Highly recommend coming here to try the Artichoke lasagna it was delicious! Came here with my boyfriend for the first time we enjoy trying out different restaurants. Friendly staff made us feel at home. We also ordered the fish and chips and they were crispy and delicious soft inside. Location is spacious plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Calm and relaxing we sat inside next to the warm fireplace it was so relaxing. Staff went above and beyond for us that I highly recommend!Nearby activities: Shark tooth beach is nearby beautiful with nice ocean views and waterfall .stop there for a walk and some relaxing time 10/10 highly recommend

The Roadhouse definitely has a good ambience with plenty of personality. View, even when rainy, was picturesque and very pleasing to look out at while eating.The food came out quick and was very tasty. Myself having the artichoke lasagna with a shared caramelized Brussels sprouts appetizer. The cocktails and wine also appeared comprehensive and of average make.The burgers are good, but come with a few warnings. At a starting price of 18.75$ you would think sauce and cheese are included but they are 2$ extra. Not including the rest of the actual extras which are 3$ each respectively. The menu is written in a way that this is not directly obvious, buyer be warned.Overall it s a place that I would go if I came across on a scenic drive along the California coast. Not a place I would set as a destination.Food & drinks: The food here is tasty and somewhat above average compared to the typical Santa Cruz fare. Many of the items are reasonably priced and very tasty.Though the burger is bereft of reasonable pricing as everything ,including sauce, costs extra to the amount of 2-3$ each.The cocktails, if ordered on their special weekly days, are both tasty and reasonably priced.

It was stormy but still beautiful. They were so nice and accommodating. Ended up having an issue with hot water so they fully refunded us and were so nice. I can't wait to go back another time and try again.Nearby activities: Many beautiful beaches nearby. The restaurant and bar are fun too.Food & drinks: Great food and drinks.

Great spot for dinner. We like going to trivia night on Wednesday but the food is great 7 days a week. The prosciutto and arugula pizza is my favorite!Food & drinks: Great food, good beer on tap, full bar.

What a fun place! Food and staff were great. Loved the live music. Thinking about booking a night at the inn and exploring the area next time we visit the coast.

Seems like all roads lead to Davenport when traveling down the coast. Today, like many others, I found myself wanting to enjoy the beauty of sharkfin cove, and the Davenport Roadhouse is the logical place to get great food and chill. Well today, it was to warm up.First, the brussel sprouts are amazing, they're covered in an apple juice ponzu sauce that is amazing. Their drinks are always strong and I'm always satisfied with their old fashioneds, and yes they come with the big ice cube.The atmosphere is chill and the staff are great. This is my go to place to stop while driving down highway one.

We stopped here for lunch after some local sightseeing. The waitress was attentive but not overbearing, the service was quick, and the food was tasty. They have a spacious interior dining room and outdoor seating on their porch where it appeared dogs were welcome. There is a small parking lot on the side for patrons, but it does seem limited.While the food was good and satisfying, it felt like it was missing a little extra oomph. We did enjoy our meal, and the portion sizes are satisfactory, but I can't help but think it could have been "more" - not that I can put my finger on what it needs. Overall, I would return for another meal when back in the area and encourage others to drop in for a hearty meal.

Cool roadside restaurant.All the usual pub style fare, nothing extra fancy.Stick to burgers, sandwiches, wings and fries. You can't go wrong.Service was a little slow, they are under staffed. Patience and time is needed when visiting Davenport Roadhouse.

This place has changed hands in the past, but the current incarnation is good, at least for the restaurant. I have never stayed in a room here, though I looked them over once several years ago. Each room was quite different from the others, and some were in an adjoining building. The style was pretty nineteenth century, for the most part. Things might have changed since then.The food today is a bit expensive but tasty and well-prepared, and shows the hand of a trained chef. Service used to be very slow, but now it is about average response time. All in all a very good meal overlooking the ocean. There is live music occasionally.

This place is such a nice stop when driving up the one! I can not say enough about this place! The food was great; the server(Marcela) was perfect, and the people in general were welcoming. Our server was patient with us and was able to show up at the perfect time to take our orders. She communicated very well about the shift between breakfast and lunch and also took the time to make sure we didn t forget any detail of our order ( everyone forgets a special request for a sauce or something). She also made sure no glass went empty without request. She was a good server.The food was absolutely delicious as well. It wasn t just a burger, fries and ketchup. There was so much depth to every bite, it s hard to explain without telling you you have to experience it.All in all, this is a place to go in the area. This place definitely puts a lot of love and thought into everything they do.

There were two tables inside with a couple at each table and one table outside with diners. We got seated and it took them forever to take our order. Food came out in a pretty decent time but when my kids opened their napkins, one of my kid s fork had food stuck to it, and the others had a little food stuck to it. She never came back after she gave us our food so we didn t have a chance to say anything to her. My son showed her the silverware when she finally came to refill our water glasses and she proceeded to give him a new set off of another table even though we had already finished our food. We waited quite a while for the bill but she never brought it to us so I went up front to pay. My kids said the wings were good, but the fried pickles were dripping with grease. My beet salad had four slices of beets around a mound of salad greens with almonds on top and feta cheese. Not bad, but I was expecting something different from a beet salad.For those prices i expected better. I don t think I ll be going back. This place just isn t my cup of tea.

Absolutely love his place! We are visiting from Ohio, took a ride to the coast and found this little gem! A band was playing the best music, food was AMAZING and staff were so gracious. Hope I get over to California again, I ll definitely stop in for the garlic fries!Parking: Parking was right next to the restaurantKid-friendliness: Families were there having a great time!

I pass this place soo many times on my way to Santa Cruz. Lots of parking during the week. I remember the weekends the place always looked busy. Inside, there's a gift shop, clean bathrooms, and the restaurant! The waitress was super nice! The food was Amazing. I got a roadhouse burger and garlic fries. The roadhouse burger doesn't have a set recipe I guess, you build the burger from the list of ingredients. I did a basic cheese burger I guess with pepper jack lettuce tomato and onions, medium rare. Dry. Good portions! But the fries. I got on recommendation from the waitress. I can't place what made the fries taste so freaking good. It was obviously garlic, but I think it was parsley or cilantro, lime? Or maybe allspice?? I dunno. But never had anything like it and practically upstaged the burger. Davenport is within Santa Cruz city limits. Plenty of beaches nearby to walk off a big meal. I would probably return in the near future to explore more of the menu and gift shop. Good price. Great service. My waitress was awesome. Don't know her name but major shout out to her. She had purple shoes.

We had lunch recently and really enjoyed the ambiance and food. We shared the clam chowder, meat and cheese board, and a chicken wrap. The wine was also excellent. They had live music, which we could hear outside on the patio.Food & drinks: We had lunch, which was excellent. We did not stay at the hotel.

We didn't stay here, we just had lunch. The location is great, but not much of a view. Under complete construction from top to bottom. Band that was playing was quality, but it was so loud we practically had to yell talk. Food arrived quickly but lacked seasoning and flavor. Staff was somewhat pleasant but not attentive in any way. Prices are very high for what you get.It's very unlikely that we'd eat here again. It definitely could be a cool place under the right management and kitchen staff.

The food, service, and ambience were phenomenal! We arrived two minutes before kitchen close but they were so kind and let us order and stay without a rush. There was live music and the servers were extremely helpful and sweet. Would absolutely come back again!

We stopped by for lunch. The food was incredible. We got wings with buffalo sauce on the side, the Brussel sprouts, and the tacos. All phenomenal. I got the local Pilsner and it was very good as well. I only leave reviews when I m blown away!
