I used to always get my car smogged here. Never again will I even get gasoline here or smog. Went in there to get a smog, and the guy helping was not welcoming at all. It almost felt like he didn't even want my money from the get go. I pulled my car around back and he saw that I had an aftermarket intake and automatically said, its unacceptable. Had to show him the sticker that said "For legal sale and use in California". He didn't seem happy to help me after that at all. My O2 sensors came back as not ready, and he told me to go drive it for 50 miles and come back and charged me $50 as well...for nothing. I went and drove it on the freeway for a while, came back and again didn't look happy to see me. He grabbed a different ODBII reader from a car parked out back and he said again "Its still not ready" he then walked away and proceeded to work on another car without telling me anything AT ALL. No goodbye, no advice, NOTHING!!! Just walked away and taken of $50. I will never come back here again for ANYTHING after that kind of service. I just bought an ODB reader on Amazon and will do this myself, then when my 02 sensor if ready, I will bring it to a different shop for certification.

Thanks to Habib for doing the necessary repairs to my overheating car until I finally brought it Chevy. He even made notes for Chevy on what he has done and replaced, without charging me a hefty price.

Habib was excellent and prompt. Put his existing job on hold to do a quick Smog Check for me -- so I could be on my way. Short on staff -- he provides great service.

I arrived right at opening on Monday for a smog check, but as luck would have it, the machine went down for an update. The tech said he would call me when the machine was ready. And he did! I drive down pronto and got my certificate a short while later. I really appreciate the callback.

I was really pulling for this place to be good since I work like right across the street so I could refer my co-workers to him. All I needed was an oil change and a smog, and he royally messed up in my book. Smog went well (pass), but I noticed my engine compartment had smoke leaking from it on the drive home. Long story short, whoever did my oil must not know what the hell a funnel is because it looks like a middle school water fight occurred under my hood (poured engine oil all over my block and headers). My car smoked for two days and smelt horrible for about two weeks. You had one job. Since then I have already persuaded 3 co-workers not to take it to this guy even though he does offer a $10 discount for our employees.

I started taking my vehicles to Habib in 2003. Over the years, Habib and George provided all manner of maintenance (tune-ups, struts, brakes, radiator, CV joints, clutch, wheel bearings, A/C compressor, brakes/rotors, tie rods, timing belts, water pump, rack and pinion assembly, complete fluid changes [tranny, differential, coolant, engine oil) and of course smog checks, all at a fraction of what local dealers charge. Their service has been flawless, both on old and much newer vehicles. I've had great experiences, such as no charge for confirming my Civic CNG did not have a high pressure power steering hose leak when the crooks at Stevens Creek Honda said it did.

I went to check out this mechanic shop before I bring my car in, the owner seems nice and know what he is doing. Since I work not too far from shop, so it is easy for me to drop my car off before work and pick up after. My head light went out, so it is possible the light bulb or ballast went out. I checked youtube and I need to remove my bumper in order to get to the part, so I was lazy and decided to send my car to this shop and fix it. Checked the price and seems reasonable, the only expensive part is the Ballast because they order it at dealer. It's fine, I need to get this fix, so instead of ordering OEM part at amazon, I give a "OK" for them to order the part at dealer. Now the ugly parts come... #1, it should be couple hours of the work, they called me and said dealer mess up the part and they need a extra day, the bumper already being taken apart, they ask if it is ok to keep the car for one more day (don't most shop order the part and wait until the parts here first then take down part for replacement). Well it happens, so I think it is ok. Just need to take Uber home. #2, they called me later and tell me my breaks are pretty much worn out. Suggest me to change break pad. Sure, I think my breaks are about time to change anyway. After I pick up my car and start driving, I can hear squeaking noise like you breaks is completely out. So I took it back and the owner tested it. They fixed the breaks and I drive it for about a week, then the squeaking noise come back. At this point, I have no interest to go back and drop the car back to them to fix it anymore, I really think they have no idea what the hack they are doing. Plus I will have to leave my car for a day again, it's just too much. #3, I also need oil change, I don't think this will be a problem right? WRONG... about 4 months later, I need to change oil again, I know how to change oil in my garage, plus I have all the tools. Well I end up spend an hour trying to un-screw the oil pan nut. They make it so tight and the nut striped. I have to take it to another shop and un-screw the nut to change oil. The mechanic said whoever change the oil last just tighten it too much. #4, this is the best part of all... I was driving to Santa Cruz and hit a pretty deep pod hole on HWY17, everything seems fine at the moment. When I parked, I see my car is leaking coolant and we are not talking about little dripping either. So I get some coolant and top it up, slowly driving back home. Thanks god I barely make it without overheat the engine. I open the hook and get underneath the car, I noticed there is a wrench by the fan. I took it out and for sure it is not mine. At this point I am just speechless, so I order an OEM radiator and change it myself. When I take out the radiator, remove the fan, I find another small wrench between radiator and fan. Really... I can also see where the radiator damage. So now I know that when I hit the pod hole, both wrenched hit the fan and hit the radiator which cause the leak. (Updated 9/4, went in and talked to the owner and he is still pretty nicer and offer to fix my breaks again, but I turn it down. Just don t want to leave my car there. They also claim that it is not their tools which dropped between the radiator and the fan. It s fine, it happened already, no point to start a pointless argument. About the oil change nuts too tight, they said they used the right tool so they don t know why)In conclusion, they screw up all the simple stuff (Oil Change and Changing Break pad). The HID headlight still work, that's the only I star I give (I will give them no star if the HID headlight went out). Don't go there, maybe for smoke check, for sure I will not even let them do oil change.

brought a car to the owner and ask to replace oil only. He asked why not filter as well? Told him, that another service topped off synthetic oil with regular oil, the car started to run rough, so I wanted to flush oil and take a picture for used oil to see if there is any foam built up.He told me he does not take pictures, not with a mobile phone, not with anything. Suggested I move on (even though I indicated I really have a problem with car running rough after this oil top off).I think it is mechanic solidarity here, really, so I would not trust him to do anything else, his interests do not benefit his clients.

Fine place to get a smog check. They were professional and quick. I was considering getting a pre-check, but the mechanic suggested it wasn't necessary, and he was right. I saved time and money as a result of coming here.

My car had the Engine Light on when I came in. Instead of warning me, that the car is likely going to fail the SMOG test, and I better should have it fixed before the testing, they decided to proceed with the SMOG test anyway. A lesson learned. But this is not the great way to do business, folks.

I called them to ask a simple thing, when they are available to go for oil change. They were rude, not helpful at all.

Very expensive place to get a smog test. Slow to do it too. There are places near by that do it for $40 which is where I took my other car.
