I had a great experience with M&J automotive. The men were gentlemen and did not try to over sell me anything that I didn't need. They got me back on the road fast with no delays. The shop is clean. They noticed a few things that need future attention but didn't push me to do it now, but gave me quotes for future attention. They picked me up when my car was finished. I highly recommend them for working on your car. Lori

I am so glad I took my '95 4Runner to M&J Automotive. These guys are quality mechanics who take their time diagnosing issues instead of throwing parts at the car. Their attention to detail is amazing. And they are very communicative. I was informed of new findings from diagnostic testing, costs and timing any time something came up. I appreciate all of their hardwork to make my rig drive like a dream again. If you're looking for a great mechanic, look no further than M&J automotive. They are the best!

I called Mike for routine maintenance after not wanting to pay Dealer prices. He got me in right away and did a full inspection. Everything the Dealer wanted to do could be put off for approximately another 10,000 miles. He and Joe gave me a detailed report with pictures and pricing, which was much lower than the Dealer. Mike explained everything and I feel I can really trust him. I will be back!

MIke and Joe were awesome. They got me right in and were able to help me even on a Sunday. They did a diagnostic and found a small issue which they corrected with no charge. I am very happy and they will be getting my automotive business in the future.

We took our Mini in for routine service. M&J did a service and mileage review and determined what was and wasn t needed, saving us some money. They also identified wildlife issue and we got that cleared out. Great individualized attention to detail as usual. Thanks guys!

I called M&J in a complete pinch because being a newbie with a dually, I didn t realize gas station air pump valves aren t compatible. As such, I drained air in one of our tires because as mentioned, I m a newbie with a dually. Called them, they answered promptly and told me to bring the truck in, I showed up in 5 minutes and they were done in 5 minutes. Should I mention they didn t even charge me? It s as though they knew I practically got my arm stuck between my dually tires while trying to remove the valve cover. Seriously, they made my day way less stressful and this tired mama is grateful!!!

These guys did an amazing job!! when it came to custom fabricating and air tank and compressor on my tow truck for me. They custom welded and made brackets, wired and plumbed it all within a few hours. Great service.

I don t think I can possibly say enough good things about M&J. They did incredible work. I ve had many mechanics that I left feeling ripped off or not understanding why things were being done, but they walked me through every step of everything that needed to be fixed or repaired or changed. The transparency was refreshing, I highly recommend coming to the shop for any of your vehicle needs. I ll definitely be bringing our vehicles back here. From my first phone contact till the finished work on my Mazda!!! Stellar service , prompt , efficient , thorough, great price, no upsale. I feel like this is the service we used to get 20 years ago. Brought my '87 Toyota pickup here for helping me resolve a rough idle, noisy valves, and smog check failure issue. Michael is extremely knowledgeable about the motor and possible causes for the rough idle. The whole process went smoothly, and the communication was excellent. Even though what we originally thought were the issues became something else, I felt that I was getting solid advice. In the end, the truck runs great, passed smog, and has better performance.Highly recommend M&J and will be taking my truck back in the future for other upgrades and repairs (if needed).Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

It's been a long time since I've been so impressed with this level of professionalism and integrity. I highly recommend this shop!! A+++I took my car in for brakes, wasn't sure if I needed front, back or both. But the wear indicators were making noise, so something was needed.Turns out those that put on my rear pads last time didn't install the wear indicators correctly, so the left one had slipped and was making the noise. No brakes needed - whoo hoo! Saved $300-$600.Mike fixed the wear indicators, took a peak around the undercarriage (nothing else found) and even put fluid in my wiper reservoir as the low fluid light was on.Now for the real kicker - he refused payment, wouldn't take a dime for the 35-40 minutes he spent on my car (including a before and after test drive). He says "I did nothing".What a wonderful thing, made my day for sure! Thank you Mike!Service: Brakes

The estimate was accurate for all preventive work performed. At scheduled appointment time Mike and Joe were ready to go. Impressed with service and treatment of vehicle, my wife and me. I have a difficult vehicle to work on and Mike didn't complain in any way. He just found a way to do it right the first time. It was a productive pleasure bringing my vehicle to M & J for my 2nd battery and alternator installation. I am very happy I found this shop.

I had a GREAT experience here. Everything about the process was streamlined from the time I called to the time I got my car back. I got a VERY detailed diagnostic with pictures included of everything that needed attention.Both Mike and Joe took the time to explain the services that needed immediate attention, and others to address in the future.Great communication, consistent updates, clean office, timely service.I will be going back, and highly recommend!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Joe & Mike THANK YOU,THANK YOU, THANK YOU, we called them literally 10 mins before they closed and they took us in last minute. My husband and I were on a road trip to Lake Tahoe for memorial weekend. Our check engine light turned on and they took their time and did a full check on our car. I will highly recommend them pricing is reasonable and they are both very friendly and efficient. Once again thank you for your great service and your time!

Took in my 2013 Prius C for an oil change, tire rotation, and spark plug replacement. Mike did an awesome job within a very decent amount of time. Was in and out quick, and paid very decent prices for any place around. Very nice and clean waiting area. Will continue to bring my car back for anything I may need! I have Mike and Joe work on all 3 of my vehicles, even though I have to travel from Rocklin to do so. It's worth the drive to me. Nothing gets past them. They've done everything from routine maintenance to electrical work to complete suspension replacement. These guys aren't like a lot of 4 wheel drive shops that only do "remove and replace" work, they're true mechanics. Mike once found the source of a knock coming from the underside of the back end of my 4Runner that was bugging the heck out of me that I never would have found. After a test drive he found it in about 1 minute and fixed it in 5. It was a slightly bent lower shock mount that got banged on a rock somewhere. Problem solved. Anyway, this is a great shop and I think these guys are really gonna be successful. Glad to do business with Joe and Mike.

Great shop!I called M & J for help with a small maintenance need (a turn signal light on my 07 Camry), and Mike, the one who answered, said he would be happy to help with that. Their shop is in the industrial park in Diamond Springs, has a gated, fenced area (information for you if would be concerned about theft or damage), and the shop area is larger on the inside than it looks from the outside. It has a small but very nice waiting area. They do have some evening and weekend hours, which could be a big help for some of us. Mike opened up the hood when I got there, (while I was standing there) and immediately smelled and saw coolant. Sure enough, it was time for a new radiator. He did a great job of sourcing parts and getting it installed that very evening. The price was very fair. He took care of my lightbulb installation as well, tidied up some loose protective material under the car, checked air in the tires, did some very good cleaning of the engine and wheel/axle areas and a little bit of scanning to check for any other issues. Both of the mechanics in the shop have a lot of years of professional experience, including dealerships.
