I never write reviews, but the service here is so good I feel the need to. John and his team are extremely knowledgeable and have always made me feel like my car is in good hands. On top of the great automotive work, they offer a friendly atmosphere, clear and comprehensive diagnostics, reliable quotes, and transparent cost breakdowns. The pricing is always fair and even generous when considering the outstanding service. Highly recommend.

I have a 2013 Audi Q5 and Strom is always great with my car. They re incredibly knowledgeable and their mechanics are top notch.The management is also very friendly and accommodating.One of the best things is that no matter what s going on with your car, they ll run through a list of options to fix the problem, starting with the least expensive (let s try this first and see if it works ) all the way up through the more complicated and/or expensive solutions as a last resort.If you ve got a European/German car, this is definitely where you want to take it. I seldom share feedback about companies I've engaged with, but I'm compelled to share my experience with Strom. Recently, I bought a two-year-old CPO M8 Comp, and to cut a long story short, the brakes were making an unbearable squeaking noise. Neither the dealership nor BMW USA offered assistance in replacing the brakes. The BMW forums suggested Porterfield brake pads as a solution, and Strom was recommended for the installation. Following their inspection, the Strom team was genuinely honest, advising that my rotors didn't require replacement, only the pads. I'm delighted to report that my brakes are now completely silent. Kudos to Brad Strom and the team! I look forward to working with you and your great team again in the future...

They are literally the NICEST people! So kind and explain everything going on, options, what's most cost effective. Absolutely have my highest recommendation. As a young woman, I get nervous that I'm going to be tricked because I don't know anything about cars-- I have never felt that here! They are honest, genuine, and fair.

John, Was friendly and gave me an appointment. When I arrived he gave me a copy of the estimate for a front brake job. He told me approximately how long it would take. He completed the work in that time frame, when I picked up the car, he said it was a little less( not a lot but so conscientious)I m very happy with the work and will use Storm again.KA

Brought my Macan there for braking issues and had the most thorough review of my car complete with pictures to back up all the diagnosis! I've never had this type of detail with photos anywhere previously. Great place, great service. I wish I could get my colonoscopy there.

I don t usually post reviews but I have to highlight the great service by John and his team.They are very friendly and amazing and I will definitely be coming here as long as I live in SoCal. They are very honest and will tell you exactly what you need and their prices are very affordable. I would recommend no one should ever go to the dealership and they should just come here

I have a Audi A6. Strom German Auto Mechanics did an oil change, and resurfaced my front rotors and changed the brake pads. My interaction with this garage was pleasant and straightforward. Incredible service, these guys are experts and know exactly what they are doing. If you have a German car, they re the best. Pricing is fair and they are very honest with you about what needs to be fixed versus something that may become an issue in the future. Highly recommend, look no further.

My BMW 328 wouldn t idle, and even with a fair amount of automotive knowledge, I couldn t diagnose the problem which is saying a lot with all the resources on the internet! I began calling local BMW mechanics to vet them for knowledge and price and as soon as I spoke to John Barret at Strom German Auto Service, I knew I had found my guys. He was willing to offer an educated guess on the problem over the phone (which is rare), and even sent me an estimate without having to take my car in. Based on my experience, I knew their labor and parts costs were fair and he was able to look at my car the same day. John s diagnosis was correct and my car was ready the next day. And if you like nice people (who doesn t?), I don t think you will find a friendlier person either. When you need help with something as important as your transportation to your job, it s nice to know someone who provides quality work for a fair price. You won t be disappointed!Service: Engine repair

This is by far the best shop!!!!! The staff is tremendously helpful and friendly. The best part about Strom is they don't try to oversell you on things you don't really needm I would highly recommend this shop!!!!!

One of those beyond customer service businesses. It was looking like a 3 month wait for coilovers due to Covid. Strom found a supplier and got them delivered in a month. Alignment was being extra stubborn to dial in. Experts persevered and got it perfect. Even though it took longer than they anticipated they still gave me a great price.

