We recently bought a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport for my wife, Damaged the front end bumper underneath, SHE took it to the Ford Dealer, They claimed they needed to keep the car for a few days, And they needed to replace the entire front bumper quoted over $1k just for the bumper, Instead we were highly recommended to Steve, Who looked at it said I can fix quoted $150. Took 1 hr. Fixed it like new, Excellent knowledge Skills, And great customer service by Steve, And the entire staff, We would definitely Highly recommend for you to bring it here and get it done right at a great price and totally Honest Quote, And guarantees His awsome work,You're one stop Body Shop done by Pro's. Like one of the other reviewers I saw, I chose this because it was close by and seemed like they had decent reviews, but I cannot believe how poorly this went. My car was going to be totaled by the insurance company since they wanted to replace the roof amongst other things, but Davis gave me a much lower price to fix it just enough to be drivable again. Initially this seemed great, and I was willing to overlook a few things like scuffs or missing plastic pieces from the interior after they did their work, plus still finding glass shards after paying for glass cleanup fee, but it got so much worse. I started noticing water seemed to be getting in, so I brought it back thinking maybe it was the seal on the windshield they installed since that s a common thing to happen, and instead of actually testing for leaks or looking into anything they just put another windshield on and gave it back to me. Ended up bringing it back a third time because not only was it still leaking but I could visibly see a crack along the bottom of the windshield they had put on. They did not even seem surprised by this, just put another windshield on again and told me it was the weather stripping on the door, which seemed like it was just an excuse to get me out the door since they told me they had to order it and then never called back. It seems like there is very poor communication between everyone here, dishonest to customers and poor quality work

Hello,I hit a pole at the post office with my truck. Took it over to Davis for an estimate. Steve was great, had the estimate in about 15 minutes.Took it back two weeks later and had the work done. The work came out awesome! Truck looks brand new again. Keep up the good work!!Service: Body & Trim

I went to Davis auto body here in Crestline because they are right down the street, I have 4 scratches on the bottom of the passenger door of an F150 and a small ding size of a qurter that can be pulled out with a suction cup, the estimate I received is for $2,000+ and includes taking off the front grill assembly, the headlights, taking the windows out, taking off the flare wheel opening on the bed, refinishing the fender (which has no damage at all) $1,000 for sheet metal and work, when all that needs to be done is the door refinished and painted. Shop down the hill charged $550 and its better than new. Rip OFF!

I highly recommend this business. I had two cars wrecked during the blizzard of 23 and Davis Auto Body did an excellent job handling my horrible insurance company, fixing my cars and kept me updated throughout the process. Both my cars look brand new!

My wife hit a bear, or I should say a bear hit her, on Daley Canyon Road. The bear was fine and just walked off but our Rav4 didn't fare as well. The guys at Davis were awesome to work with, took care of everything and put it back together beautifully. They did an awesome job on my truck repair. Truck with detail to the nines when I got it back staff is very very customer oriented. And the owners Joe and Shelly are remarkable would recommend this to anybody that needs collision repair. The work they do is second to none they went the extra mile and my truck shows at. NOTICE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!!These people are the rudest business I've ever cross paths.The woman at the front desk especially. She has a mental problem. Very cold, no manners. Very GHETTO disposition. Sadly ! They do not appreciate business from anyone!!!

Shelly made this experience much easier than expected. I was traumatized due to my brand new car being hit. Shelly dealt with the insurance company, pushing the process along. I didnt know what I was supposed to do on my end, so she took up my slack making the phone calls that where needed. And the work on my vehicle is perfect. I can't even tell it was in an accident. I highly recommend Davis Auto Body. They are locals, but do incredible work from start to finish. Dont look any further if you need a good body shop.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Our bumper was dislodged from our Passat. We were using double-sided tape. We took it to Dave's for repair and were assured they could do the work. The charged us over $300 and included itemizing 'tape removal' for quite a lot. When I went to pick up the vehicle, the woman in the office seemed sourly surprised when I came in to the office. She then said, "Oh yeah" and began searching for our, "folder" (printed sheets). I asked her if people came in normally because she seemed so put out. She then said that I would be surprised by the what she saw walking by on a daily basis and described briefly some apparent drug issues in the area. She then told me to make sure I locked the car, which surprised me. I asked why the car wasn't locked, and she again, seemed put out. She said it's too much work for the guys getting in and out. The car was parked out in front and not in her view. Poor CS/reminded me of a teenager who was bugged by the adult asking questions.Two weeks later, the bumper fell down. We took the car back. The failed to inform us that THEY were going to use double sided tape! lol I'm not sure if that's standard, but...We were refunded just over $70, for what we were told was that portion of the labor and told they couldn't do anything to fix the bumper properly. I've not had someone like this not stand behind their work and, coupled with the very poor CS, I would recommend going down the hill. They are the only game in town and as such, do not seem to need to either honor their work or take on new customers. Local ratings seem to have raised their reviews here.

Jose and Davis Auto Body was recommended by Bill's Crestline Garage for doing a front end alignment. They wanted $80 for it which I've read is about average for Toyota Prius. I asked on the phone if Jose could do it since that's who Bill recommended and they said sure. After I dropped off my car, the receptionist actually remembered that I'd requested Jose and went out and paged him to do the job. At most places I would expect to have to remind them of something like that after I got there.About 20 minutes later the manager explained he'd have to charge an additional $40 to reset the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) system after the alignment had changed. I was annoyed they hadn't mentioned that up front but he explained the cost of the equipment to do the reset was ridiculous even though all it needed to do was issue a simple computer command, so I agreed and read online that it was indeed necessary on Toyota vehicles or the VSC system might try to take control of the wheel or at least flash a warning light when you make a normal turn. I more blame Toyota for making the equipment so expensive. About 30 more minutes and I overheard Jose telling the manager that the computer said my car didn't have VSC. I looked online again and sure enough, it wasn't part of the package I had purchased (plus you can tell if no VSC light appears when you put the car in IG-ON on mode - that's start button twice without pressing the brake). I wasn't sure if they would know I'd overheard the conversation since it happened behind a wall, so I waited to see if they would admit the mistake and/or still charge me the $40, prepared to argue that they should have known the car didn't have VSC. When he handed me the bill he said there was good news that they didn't need to do the VSC reset so it was only $80. So they're an honest body shop! Very nice to find.I also heard the receptionist in the back talking to a co-worker about how she'd called back and forth between CHP, insurance, and another mechanic to get a car that the customer had requested be taken to Davis Auto actually delivered to Davis. There was some shenanigans going on where the other mechanic wanted to overcharge and claimed the insurance company wouldn't let the car be taken anywhere else which wasn't true. So it was nice to hear the receptionist went to bat for the customer.

Davis does beautiful work at a competetive price. We got a competetive quote from a chain auto body shop down the hill and Davis was cheaper for the same work.

Good.. detailed.. pricey, but it's all done correct, no shortcuts. If you find cheaper.. there is going to be some corner that's going to be cut.
