I have been coming here for about 2 years and have had a fantastic experience each time. Rafi and his staff take the time to make sure I understand what is happening with my car when there is an issue, clearly outline the costs and what i actually need vs what is optional, and work quickly and efficiently. Earlier this week I thought I was due for general maintenance so I brought my car in. Upon arrival I talked to Rafi and he checked the records and found that I was good for another few thousand miles. He offered to do a quick check of my car to make sure everything was running smoothly and my oil levels were good. After he ran the check (about 2 hours) everything came back good and he did not charge me at all! I am so grateful to Rafi and his autoshop. I know I am in good hands every time I go there. I recommend this shop to everyone!

Spent $5000 (after i talked him down from $6700) here thinking "that's expensive, but at least I'll have my 100k mile car all fixed up and I'll have piece of mind." Thought to come here because it had good reviews and my usual mechanic was out of town for the month. When he came back he told me i had been grossly overcharged. The kicker? Now my car has more problems that when I first brought it here. Shady. Don't bring your car here.Edit*I knew he would IMMEDIATELY reply. 11 minutes later with the retort. Most businesses, when they get a negative review, they might reply with some version of "sry you had a negative experience" or "we continue to try to offer the best service, sry if we at all fell short" something like that. This guy goes on here to tell everyone they're lying. Stay away.

Save your time do not go here. Staff was extremely rude to me. I explained my issue in fullness and was met with a brute response of that s not what I asked you even though I answered the question saying I needed a single tire fixed or replaced. They didn t have the tire I wanted so I asked if they could put air in it and I d pay and they refused to help. This is well deserved one star for negligent behavior and shady business practice, turning me away for absolutely no reason. I was polite the whole way through and wish for no one to have to be treated like this.Service: Tires

The team has been servicing my Mini for a while now. They are attentive to details and above else, fair. An issue at Mini to fix would be ~2x the price. I appreciate the interactions and quality of service I ve had with Rafi and the team. Thank you for your continued care!

You know I appreciate Rafi big time. My girl has been a customer for years and I always teased her about it. I tried getting her to go to other shops that were recommend by my mechanic friends.Well they've been super nice and honest with her. She can go alone and they don't take advantage and over charge. They washed her car and filled the gas tank after a sensor replacement of her x3. That made me think this guy might be legit.My warranty and service plan expired without my knowledge. I went to BMW for my 2020 x6. $2100 for an oil change, and filter replacement. Apparently my car requires a special inspection. I normally go to dealers if the price is fair. But that was way too expensive. And they wouldn't honor their own coupon.Of course I went to Rafi. He explained what the dealer explained about the oil change and inspection. His price WITH the filters: $409 (with genuine bmw parts). Rafi is bmw certified tech. He uses their software and is pretty legit. He uses the computer and seems fairly techy.Then i noticed he also fixes hybrids. My moms car (prius) has been in my backyard two months because all the lights on dashboard would come on (skid control, abs, emergency parking) and the braking was stiff.This problem arose two days after I had it at another tech who fixed another problem where the hazard lights wouldn't shut off. That tech told me that a squirrel chewed up the wires. I found that so far fetched and told Rafi, Who instead of bashing the other tech, actually affirmed it as possible. And opened my hood and showed me a bunch of twigs bunched in the corners of the engine bay: evidence of nesting. I was impressed. Left the car. They diagnosed it. It needed a new abs system. Initially they quoted $2k. They were able to drop $800 off after he called toyota and verified some stuff. Bam. Fixed.I've been driving the car around for a week. Got it smogged. Everything seems fine.Thats two cars of mine in one month. I'm incredibly happy about it. My moms happy. And this dude has totally earned my business.

Again fixed my car issues professionally. Found out catalytic converter issue, got a good deal for me, replaced the battery under warranty. Over all great experience. I keep going back even though I moved further away.