These guys are awesome. Honest experts. The quote was perfectly itemized, the price was great and the communication fantastic. I had my diesel car towed there, they ordered an Uber to car rental and got me a reduced rate. They kept me up to date through the repair. Seamless. Plus the timing belt repair and other work has a 2yr warranty. I highly recommend these guys without hesitation. I've found my go-to guys.

I did a lot of research to look for a reliable mechanic to avoid the high dealership repairs costs. This is absolutely the place to service your vehicle. Amazed from start to finish. I didn't think a shop like this existed. Quality work, honest and amazing prices compared to what the dealer wanted to charge. My car is an Audi Q7 and these cars can be complex to maintain and repair and expensive if using the dealership. I took my 2003 Audi A4 1.8T in for a wheel alignment. I had just installed some adjustable upper link since I both daily drive and Track/ Autocross my car. I looked them up and saw that they serviced race cars so I figured them to be a great source for this type of work. They discovered that they were having some problems in achieving the desired camber/ toe in the rear of the car and rather than just put in what they thought would work, John took the time to call and discuss the options that were available. I appreciate that they took the time time to do this. I'm really happy with the work they did and how great the car performs. John is a great guy and so is the entire staff. The guys at Strom did an awesome job installing an upgraded clutch on my MKVII GTI. I wasn't positive on whether a rough shift issue was related to the clutch or a mount, so they started with the clutch and kept me updated every step of the way. Car was back on the road in a day and the clutch feels fantastic. I've always done my own repair/upgrade work prior to moving out here, but these guys are super easy to work with and very detailed - will definitely take my car back there next time I need something!

This is the one and only place I go for my Audi A7 2012! Maison (mechanic), John (manager) and Mike are super helpful, professional, knowledgeable, kind, friendly and trustworthy men. My car recently has major engine issues and Maison (mechanic) was able to fix it in a timely manner. John & Maison delivered what they promised. They both always give me a heads up of what s happening to my car & try to save me money. He's also done my routine maintenance for the past few years. I thank god I found STROM auto body repair to take excellent care of my car. Now, I am worry free about my car issues. I will be coming back for my next service indefinitely ... here and only here! . Ever since I found Maison, my life has been 10 times easier. Strom German Auto Service provides excellent customer and auto services. Very detail oriented and ensured everything on my Audi was checked and running well. Strom provided my vehicle s maintenance status needs and did not try to upsell anything that wasn t needed. Strom will definitely be my new auto service place to service my Audi.Service: Oil change

I am so happy & relieved that I've found this place. I've had terrible experiences at a dealership where they used scare tactics, charged for repairs that didn't need to be done, and treated me with disrespect (e.g., threatening me of impending doom if I don't follow through with their repair suggestions). I've called numerous German auto repair shops and VW dealerships in OC, but Strom provided the lowest prices, the most transparent line-by-line estimates via text/email, and fantastic customer service experience. Both John and Brad were absolutely terrific in their assistance if I needed to adjust the estimate or reschedule an appointment. It is clear that the people here have integrity, which is a refreshing rarity in the world of mechanics. I've let them know of my financial situation, and they relayed their expertise and findings that my GTI is running well and did not need emergency repairs, so I did not have to proceed with the repairs as my car will last me another year or about 30k more miles, which is in stark contrast to VW of Garden Grove's scare tactics & false claims that I have to complete the repairs within a month or face an additional $3k in repairs. Of course, I understand that John provided a rough timeframe, but he was able to give me signs to look for when conditions worsen & how to continue caring for my car. I only lamented that I did not discover Strom sooner. I am most definitely coming back here for any repairs in the future. I have immense gratitude for John. Thank you for your compassion, honesty, and expert help!

My husband brought our 2010 R8 v10 in after having it diagnosed from another shop with an oil leak from the pump housing. John gave me two options depending on whether it just needed new seals or a complete new oil pump.John didn't try to upsell us on new pump or add on additional work like new gaskets for the heads and timing chain (as another shop did). The work was completed on time and within the original estimate. After the work he spent the time to show us the work done (pictures) and what was needed. Very helpful, honest and fixed correctly the first time. Definitely going to use Strom for all our future service and any work to be done.Service: Engine repair

Strom is truly the best in the business. I take all my VW's and the service is awesome. They are patient, kind and helpful.
