This place is a hidden gem, the rooms are simple, clean, and affordable with a beautiful view of the beach & ocean. The motel has a cool beach side retro vibe. The sea view from the rooms are fantastic, I fell asleep to the peaceful sounds of the waves crashing onto the beach, woke up rested and drank my coffee on the deck with my view of the beach and the lighthouse in the distance. Two thumbs up!

We stayed during a storm, totally awesome waves. Older beach style vibe motel, that is clean and on the ocean. We brought a cooler, extra cozy blankets and beach towels, just in case. I was surprised how quite, the room was, didn't hear car's driving or the crazy wind either. The view from our room #11 was perfect to watch the surf. We will be back to enjoy a sunny beach day.Rooms: Rooms are very clean, there are different types of rooms, we had a single queen bed, over looking the ocean, with a nice deck outside.Safety: We felt very safe, lots of out door lighting.Walkability: Walking down to the beach was easy. If you enjoy walking you can walk into town about maybe a mile walk.Noteworthy details: Nice to be on the ocean, and the price for the room was great, 2-nights in Feb, mid week $128.60 with Hotel Tax. Only saving grace about this place is the ..Ocean! We paid in advance and additionally paid extra to arrive early. Hidden costs beware! No hot water beyond our first shower. No microwave, fridge. The ceiling was dripping as it was raining. Management was not there when we arrived leaving a kind room service gal to give us a key. Something isn't right about this place. We wont go back.Noteworthy details: thumbs down.

Have been wanting to stay here for years and finally did.Loved the view as each room faces the ocean.Walk on the beach to your heart's content.Comfy rooms.Bed was a bit hard for me..but that's a personal preference.Anna in the office is a retro car buff with her dad and is so sweet.Going to visit Kyoto per recommendation from her and her mom.

checked into this motel, was sent to room 3 and like another review said, it smelled like urine. pretty bad. but that wasn't as bad as the man leaned up against the outside of the sliding glass door having convulsions. he was obviously high on some sort of drug as he was unresponsive to me tapping on the door. I went to the office to explain why I could not stay at this dump, but the lady was of no help as she didn't see a problem and refused to refund our money. the best she offered was to move us to another room. we checked into another hotel in town and got settled in when the lady from the cresent beach motel called me to inform me that the 2 men on our deck were "well educated engineers " I'm thinking that because my wife and myself are senior citizens this lady thought we didn't know what "tweekers, junkies or addicts" are. I do know what they are, and that's what was leaning against our door ! I don't have pet's and I don't smoke but will be asked to leave AND fined if I I bring a pet or smoke on this property but it's OK to smoke crack or meth and invade another guest's space ? I would recommend looking for somewhere else to stay.

Again I come here because the beach is right outside your slider door. I came to relax, when I walked into room smelled like stale smoke. Then lucky me motel not even 1/4 full and you Arizona booked your room next too me. Everytime they went out the door slamming it. Than snuck in a dog. It s not pup friendly motel . Shame on you your pup woke me twice. I despise sneaky people. I wanted to just chill New Year s Day ended up being a big fat no with loud abrasive room no 8 !!!!Rooms: Outdated cleanWalkability: Walk beach right outside door

I enjoyed my stay at this location, I will say, for the price you are really just paying for the view and beach access. The rooms are outdated and do not have a fridge or microwave. They are clean however and just what we needed as we were visiting family and had a place to prepare meals. I found it to be a little noisy at night, not great sound insulation. Staff was excellent and made us feel welcome. Definitely a positive experience and would stay here again, I just wish it was cheaper, or same price with some more accommodations in the rooms.Rooms: Rooms are quaint, included a coffee machine and toiletries. Television with limited channels. There was no microwave, fridge, hair dryer, or iron included in the room. Rooms open with a key. Two chairs sit in front of the rooms that overlook the ocean.

The room was small and the bed very hard. Glad I didn't have to sleep one more night on it. I love being right on the beach. That is why we like staying in this motel. Just a few steps out the motel room door and we are on the beach. We LOVE this beach. The service was better this visit compared to our last stay. We will return but just not the same room unless they get a new mattress for that bed.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Our room opened right onto the beach. I love that this place has security guards on site just because we don t know the area and it makes us feel safer. This is a hidden gem of a location. Austin was amazing helping us check in and checking on us throughout our stay. I agree with other reviews that for the price, the rooms need microwaves and mini fridges. Adding those two items would truly make it feel like a retreat.Safety: Absolutely a safe place with security overnight.

The positive reviews about this motel are baffling and unwarranted. The bathroom sink had either hot or cold water...but not both...and the overall condition of the room was mediocre at best. To pay nearly $200 for the night was outrageous and would still be outrageous if the price was only half. The staff and location was nice but the units showed little sign of upkeep, suggesting that whoever owns this motel is more interested in skimming as much profit as they can with doing minimal maintenance. After staying the night we agreed that we'd have had a better night sleeping in a rest area than here.

