Davis Auto saved me $1,429. I had my battery changed at AAA on second street. AAA then told me my bearings needed changing at the cost of $1,429. I then took my car to Davis Auto who ran a diagnostic and found that my bearings are just fine. Davis than recommended maintenance items to bring my car up to peak performance. Besides being professional, knowledgeable, and experienced---they are honest.

Shane replaced my ac condensing unit and serpentine belt. It was a costly repair and took me a couple weeks to get it done. He was very helpful and tried to save money anywhere he could. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

They were the only place that had an opening to fix my daughter's car. They did a good job and got it fixed quickly.

Shane is awesome and a super nice guy. We were on our way to Tahoe where I realized we needed to put in new freeze proof wind shield wiper fluid. I called Shane hoping he could help remove the old fluid. He asked me to come in and not only did he help me right away but he did it for free. He stopped what he was doing, siphoned out the old fluid and got us going within about 15 min. He could ve easily charged me and I would ve happily paid.It ended up snowing on our way up and we would ve been totally screwed if he hadn t helped.Thanks Shane!Service: Auto maintenance

My daughter went here based on a recommendation. I don't think we'll go back. The repair was done right but the price was more than even the dealer would have charged by almost 2/3 and more than the original quote. Super friendly and talked through everything but I feel like I was ripped off. The part alone was more money than the dealer charges, which I've never seen from an independent auto shop. I'll keep looking for somewhere else in this area who doesn't take advantage of college students.Service: Engine repair

I had a great experience with Davis Auto Works. I had brought my car in after it had started smoking and they were able to identify the problem very quickly. They were communicative and gave me frequent updates throughout the day. They found that a previous repair from a different auto shop had gone wrong and provided me with ample information to help me get a refund from them for the repairs. Definitely recommend!Service: Air conditioning

This shop agreed to diagnose some brake issues that I figured would be under warranty from a different shop. Turned out I didn't need any work done, but they spent considerable time making sure and gave me a great price on the diagnosis. Time is money for shops like this, but they put the customer first.

Was on our way from California to Nevada to visit family when the check engine light of our jeep wrangler started flashing. Called other shops and Davis Auto Works was the only one to take us right in and get us back on the road four hours later after changing multiple fuel injectors. Professionalism, reliability, and trustworthy! No bs. Highly recommended. Plus downtown is super close so was able to hangout nearby.Service: Engine repair

Horrible customer service and a complete scam. We called ahead on Friday and informed them that we would have the car towed on Monday. Again, we called on Monday to let them know. Once the car got there, they said they had no idea that it was coming even though we had already spoken twice. We knew the issue going in, and they fabricated many other issues, including saying we need new tires when they are brand new. This place will rob you. Do not go here even if it is your last resort!!

Wonderful servicing and timely delivery! Shane greeted us with the utmost courtesy and walked through all the problems in my car. Got the timing belt replaced and fixed a major oil leak at a very reasonable estimate which saved me at least 500$.Will keep coming here for all my auto servicing. Highly recommended.

Warning: This place is a scam that not only rips you off, but does shoddy work as well. Back in February i needed an oil change quickly, so i went here as it was the closest. They charged me $75 for a synthetic oil change for a sedan. Now merely months later and barely 2000 miles on my car, i checked the oil level, and it is nearly empty. Suffice it to say, i will never be coming here again and neither should you.

I usually do auto repairs myself. Since I am starting school this week I decided to take it into Davis Auto Works. Shane was very nice on the phone. His quote for a valve adjustment was right in line with other quotes I received around town, including the dealership. The job was a 2 billable-hour job. Once they had my vehicle, the service changed. I received no phone call letting me know they had started work on the car (like they had promised). When I called, 40 minutes after it was supposed to be done, I was told it was almost done and that I would receive a phone call when it was done, soon. Two hours later I called. Dennis answered the phone and when I asked the status of my car he abruptly told me they were on lunch and the car wasn't done. It wasn't until 2 pm that I finally received a call saying it was done, but for 10% above the quoted amount. The overnight increase in price was not from additional labor needed for my particular vehicle, rather it was that the one part they needed "cost more than thought". When I call to get a quote, I expect that the shop knows the cost of the parts they will/might use. Nope, they were 50% off the price of the one part they used. Now, the price of the part may have increased once I bothered them so much by calling twice to check on the status, or they may have genuinely been wrong about the price. Either way the job took much longer than I was told and cost more. Although Shane was a nice guy, I will not be returning nor would I recommend their services.

My car was having trouble right on Olive Drive the other week and I stopped by to ask what was wrong. Shane was very helpful and honest with me about my car battery problem.I'm not a car person so he could have easily performed unnecessary services on my car for money but he was honest with me and his straight-forward diagnostic saved me from a big headache.

Stop looking around for HONEST mechanics. Your search is over. Shane is the man. I was just like you....reading all the reviews from every auto shop trying to find the right guy. He is fast,efficient, truthful and I immediately felt confident going forward with future repairs and scheduled maintenance on my truck.

My alternator died and was able to get my car here tow'dThe guys worked on my car very quickly and was able to get my car back before they went to lunchPricing was reasonable, and they were very pleasant and understandingI will be coming here again.

I would not recommend this place I went to get my car fixed but the manager there didn't told me that other things thta go along with the tires ball join parts were bad so he just changed the pasts that I told him to change but as an"experts" they are they supposed to tell people when other things that go in line with are wrong or else you'll be end up wasting more money I don't not recommend this placeService: General repairs & maintenance

A cheater and unprofessional auto-shop I have ever seen like the Davis Auto Works. He's given me different diagnostic condition with different prices to my car and finally charged $1000, but my car is not running well. When I turned back and shared the problem, he estimated another amount of money. He is just making empty the pocket of people to make himself wealthy. For one hour work he charges $500 for labor fee. Imagine if it is fair and he is really a human being...

They were so helpful and kind! I was praying through town on a road trip with my 2 small kids even my tire blew out! They so willingly helped with it and tightened the spare to make sure it was safe. Super helpful!

I called an asked about a repair cost. It seems that this place wants to make the most money from you without showing any concern for their customer experience. This shops wants to act like an auto parts store to sell you over price parts. Their goal is to squeeze every last penny out of you. I would not recommend this shop. The owner is condescending and shows no empathy for students who are struggling to pay for college.

Shane saved me 70% of what my honda dealer quoted me and I couldn t be happier with the service and work they did on my car. I highly recommend coming here if you re looking for professional service and work on your car!

Shane fixed my car when no one else could. After sitting non-op for almost a year I had my 2003 Mitsubishi towed in as a last ditch effort. Shane diagnosed and fixed it. Wahoo!!

I love this place! Such high quality costumes and makeup and everyone is welcoming and it's really just a big family, coming together to make an amazing work of art. Definitely recommend

These people are very rude and pushy. They are rude and try to pad the bill. I pretended not to know anything about cars and they tried to rob me. Scammers!!

Great service for a walk in appointment on a coolant system emergency. Car fixed the same day!
