Went to Pep Boys for the first time after getting a flat tire and needing it replaced ASAP. After calling around and finding that none of the smaller businesses I usually would go to were able to help me so last minute, I decided to give my nearby Pep Boys location a chance, seeing that it was easy to make an appointment online, and that they had availability that same morning miraculously.All I can say is that I'm shocked at how dismissive I've been over the years of going here. I arrived early and was still seen right away. I believe the person who helped me was Charles and he was amazing - so kind and informative. I went in very skeptical and worried that services/products would get pushed on me and instead was met with helpful suggestions and even some things that were off with my car that went overlooked in the past.I felt heard and respected. And after getting real with Charles about my old car (it's almost 25 years old and always has something going on with it), we came to a great solution in getting my tire replaced as well as advice for future services to bring the car back in, but without any pressure on his part.I feel like I'm one of those folks that reads Google reviews and always have prided myself at wanting to support small businesses too, but this Pep Boys location and the folks that worked there really touched me. You could tell they really cared, and their professionalism was so refreshing especially with something I'm very unfamiliar with like car stuff.Really appreciate y'all. Thanks so much.

Great experience from Pep Boys Culver City! I can't recommend them enough. The staff is extremely attentive, friendly, and go above and beyond to provide A+ service.I've stopped by several times due to low tire pressure, and they were always quick to help. Then one of the mechanics noticed I had a nail in my tire, and they were able to squeeze me in and fix it the same day!

Amazing amazing experience here today with Jordan. Came here to get a new battery as my car kept dying. They did tests and gave me the options on battery type based on my car. They were incredibly communicative, explained everything to me in detail and never once did I feel like I was being misled. I felt respected, heard and taken care of from the first step in there. Extremely pleased with Jordan s professionalism and commitment to customer service. Thank you! I will definitely be back

Had such a seamless customer experience. Very Fair pricing... Got 4 new tires installed and aligned and a gas line flush. For half the price quoted at my dealership.Didn't feel like I was getting fleeced, so didn't feel the need to shop around any further. Cindy was super helpful and patient with my questions. Juan made sure he always knew the status of the work being done, in addition to getting the alerts on my phone and reports to my email.Looks like I found my new neighborhood mechanics.First time there and not the last!

Came to pep boy for an oil change and to get some tires. Jordan was not only helpful but very knowledgeable of what needed to be done on my vehicle. We went thorough my options and decided what was best for my car. Quick and easy service and great customer service. Thank you pep boys!!

I cannot say enough good things about this location. Huge should out to Jordan for taking such great care of my car! Juan was very helpful as well. The customer service delivered was above and beyond. The location was clean, well organized and busy. You could tell that the employees were there to serve not just taking their sweet time to get things done like other auto shops.I really appreciated that. Fair priced and I never felt like they were trying to over charge me or add anything I didn t need. I was updated all the way before anything was done to my car and they maintained transparency.I ll be back!

I was having car troubles and Cindy at the front desk was really nice and found someone to work on my car really quick. The guy who helped me out Mr. Perez was very honest and he got my car fixed really quick, they have very good customer service here. I would definitely come here again! P.S I think that Mr. Perez deserves a raise!

EPIC FAIL!I BROUGHT MY CAR IN TI PEP BOYS IN CULVER CITY FOR AN OIL CHANGE WITH AN APPOINTMENT TODAY AT 3;30When I checked the lady looked up my car and told me they did not have the oil filter in stock. I suggested I rbing it back tomorrow but she said they can get the part in an hour and I ll be done by 5:00 PM.I come back at 5:00. Car is not ready. I check in at 5:30. Car is not ready. I check in at 6:00. Not Ready. Finally at 6:15 they inform me that they had a new guy working on my car and he accidentally emptied the TRANSMISSION FLUID instead of the OIL!!!Luckily he did not pour oil into the transmission fluid.Car won t be ready until tomorrow?????How can someone not know how to do an oil change? I am never coming back again (once I get my car back).

I ve had a rough patch in the last couple months with car trouble piling up. My car has been good to me but I guess everything happened all at once. After 4 weeks at the dealership for an ignition cylinder replacement, my car dies for the first time. Unsure if it s the alternator or the battery, I asked around and was referred to PepBoys for a quick fix. Sooo glad I went. My appointment was at 5pm, I arrived about 6 minutes early and was finished and paying by 5:01pm. Wicked fast car service from Danny (I hope I got his name right!) and nothing but pleasant customer service from Cindy. Thank you both so much for making this rough patch a little easier for me.