We have been coming to this little motel for years without a complaint. But this time was very disappointing. The beach and ocean were stunning. The service was fine. But the room was so uncomfortable we couldn't wait to leave. We booked online and our usual choices were not available. When we arrived there were two cars, and it didn't change much until the next day. Go figure. We ended up with room 4. Room 4 is a small room for two people with another queen bed shoved in there to accommodate 4 people. There is no room to walk to the beach-side door when someone is sitting at the very small (2 person) round table. It was maddening. We figured for the two nights we were there we'd just live with it. But we won't live with it again for $185.00 a night, $402 for the stay with tax. No way.

I had a really pleasant experience at this motel. The location is amazing! Beautiful seaside rooms, you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. The rooms are very dated, it feels very 80s/90s. I understand new furniture can be very expensive. For what it's worth, the furniture has been kept very well, it doesn't look terribly damaged or old.My least favorite part was the bed. It was very hard, like others have pointed out. Made it uncomfortable to sleep in, I'm sure it'd be harder for people with back problems. The housekeepers do a really good job of keeping the place clean despite the age. The carpet was well vacuumed, the sheets and looked very clean, the bathroom was also very nice. Even though the tub itself looked a little stained, it still seemed it's been cleaned well. I could easily see this place becoming much worse to stay in if it wasn't for the excellent work and care the housekeeping crew puts into the place.I love that they have a security guard at the motel overnight! It made me feel much safer. The receptionist was also super friendly and helpful.I agree with some of the others, the inclusion of a minifridge and/or microwave in the rooms would be really nice. Also, in order to avoid getting sand in the bathrooms, as it seems they're strict about, maybe including a washing-off area near the beach entrance would be good. Just a hose for people to spray themselves off with, maybe on a timer or something to avoid leaving it on for so long.I think the prices seemed fair for the area, I saw much worse hotels charging much more. I would definitely stay here again.

This had been the best motel experience of my life! Didn t plan to stay here but just happened to find it randomly and decided to stay for a couple nights while passing through on a month long motorcycle trip. Ocean views right out from my patio sliding door. So much stuff to see and do in this area. Also, every one of the staff are so incredibly nice and helpful! I will absolutely be coming back here with my gf in the future!

I highly recommend staying at this motel if you plan to come to the area. The ocean view was amazing and the room was very comfortable and quiet. Sandra at the front desk provided amazing service! She upgraded me to a larger room and gave me some great tips on hiking trails and restaurants. As a solo female traveler, I told her the hike I was planning to do. She kindly called me before her shift ended just to check on me and let me know that she left a note for the next employee to make sure I made it back safely. They also have overnight security. I SO appreciated that she went out of her way to make sure I was safe. I took her advice for the cafe she recommended the next morning (Hiouchi Cafe) and it was delicious. Can't say enough good things about my stay, if you have the chance to visit, this is the place to go!

If there were 10 stars this place would be a 10+! I wanted peace and quiet and access to the beach. I found all that and then some! Stayed a week, if work wasn t calling I d stay longer! Beach access is right outside your door! There s nobody on the beach! So many treasures I have found, it s like Heaven on earth! The desk people are crazy nice and the housekeeping staff go above and beyond. Towels are very nice and thick. No pets allowed. No fridge or microwave in rooms, but there is a microwave, decent size, that has 24 hour access. There is an ice machine too. Free breakfast of oatmeal and fruit, perfect for a long, long walk on the beach! You can collect the driftwood and have fires on the beach south of hotel! No garbage on the beach at all. Town is 1.5 miles to the north and has everything you could want. There is a Chevron on the south end of town that has its own kitchen and has incredible food. Food? Clam chowder is incredible anywhere you go! What a wonderful experience! I m already booked for next year, twice as long! Next year came fast! 6/9 and here for 10 days. Brought company this time.

Sandra is amazing! She helped me make sure my booking was exactly the way I wanted it and did everything in her power to give me the best experience possible. In hard times it is nice to have someone so willing and kind to ensure a great experience for the customers. This is my favorite stay and will always come back, not only for the views, but also because the staff is awesome.

Straight forward lil motel on the coast. Friendly staff; clean rooms, they re just a bit well used; easy parking; friendly and effective security guard; decently priced. A stones throw from the ocean. Ice machine but no fridge, kind of a bummer but not a deal breaker for me, maybe for some. They did offer one for an additional $5.Overall nice lil spot to lay your head for a night or so.

We stayed 3 nights in #15 and it was pretty amazing - I was worried with the beach access point just outside our door that it would be noisy but it was not. I would have rated higher had the room been a bit more clean. Beds were firm and no bedspread but we brought extra blankets. The walls are quite dirty and need some attention as well as the carpets. Overall it was good and you can t beat walking right out your door onto the beach