The team of technicians here are absolutely incredible. I have referred each and everyone of my friends and family and bring all of my cars here.I ve done everything with these guys. Smog, engine problems, transmission stuff etc. never had a problem or complaint.Seriously, I used to go to the dealer pay way over price for the same service. It s true not all mechanics are the same. Rafi and Kevin thoroughly check my car always, letting me know what needs fixing now and what s left for Next service.Rafi helps me sleep at night knowing my car won t stop in the middle of the highway I ve dealt with too many bad mechanics and now I know when you find the right one pay the right price you get the best service and now I never have a problem.Highly trust these guys!!

Brilliant, easy to schedule service, excellent customer care. Just two visits a year (due to good service!) and they still remember me by name and face, even without an appointment. I go to them for everything.

One of the worse and the rudest mechanic I've ever encounter. The man is a crook. He tells one thing and end up charging you a different price. Whatever you do don't go to him for CA inspection he tells it will pass and you leave the car for 2 hrs and then he tells you it fail and charges you $200 and keeps hovering over you i don't know maybe insinuating a kickback. Their team does an incredible with BMWs. There is no one else in LA that I will bring my car besides Rafi's Autotech. They are trustworthy and quickly identify the root of the issue. Rafi's has fair pricing and they don't jerk you around. Been going to Rafi for about 10years. He s always been kind and helpful. He checks to make sure the vehicle wont fail the smog check before running the actual test. As a female, I ve run into a lot of mechanics that try to sell unnecessary services and never once felt like he was disrespectful or condescending. I always forget that my check engine light is on (glow plugs in a diesel not a big deal in warm weather) and he s had to remind me that I d fail smog inspection. I usually just turn the light off and return as soon a the drive cycle is completed. Unfortunately after the vehicle had been sitting for a few years during covid, there were some repairs that needed to be done this time. Sensors, controllers, egr valve. I said I d fix it at home and bring it back and he was super gracious about it - I ve had plenty of other mechanics act like there was no way a dumb girl could do her own repairs. Returned a few days later and passed with no problems. I really appreciate Rafi - if there was ever a repair I couldn t handle or didn t have the desire to take care of myself, I d absolutely trust him to take care of it.For the women out there who worry about dishonest/disrespectful mechanics, Raif s a good one.Service: Auto emissions testing

Better prices and much more convenient location than Keyes Audi in Van Nuys, considering I live in MDR and work in Palms. My wife and I have been taking our Audis there for regular maintenance and random issues on our 2013 and 2015 Q5's.They charge about $150 for a multi-point inspection. I have been offered this service at the dealership for free, but I'm very limited on time with my work schedule, which is the main reason why I choose Raffi--for their convenient location.In the past few years, I have gone there for a left front axle replacement, left HID light replacement, and regular maintenance such as synthetic oil changes, tire rotation, wheel alignment, and multi-point inspection.Raffi himself has been there every time I have gone there to service my vehicle. He's a nice, honest small business owner, and I'd rather give him my business than take it to the dealership. It would be nice if they could wash and vacuum the vehicles, but their little shop just doesn't have the space to add that to their operation.I recommend scheduling an appointment in advance, taking your vehicle in the morning, and dropping it off if it's a longer service. Get a price estimate in advance too.