Scheduled an online tire rotation today for 4:30pm. The EDC sweatshirt black rimmed glasses wearing loser at the desk gave me lip when I checked in and pretended to be emphatically shocked and in his very annoyed voice said you scheduled a tire rotation online???? He then was like uhhh I just had two other 4:30s check in and I can get to it but it won t be until like 6:30-7. Ok so like what s the point of the online appointment if you won t even honor it? I get tire rotations are free but like 1) if you don t want to do them, don t freaking offer it as a service on the website and 2) it takes like all of 5 minutes to rotate tires. He knows this and just wants me to leave since all I want is the free tire rotation, and he knows obviously I am not going to wait 2.5 hours for something that takes 5 minutes and I already made an appointment for. Once again, if you are going to be like this and just don't want to offer them, then don't offer them at all first place!!!Bunch of bums. Some of the rudest customer service I ve ever seen from the guy at the desk. He absolutely 100% should be fired. Never use these people for anything if they can t even get a tire rotation appointment right

Damaged two aluminum wheels today that had a slow but continuous leak. Arrived at Pep Boys at 8am sharp (when they open) and they were unable to fix the damage on their own so they typically outsource help for the damage I had. I am new to the state and didn t have any other way to get around so they gave me the contact for their personal resource who could fix my tire within hours. This was incredibly generous and Charles even offered to put air in my tires so I could make it to the wheel repair shop safely. Thank you Pep Boys Culver City, I know you weren t able to help me directly but you pointed me in the right direction when you couldn t. I will definitely be coming back.

Cindy was very helpful with getting me the parts I needed for my car had a great attitude! Mr Perez was a very great mechanic and he was very quick with getting all the work done he made sure everything was running well before I left the shop. I would recommend this place to friends.

I needed a written estimate for diagnosis, tuneup, and fuel ejection replacement. I had to tell the service repair person several times the same exact repair details. I still think they didn't understand. First and last time I'm coming here for anything.

I needed 4 new tires and the associate I spoke to advised me to keep my appointment and they would get the 1 tire from another shop. Great! I get there at my appointment time, hand over my keys, and they tell me its going to be 45 mins before they can get to my car - what's the point of making an appointment? Ok - should I wait or go home? Stay, your car will be done shortly once they get to it. Shortly ended up being 3.5 hours! At 1.5 hrs. in, I get a text message from their app - 'expected delivery: 4pm.' I ask for confirmation - no, no, your car will be done waaay before that. I go sit down. At some point, Jordan tries to small talk with me so he can tell me tires are done BUT they still need to align the car. Meaning: a car is getting aligned now (which takes 30mins, according to him) and another 30 to align mine. I have waiting this long...so I wait. Time to pay, I advised Jordan that transparency is best when working in customer service. Why not just tell me - I don't know but we will call you. Humberto (the real hero in this review) is super busy. Fine. I would of taken that over wasting 3.5 hrs. watching 3-4 guys at the register gossiping rather than working OR providing true time commitments. Ohh the best part- on the summary of work the car is promised by 4pm. So why not just TELL ME.

Stopped by for a battery change and service advisors Juan and Cindy were very patient and helpful. They answered all the questions i had and made the process quick and easy. Very friendly and polite staff. Will definitely come back for future service.

I own a 1991 Isuzu, very rare. It needed a part which was impossible to find. After a few hours of fruitless searching, Charles and his Culver City crew, had the genius idea of modifying a Honda part, which worked. Great team!

I trust the mechanics at Pep Boys.They are efficient, thorough and in the past, I have never had to wait long. Lately, however their time estimates and wait times are off. 30 minutes turned into an hour. So plan on longer wait times. Still, they are fair and treat me as an individual and valued customer. Pep Boys Culver City is my go to.

Thank you for taking care of my burnt out headlamp yesterday, despite it being a Sunday. Pep Boys was busy (the Santa Monica store was so packed, they couldn't even discuss my issue on sthe phone), and I so appreciate the great care given me by Jordan. Charles was also very helpful. I will keep Pep Boys in mind for my auto needs!

Decent service overall for a standard oil change. Store has changed since last visit. New separate entrance to the service department. Full diagnosis was not done or explained after the visit and still had warning lights on my dash.

I only came here because I needed work on my axle ASAP. Corporate does NOT mean it s better quality of work. The mechanic refused work because of a slight tight fit on lift spacers (the lift kit instructions say to knock it flush with a rubber mallet) Then I waited 2 hours while we argued about whether or not I had ordered the proper OEM axle because it was shorter than the part that was being replaced. Turns out the mechanic couldn t tell that the old axle was broken and stretched out about 2 longer than it should ve been. I d have done the work myself if I had a lift available. Freakin donuts.

Went to get my tire rotated and balanced. Came back with one tire with low PSI and another one low where I had to go to gas station to fill it the tire back up again within 5 min of picking up the car. Now I question if they even did the tire balancing as I paid for.

Recently I anted to change out my pilot for new wheels which I hade laying around. New rims and tires.Pep boys said no problem. I received a phone call from them and they asked would you like to hood the wheels to the tire pressure sensor ? I said yes.The light went on after pick up to say low air pressure so trying to put air in from the gas station didn t work.I took it back to Pep Boys and they said the sensors didn t work.So they charged me for something that clearly didn t work and now want to charge me over $600. For the new 4 sensors.Lesson learned l, never using Pep Boys again.To bad Pep boys you just lost not only me but the rest of my family with a total of 4 cars.

I have been to many Pep Boys in the past, and always received poor service or always had some kind of issue.The experience at this Pep Boys (Culver City), was priority for the customer...The way it should be.A great Experience.
