Ricky at Excel Motors was recommended to me by my former mechanic when he retired and I m really glad I followed his recommendation. I ve taken my car there twice and received excellent service both times. The second time was for an engine repair that turned out to be much less expensive than I had feared. He had me back on the road in just a few days running as good as new. I couldn t be happier with how it turned out and would enthusiastically recommend Ricky to anyone looking for a reliable mechanic.

Excel Auto Motors is the final stop for all of your mechanical/body work needs. I have been going to them for 5+ years for minor engine trouble and oil changes but just recently I had a minor accident and needed body work. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. If you want quality service at a reasonable price, Excel Auto Motors (Ricky & Alberto) is the place! P.S. All work was completed in less than a month!Service: Auto body & trim repair

The whole team here is so welcoming and kind. It genuinely felt like talking to car doctors. They really took the time to explain everything they noticed about my car so that I could make informed decisions and recommended what needed immediate repair vs what could wait. They were also really clear and upfront with me about pricing. I just moved from out of state and was nervous to find a shop I trusted. I came to Excel on the recommendation of a friend and the overwhelmingly positive reviews they have online and I was not disappointed. These are honest folk. They even followed up with me after to be sure everything was running smoothly. I ll definitely be back.

I really like the guys at Excel. Ricky, Alberto and Mayron have taken great care of my car. They're smart and easy to talk to. Reasonable pricing. Not pushy. I never feel like they're trying to sell me anything. Just regular guys who are really good at what they do. I'm so happy I can trust them to tell me what's up and fix it! Over the years Albert, Ricky and his crew have taken exceptional care of any issues Ive had w my Audi. They re communicative and most importantly honest. typically a word that s not common with body shops.So far I ve had major repair from an accident to my bumper, brake pad replacements, oil leaks and minor cosmetic work done and each time I ve been beyond satisfied w their work. Albert, Ricky, and everyone over there helped me out with a same day battery swap and engine inspection. They were quick, kind, and fair on the price. They even let me know about a few other problems but gave an honest timeframe and price on how and when they should be done. My family and I have been going to Excel for about 2 years now and we have been so pleased with their services. Ricky is a very genuine, patient, and honest mechanic and his team is very helpful. Recently, I ve been having trouble with my tire sensor and they have been patiently looking for different replacements and helping me each time the sensor was off. I m thankful that I can count on a honest and genuine auto shop. Definitely recommended! Also, they do special services on old cars and luxury vehicles that I always see and it s very cool.

RECOMMENDED!! Went above and beyond duties to a total stranger. great service and job well done. I came in from a Groupon oil change. I am new to LA, so what luck it was to find great mechanics. I just bought a vintage Mercedes with oil leaks. Was quoted over $3K to fix from another shop in San Diego. Excel fixed the main problems for much less. Ricky is the owner and Alberto manages the office portion- both are professional and friendly. They were frank with which problems were urgent and which could wait. Price quotes and labor costs are very reasonable

I cannot begin to thank Ricky, Berto, and their team enough for all of the work and support they have given me over the years with my cars! As someone that doesn't know cars very well, it was a huge relief to find mechanics that I trust.I first found Excel Auto Motors when I was looking for a second opinion. Ricky and his team showed me how the other place was trying to scam me for double the cost. When I had an emergency flat tire on my way to work, I called them and they repaired it within 10 min. When I was in a collision, they gave me their opinion on the value of the damage and made reparations at a fraction of the cost. When I was struggling to keep up with the repair costs on my old vehicle, they advised me on what to prioritize fixing, what could be delayed, and alternative economical solutions. And finally, when I was preparing for my cross country drive, they fixed up my car, texted to check in on my long journey, and even offered to continue being a second opinion after I moved away!I will truly miss Excel Auto Motors. Ricky is an excellent and honest mechanic. My whole family takes our cars there when we have any issues. He's even lent me his own car when I needed to leave mine with him so I could get back to work - on multiple occasions! Highly recommended.

I ve been taking my car to this shop for almost a year to do routine check ups. They are very reasonable and trustworthy. Fair prices and very quick. I ve also recommended this shop to a few family members and friends and they ve told me they all had great experiences. Very friendly mechanics and owner. I was hesitant on finding an honest mechanic shop when I first got my car, and I m so glad I found this shop. All positive feedback on my end. Definitely recommend this shop to everyone.

I couldn't happier with these guys. I came for an oil change, much cheaper than everything else local. I also had an issue with my windshield wiper fluid tank leaking out for some unknown reason so I asked if they would check it when underneath. They found the issue (cra ked tube I think) and fixed it for me... For free. This is a situation where they could have told me anything and gotten me to pay whatever, but didn't. Hard to find a good service place that you can trust but now I know you can trust Excel. Very happy to find them!

Professional, friendly, and fast! Highly recommend this shop, it s hard to find a mechanic you ll stick with in LA, especially as a woman with limited car knowledge, but I ll certainly return next time my car needs work done. I went to get an oil change here today. The service was pretty quick (35 minutes) and best of all, when I got back there was no hard sells for expensive services. They offered me a few items that I might need coming up but didn't try to sell me anything unnecessary. A friend of mine referred Excel, as I needed some repairs & was in search of a trustworthy shop that wasn't overpriced. Well I found just what I was looking for. I was well taken care of...all repairs done reasonably & quickly. Great guys who explained & showed me everything. I will always go back to them, and I already have & you should too!
