I am handicapped pulled in asked if would ck air in tires. He said pull up here then went back to office I sat there for min. He came back said oh u want me to do it. He was obnoxious rude. Pretend to ck took off 2 caps said good . Walked away. I then went to Goodyear. They said missing 2 caps 2 of my tires were down 10 pounds each.would never go again

Blatant "anti-social personality type." Completely different treatment since I've came out as queer and since transitioned. He was fully willing to help me until I arrived in person. Speaking for the community, we notice these things and remember them. We see you. - TLDR; Georges Auto repair is on my blacklist.As of 3:35pm on Wednesday, November 29; I have a personal problem with "George." After almost 10 years of sporadic, repeat business whenever I'm in town - he couldn't care less about a return customer being stranded, trying to make it across town for a tire repair. Why did you tell me you had my size for repair over the phone in this situation? Did you even check, or are you hurting that badly for business? I know you have time to read this post.I'm here, calling you out publicly. This is your chance to own up to it. I would like to have a civil discourse about our interaction today. Unless, that is, you have nothing to say for yourself? Absolutely unreal. Say nothing, and it can be assumed that you agree with my statement.Any decent human being deserves the chance to apologize. What will it be, George?

Pros: They were able to fit me in at the last minute with only 1 day's notice.Cons: They charged me $120 just to read the code for my check engine light. I've never before been to a mechanic that didn't do that for free. Costs for repairs were in addition to the $120 just to read the code.

I had trouble with my engine over heating. Brought my Kia Forte to George's shop and the mechanic replaced 2 hoses and told me what to do next with prior work at another place. Great service and good price. I highly recommend George's if you want quality work.

Excellent service and reasonable price! The guys were friendly and very knowledgeable. They helped me open up my alternator, which I needed to do for swapping out the voltage regulator. I was frustrated for several days, but they helped me in 10 minutes. They have over 35 years of experience. Highly recommended!

Friendly, fast service! Performed almost all the big maintenance jobs on my subaru in the past 3 years. They're always kind and take the time to explain all the options before doing anything. They also always delivered my car back before or at the time they estimated. Highly recommended.

For the past 3 years, I always go to George's whenever my car rebels against me. My friend recommended them to me initially. I trust George and Eric. I know they are good and never will rip off from me. Highly highly recommend them!!

I have been going to George and Erik(his chief mechanic) for years. These days it's hard to find someone you can trust and they are incredibly trustworthy and honest. They're a small shop and they'll tell you whether what you need is within their scope or not. Most things are in their zone and they have always given me a great price while so many other shops in Davis seem to jack up the price simply because "it's Davis". Sometimes if something is a quick simple fix that might only take them a second they'll actually stop what they're working on and fix it and send you on your way and only charge $20 or something - Who does that anymore? They are truly one of a kind....You'll always get an honest answer here and friendly service. I moved to San Francisco and I still come back because they are such great people...

Since my trusty mechanic mr Redfield retired. I now go to George's. I get the same trusty feeling. So important to have honest mechanics. They are honest, skillful, and prompt and amicable. We found our mechanics.

The attitude of the front desk man is so atrocious. I will never return. I have never had a door slammed in my face because what I needed serviced wasn t worth it since it was simple and inexpensive.

INCREDIBLE! I had a brake replacement job and a smog check and they got it done the same day I dropped the car off :)) very nice and even showed me what the damaged parts looked like and what they did!

The older gentleman is a rude piece of garbage. I will not be bringing any of my family s 6 cars there ever again. I will be calling the BBB to file a report.

Simple, no frills place, very nice owner. I typically have my smog tests done here, there's never been and wait, and I always left feeling great.

This is the affordable shopping center in Davis. It includes the Dollar Store and Goodwill. The Grocery Outlet has quality food with low prices and uncertain availability. I think that the canned fish is the best deal.

I always go to George s first. Even if it winds up being something they can t take care of they help me avoid getting ripped off at the next place.

Unprofessional. George is rude and will pass the phone to Erik once you begin asking any hard questions. Neither one are problem-solvers.

Very rude. As another user wrote, George hung up in the middle of our conversation as soon as the conversation no longer benefited him.