I had been going her for years to get work done. I used to leave feeling like I was in good hands. Good customer service, friendly, didn't feel like they were taking advantage.Fast forward five years, and I've just left feeling like I've been in a wreck. Customer service is still nice but I have now left feeling like a fool twice. But no more. I used to go because they're Audi certified. A lot of good that does when they refuse to take accountability for their shoddy work.My car was "fixed" had to come back they claimed it was another leak, despite them doing a "complimentary inspection" with an oil change. The leak from my OIL PAN wasn't caught until I brought it again. They said I couldn't drive it anywhere so I had to agree to do the repairs there. They were two days late and they offered a "large discount" that didn't even amount to taxes.Go somewhere else or get a second opinion. If you go somewhere else, make sure it's not Pep Boys. Beware, potential victims! The Bureau of Automotive Repair's investigation in September 2022 was just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the deceitful abyss that is Rafi Autotech. Today, July 21st, 2023, justice was finally served, as I emerged victorious in court against these repugnant scam artists. It is with a heavy heart and an overwhelming sense of disgust that I must recount my harrowing experience with this den of thieves, but it is my duty to warn others lest they too fall prey to Rafi Autotech's malevolent web. BAR did not close the case with no evidence as they claim in their response, the investigation findings were subpoenaed by the court and the case # is 23BHSC00111.My BMW 550 became the unfortunate victim of Rafi Autotech's wicked schemes when I sought their assistance for an oil leak. Little did I know that this decision would lead me down a nightmarish path of deception, overcharging, and blatant lies. They manipulated their labor hours to squeeze every last penny from my pocket, charging me nearly double for their dubious services.But that was just the beginning of the horror show orchestrated by Rafi Autotech. The audacity with which they operate knows no bounds, as they pretended to replace parts that never received a single touch from their greasy hands. Shockingly, I discovered this betrayal when my car resumed its oil leaking dance immediately after their alleged "repairs."I naively believed that their warranty guarantee would save me from this nightmare, but oh, how wrong I was! Instead of admitting their gross incompetence, Rafi Autotech stooped to even lower depths, blaming a completely different part for the ongoing issue. It was this deceitful act that forced me to seek a second opinion from AutoMed Euro, and here the sinister truth was unveiled.The esteemed AutoMed Euro, in stark contrast to Rafi Autotech's treachery, confirmed that the leak had nothing to do with the oil pan gasket, as Rafi Autotech falsely insisted. No, the true culprits were the rear main seal and engine cover, parts that Rafi Autotech had purportedly replaced, yet they were as untouched as the day my car rolled into their den of deception.My trust in Rafi Autotech has been shattered beyond repair. The irrevocable damage they've caused extends far beyond my beloved BMW 550; it has penetrated my faith in humanity. To think that such a malevolent entity can exist under the guise of an automotive repair shop is beyond comprehension.Friends, strangers, anyone within earshot, heed my warning: steer clear of Rafi Autotech at all costs. They will lie, cheat, and manipulate to further their unethical agenda. My hard-fought victory in court has confirmed what I suspected all along: Rafi Autotech is an abomination in the automotive industry. Excellent auto mechanic services and smog check. If you have a BMW or Mercedes Benz, newer or late model, do not hesitate to bring your car in. They do very good work at reasonable costs. I would STRONGLY advise against using this mechanic. Unprofessional, incompetent, and incredibly money hungry without any desire to offer proper customer service. I'm a car enthusiast and have known a lot of mechanics, but I'm not sure I've ever had a worse experience dealing with a mechanic in my entire life. They gave me an estimate to fix my door lock actuator on my BMW 640i, then by the time they completed the work my bill was more than 3X what was originally quoted. Then in the process they damaged other things inside my car including my garage door transponder, and despite my efforts to call and at least have a conversation about it, all I got was runaround. When I finally connected with the owner, Rafi, he actually hung up the phone on me and said "he has to take another call." The owner and staff are incredibly unprofessional! I would STRONGLY advise against using this mechanic if you care about your car or have any desire to get proper customer service.Service: Electrical

Rafi is the best there is in the business. Always fair and trustworthy. I only trust my 335i with him! All his mechanics are very knowledgeable -- especially Herbert! I cannot recommend him enough. I've already shared him with several of my friends as he's really one of the few top quality garages that are out there. Thanks Rafi for all your help -- keep it up!

I went in for a smog certification. Not only were they not able to figure out why my car would not pass smog, they installed unnecessary parts on my car without approval first and asked me to pay for installation after the fact. I asked for a refund or discount on parts I did not approve, and they were unwilling to do anything. I feel like I flushed my $700 dollars down the drain.Service: Smog certification

The phrase "honest mechanic" is not an oxymoron at Rafi Autotech. Rafi kindly gave me an email quote without having to bring it in for inspection which was a huge help because I don't have a lot of time during their business hours. He told me that some of the services previous shops has quoted me were unnecessary and that my front mounts weren't actually leaking at this time. He didn't upcharge me or just do the services without a real inspection and it saved me hundreds of dollars and the mental energy & stress of getting my car repaired. Ilan in the office is also very helpful. I will be coming back if I need any more repair work done. Brake pads were replaced within 24 hours.Service: Brakes

