the entire process. He made sure my repairs got approved by my warranty company and my Jag came back like it was brand new again! Sheik is the best and I HIGHLY recommend him. These guys are the most honest car repair place I ever dealt with! They point at things that need to be looked after at a later services appointment and they don't pressure you to do it NOW, as if the world is coming to an end. Prices are fair market, I did try other dealers and quick oil change places which try to sell you items that have nothing to do with the service you asked for.BTW, I have (she has) a 2007 Jag X-Type and its been round the block a few times when I moved to PA, GA and back to CA. I am new the the area and when my car broke down I didn't know what to do. I was able to contact Bacchus and immediately my concerns were addressed and I had the vehicle towed over. They kept me updated on the progress and gave me upfront pricing. I truly appreciate how much they helped me. I got my car back and it's running great!

Vince was FANTASTIC, FRIEDNLY, and HELPFUL. AMAZING SERVICE!!!I originally called asking about body work for a popped out side panel on my 2015 Range Rover Sport. After explaining to me that they don't necessarily do body work they said to still bring it in and they would have a look.Vince, a mechanic in the shop, took about 25 minutes to do exactly what the Range Rover dealership couldn't do in a whole day. Vince was able to inspect the manual, figure out a solution, and with a little elbow grease fix my panel. I will definitely be bringing my Range Rover here for all service in the future and recommend that everyone in the area go to Bacchus.To Vince's manager, Sheikh - Vince is awesome, great guy and excellent customer service - and he said he's only been there 7 months. I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied with his help.Thanks again!!- Anthony Helou

My good friend recommended I call Sheik when I needed a Brake Job and basically an inspection on my Cadillac Escalade. My experience was excellent , the work was completed in a timely manner and the communication very clear as to repairs and costs. I am so happy to have Bacchus as my new auto repair shop.

I found this business online after receiving no response from a competitor and decided to make an appointment to have an oil leak checked out. I am so glad I found them. They provide exceptional customer service and follow up and also saved me a substantial amount of money by repairing parts and not having to replace them as originally quoted. Fast, friendly, and honest service. I will be taking my Evoque back when necessary.

Shiek had a bad attitude and I didn't have a good feeling about the Pre-Purchase inspection being done on my vehicle. Regardless I saw it as prudent so I went forward with it. They came up with a list, so I guess I trusted it based on the number of items present. Things they missed and omitted from the inspection report included low indicated engine oil pressure on the gauge in the dash and nonfunctional ABS (the warning lamp has never come on and the ABS doesn't work. Never has under my ownership. It should come on when the car is started.) They also missed several key signs of obviously failed hydraulic accumulators. I feel like these issues are key and worth much more in repairs than the issues they did come up with (such as tire condition, which I knew about, old hoses and belts, which I knew about because I could see them, a few obviously broken electrical functions, and a few leaks that might be concerns but so far nearly 3 months in haven't been evidently leaking)On top of that the person I bought the car from encouraged me to use this particular inspection service, so that combined with the bad attitude and careless handling of the inspection have made my experience with Bacchus British Service feel like dealing with bad tempered crooks in retrospect, but hey, you win some you lose some. I learned from it, and what I learned was to always insist on your own independent mechanic, and never go to one that the shop selling the car suggests.

If you have a Range Rover, don t go to the dealer. You get way better service here and they actually explain what is in the best interest of the car based on what you drive. I have a 2013 Supercharged Autobiography and it feels brand new even with over 80k in miles thanks to these guys!
