John and his son Dave are honest car guys who really know their stuff. My check engine light came on, and the first mechanic I went to just turned the light off and told me to come back if it turned back on. The guys at Frost told me exactly what was wrong with the engine, gave me all my options, and advice on how to proceed. My 2002 Camry has been working perfectly ever since. If you have a car issue, go to Frost.

Only been there once to install a catshield on my prius. The service was amazing, fast and professional. The service charge was fair. I would recommend it.

I ve used Dave for years now. Every time I have to go elsewhere I m reminded of how great a business this is and how genuinely concerned Dave is with both the quality of his work and considerations of cost. He s saved me lots of money over the years and has always steered me in the right direction. Be sure to call and set up an appointment as he is understandably busy all the time!

When the 2007 Prius I was borrowing decided to throw the Red Triangle of Death, I gave Frost Automotive a call for a diagnosis. Dave offered to take a look same day. Apparently, the hybrid battery is on its way out. Dave explained how it works and options for replacement that seemed reasonable. While I passed this along to the car's owner to ultimately decide, if it were up to me, I would have had Frost do the work. In addition to other good reviews, he demonstrates expertise and runs a small but very well kept garage.

Wonderful service from a family owned and run business. Small shop kept this way intentionally to ensure high quality service. Specialization in hybrids. My friend recommended this automotive place to me after I had some really bad experiences with other automotive places taking advantage of me and quoting me more than what my car actually needed. Dave was excellent! He did exactly what I asked, he was reasonable, quick, and fixed my car. I absolutely will be returning! My friend said he is the best mechanic he has ever had and I hope after multiple visits I can say the same!

Dave Frost is a hero. He has saved me at least a thousand dollars over the years. He is polite, punctual, and even though he gets quite busy, the work he does is always done quickly and for dirt cheap. He doesn't BS you into purchasing unnecessary fixes, and you know you can trust him because no one will fix your car for cheaper than Dave.

My co-worker recommended this place to me. I took my car in for a regular scheduled service. I called a day ahead for an appointment and was in and out pretty quick. I work nearby, so I did not stress over pick up time, but it was still pretty fast. Easy in, easy out, and the price was exactly as quoted. No hidden fees or "gotchas".

Incredibly helpful, kind, trustworthy and informative. I called because I was interested in purchasing a used car and wanted to bring it in for an inspection/appraisal. They spoke to me for 30 minutes and gave thorough advice for my car search and purchasing process. Would recommend them to anyone!

This is the place. If you're tired of crooks, incompetents, and dealers who just treat you like a jerk, come here. I've used Dave for maybe 20 years and he's not only good, he's honest, and he won't fix something that doesn't need fixing. He'll also find the obscure thing nobody else has found. Yes, come here.

I have been taking my cars to Dave since 2010. It's a small, family run shop, with Dave and his son, Alex, working on cars while his wife, Anna, helps with the administrative stuff (although I've seen her helping out by holding a flashlight). His low overhead allows him to keep costs down. Dave is straight & honest, suggesting the different options you have. Dave has a lot of experience with Prius' (he drives one himself), so there's no need to take your Prius to a dealer if you're having problems with it. You'll find yourself saving a lot of money.There's no waiting area, so I always walk over to the Starbucks two blocks to the west to wait. It's a small shop with just two lifts, so you must call & make an appointment, because he's very popular. The shop is a little hard to find. It's just west of the intersection of Jefferson Ave & Inglewood Blvd. If you are heading west on Jefferson, once you cross Inglewood, turn right down the alley and the entrance to the shop will be on the left (you'll have a better idea of what I mean if you switch to street view on Google maps).