I have a 2016 Mini Cooper Convertible and I have been going to this place a few times. It s the only place that I trust to fix my car! The people here are so nice, they make you feel comfortable that the car is going to be fine and they re not trying to get extra money out of you for something that the car doesn t need. Best place to get your Mini serviced!!! Wouldnt feel comfortable driving my Mini for long ranges daily if this place doesn t exist!Services: Brakes, Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement, Oil change

I don't typically write negative reviews but I felt compelled to here. I went in for a typical oil change and had made a few other specific request items to be done as well. When I returned and the vehicle was ready I found that I was charged almost double what I usually pay at the BMW dealership and that none of my requests had been taken care of. I am giving 2 stars only because they completed the oil change as requested other than that it was a 1 star experience. Wouldn't recommend.

Will go again / Price = Average / Service = Above average / Management = Above average / Cleanliness = AverageThis is a review only after 1 service @ Rafi's Autotech and can change dependent on future visits. I had a last minute CEL (check engine light) on my Audi A4 around the week after Christmas and paid $1K+ to fix an O2 sensor and PCV valve which seems to be a fair price around the MDR area. As it was the holidays, practically all the repair shops around the area were closed. Thankfully, Rafi's Autotech was open! I called last minute and Rafi was able to get me in right away. Although the sensors are not too big of an issue, it can definitely mess with the electronics for newer cars, especially European.It took about 2-3 hrs. to diagnose the car and the parts came in around 1-2+ hrs. from there but the supplier provided the incorrect parts, not Rafi's fault if that is the case. Therefore, I left the car for them to get the correct part and fix it the next morning which took about an hr. from when they opened. He uses OEM part as well! Overall, I was highly satisfied with the timing, promptness, and fix. Looking forward to visiting when I need a repair for my Audi.

We had an urgent event to go to but the sliding door of the van would not close. We took the van to the shop hoping to get it fixed soon enough so we could still make to the event. Folks at the shop were quick and knowledgeable at diagnosing the problem and fixing it for us. The staff were friendly and considerate. We are very happy with their service!

The service at this place is OUTSTANDING! This is my new go-to car repair. I called Rafi because my 328i didn't pass a smog check and I was on a time crunch to get plates by a certain date and needed a repair asap. He had me come in the very next morning and generously offered to keep my car there while I was out of town for the long thxgiving weekend (free of charge!). When I got back they had already done the smog check for me (at a lower rate than at my other place I might add!) and provided me with the paperwork for the DMV! I cannot stress how accommodating the people who work here are and how convenient they make the whole process! Rafi was extremely communicative, both emailing me and calling me after they had inspected my car and gave me advice on the best deals. He also informed me there was a recall on a part on my car and provided me with all of the paperwork necessary to get the repair fee refunded! I will be trusting Rafi with all my car repair needs from now on and recommend you do too!

They are THE best in the business. Very polite, professional and thorough when checking my car. Today and I had an issue with my gas tank and called and they helped me out quickly, no issue or hassle. I would recommend them to anyone. I truly enjoy giving Rafi and his team my business. Very refreshing.

I ve worked with a lot of different mechanics over the years and I have to say that my experience at Rafi Autotech is among the best. Their professionalism, customer service, and quality of work are unparalleled. I highly recommend you give them a chance. My first visit with my BMW which needed Smog repair due to failed the test initially at another smog shop which are not BMW specialist and the shop referred me to Rafi Automotive who is specialist with all BMW Diagnostic, Service and repair.The shop did call me with fair estimate which I agree to and all the documentation report was send to my e-mail after few hours the car was ready passed the smog test and I got free car wash and free shuttle. I am very pleased and happy to find this BMW place who was honest,prompt with quality. Thanks and I will be back soon for my regular service.
