My interaction with these guys has been pretty great. They are friendly and personable which I did not expect from a government office.

I can vouch for the previous comment. This is absolutely the worst government program and a waste of people's time who are in critical need of getting a resolution to their automobile destroyed by a repair shop. I had a car that DID NOT need a transmission flush that Valvoline recommended to me. THEY SAID I should get the service. A week later my transmission sounded bad and I couldn't drive more than 60 MPH.Kevin Sanderson from BAR mediated the case. who I did not think was very professional at all, and also not impartial on the case. Why would I go to an unauthorized auto repair place that the manager hands to me on a business card? That's just opening the door for more problems, needless to say it could be a friend of the manager's. Also to add to that, after Kevin goes on site to Valvoline and getting feedback from the manager, I get a letter in the mail that he decided to close my case because the manager at Valvoline offered a non Valvoline inception facility to look at my car. It's extremely difficult to prove a transmission failure since an automobile shop has to take the whole thing a part. I all know is, I get the service, and immediately following that my car's transmission fails.A major waste of time and extremely stressful to have to deal with. I would have gotten more things done on my own by going directly to small claims to begin with.

I have been dealing with an extremely stressful car repair situation for about a year and a half. People kept telling me "go to BAR go to BAR, they'll help you out". I finally decide to go and write a 4 page complaint on my situation and leave thinking that my problem will be solved soon. A few days later a rep calls me and tells me that he spoke with the mechanic and that the case will be closed. Well my car still wasn't fixed after that, matter of fact it stayed in and out of the shop for about another six months. I couldn't take it anywhere else because my warranty is with them. I called BAR and they said it was nothing else they can do and to take them to small claims.....if I would've known they were going to do so little I would've done that in the first place. Don't waste your time. Sorry BAR
