I cannot rave about Ed Little enough. They are my go-to mechanic for everything. Normally trustworthy and auto shop don't go together. Ed Little is an exception. Here is the latest example: Through a fundraising auction, I got a 3-pack oil change from a local car dealer. Monday I got the oil change, and came out of the dealer with a list of about 10 items adding to at least $3000 that they said I needed done. I took my car and the list to Ed Little this morning at 7:20 AM. I was out of Ed Little at 8:50 AM with for a total cost of $90.03. My car didn't even need most of the services on the list, and Ed Little's costing for what it did need was so reasonable.Ed Little Auto Service is a gem.

I've repaired my car at this place 3 times (so far, for 3 different reasons). Fair prices. Satisfied result. I was stopping by a few times just for a quick look on some car issues. The place is quite popular. So, I'd usually make a phone call, explain my car's issue and schedule time to drop off my car. The price is always explained before the work is started, no "secret charges".Just don't bring your eggs to the chef and and don't ask him to cook it for you the way you like it, if you know what I mean.

This is somewhat redundant from other reviews but Ill add my two cents worth. Great shop, expert mechanics and only suggest repairs that are necessary. I'm 75 and have been to a few auto repair shops in my life.

These guys are great. I had gotten my brakes and rotors replaced. They were upfront and took extra time to make sure the new brakes are bedded correctly before letting me take the car. Will definitely come back.

As the other glowing reviews suggest, this place provides exceptional customer service! The dealer recommended a checklist of items to replace after an inspection that could easily total 1000's of dollars. When I took my car to Ed Little for a second opinion, they confirmed I didn't need any of the services that were recommended. They even found that the oil cap was left open and they didn't even charge me for a dime for their time!

Tale as old as time: my dad took my car to an auto shop at a Nissan dealership, and the result: You have to replace $1000 worth of stuff now, and $3000 worth of stuff in the near future . Of course, I said Hold my coffee, I want a second opinion , and took my car to Ed Little (my first time) and asked for oil change, tire rotation, and full inspection. They might have the record for the fastest turn around for an auto shop repair for me. I barely had time to get coffee and muffin at my favorite Philz coffee downtown Culver City before I got a call from them to pick up the car! And the oil change/tire rotation only cost me only $48!! And they assured me my car was fine otherwise. Lesson here, as I ve learned several times in the past, do the research to find an auto shop you can trust. I highly recommend Ed Little.P.S. I called ahead to schedule for my appointment, which I think helped. Showing up early in the morning at 7am when it wasn t busy also helped.

I just took my Subaru here for work on the AC, an oil change, and a tire rotation, and I am thoroughly impressed. I'll be taking my car here from now on.All of a sudden my car stopped blowing air as cold, but it would get colder as the engine revved. They immediately diagnosed that it might be freon, walked me through the process, costs, communicated clearly, and fixed the issue. When I picked up my car I noticed that they also fixed the vent that had been broken for years. He didn't even mention that to me, let alone charge me. They put the time in to go the extra mile and didn't even mention it!Prices are reasonable and service is fantastic.

Thoro, knowledgeable, caring. Ed Little got my car ready for a Road Trip. We didn't have any problems on the Trip from So. Cal into Oregon...and fin a lly back. We traveled a LOT on various terrains--in rural areas (incl. some dirt roads) the majestic Redwoods, surface streets, and types of highways / freeways.Very fairly- priced.I met a man at this auto shop who said he'd been coming here for 40 yrs., happily. I figured that was a good recommendation!! (A friend also recommended Ed Little's.)Glad to have found this place!

Excellent service! I haven t been there in a while (got a new car with dealer warranty in 2016), but they still honored their warranty for my former vehicle for the new owner of it after I sold it to them. These guys are absolutely fantastic! I will be there shortly for my new (2016) vehicle. These guys really are great!

First time getting work done here but have been here for a check up before. At the time they referred me to another shop, Westcoast Tires, who could do what my car needed and that place is just as awesome with such great people. At Ed's the service was quick, thorough and they were honest which was the most important to me. Other shops have told me I needed new brakes and new fluids but here he said they were all great. Also there was a mix up with the windshield wipers but Bob took care of it. Great people here!Service: Oil change

Needed my catalytic converter cover installed and couldn t find any auto shop available to do it before my last minute trip. Was anxious to find a place to do it the same day. Called Ed Little Auto shop around the corner and they said they would squeeze it in and be done with it in 45/1hr or so. Super friendly and helpful staff and the price they charged didn t seem like a rip off compared to other places around. The older gentlemen assuming his name is Bob perhaps the owner is very nice and seem like an honest. Can t find alot of those around here. Will be recommending them to family and friends.

Fair, honest and always friendly. I ve been bringing my vehicle to these guys for a decade, and they ve kept it running without bleeding my bank account dry. I ve recommended them to friends and family, and all have had equally good experiences. The team is always very informative, never pushy, and will guide you to the best choices to protect your investment. Truly, a shop with integrity.

Bob and his crew are truly genuine people who care about honesty when it comes to car maintenance. Owning a car obviously comes with the cost of maintaining it, but finding an honest mechanic is quite hard to come by. Bob and his crew are the people you can trust.I found Ed Little Auto Service after reading through some bad yelp review on Culver City Toyota. I had taken my car into Culver City Toyota for an oil change and came back with a list of problems that appeared all at once. I had recently changed the passenger air cabin filter myself and sure enough, it came off as something that needed to be replaced immediately in addition to far more expensive items such as replacing the ball joints ($800+) dollars. I called Bob and even though he was booked till the next week, he said he would still do a quick inspection if I drove by and go line by line off the list provided by Toyota and tell me if the "issues" were actually really issues. Turns out, I didn't have a ball joint issue and everything seemed fine. I had changed the spark plugs myself the day prior which might have been the only thing that really needed to be replaced (car is at 130k miles). They even taught me how to check for certain things like how to check the braking fluid. While I wanted to pay them for their time and the inspection, they didn't even accept any money. Ed Little Auto Service is a gem of a shop and so are the people running it. I don't write all too many reviews but this place is worth telling people about!

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with an auto shop. As a young female I often feel manipulated and lied to when it comes to getting my car fixed. Ed was completely honest with me and gave me sound advice. He could have charged me big bucks, but instead was honest with me about what was worth fixing with my cars high mileage. I would recommend him to everyone, but especially females who need an honest assessment of their vehicle. This is how business should be done, and I will definitely be returning next time my car needs anything.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Came in to have AC drain unclogged, for which Bob had given me an estimate of "around $20 or so." Main competitor in Culver City quoted "At least $140" for the same service. This turned out to be a very involved job as the drain was very difficult to locate. Took the team over 30 minutes and they had to remove various hoses etc. to access and service it. When it came time to pay, I assumed it would be more than the $20 quote since it was so much more involved. Instead, Bob just shook my hand and said "This one is on me." What? No charge at all? Who DOES that in this day and age? I will absolutely be coming back and passing the great word around. I highly recommend Ed Little (Bob) for exceptional service AND customer service.

Very fair pricing and fast service. I like the idea of supporting local business and will bring my car back for any other routine maintenance or repairs I may need. Had my brakes inspected before I came here, and was quoted some outrageous price from a supposedly good mechanic on La Brea, a referral by a good friend. What a joke! I brought my domestic make car in and ended up only needing rear brakes done. Saved me ALOT of money. Also definitely better than the dealers quote as well that I had before I moved here. But my dealership always tried to get $$ from me. Don't they all?! So far so good on the work they did. I would recommend them to anyone with a car issue or definitely for a second opinion on a repair.

I needed to replace the auxiliary battery in my Toyota hybrid. Dealership was going to jack the price up on parts and labor. Called Bob at Ed Little in Culver City and he ordered the battery from Toyota and installed it the next day. It took 15 minutes and they saved me over $250. Will definitely be going here as my new regular mechanic.

Bob is a very trustworthy and honest mechanic, which is hard to find these days. They work on import and American cars (no European) and the prices are always reasonable, which I think many can agree and that's what keeps us coming back. Keep up the great work Ed Little!

I always feel they truly care about their customers. They are honest and thorough. The first time I went to them, they discovered a problem that the dealer needed to fix with no cost to me. They could have easily charged me to fix it themselves but they noticed it was the dealers responsibility and what to tell them. I continued to bring my car with each concern and I always feel taken care of.

I had check engine light on when driving on freeway, so I stopped by the nearest car repair business. I was given $8,000 estimate to fix my car. I took my car to Ed Little and $95 later, my car is fixed. I am so grateful for your honesty and expertise. You are amazing!

I bought a new car battery and needed someone to help me install it. I found this place from a reviews site and my experience was aligned with the reviews. They helped me change the battery and didn't charge me, so I tipped the guy who did the work. Overall, I had a positive experience and impression of the place, people seem straightforward and honest which are the type of mechics I prefer to deal with. I'm going to start going here from now on!
