And in last night place was clean inside, bathrooms were clean , however they had a sign that said showers were down. The iron skillet restaurant I would not recommend you eat there unless you are hard up and starving the food was gross greasy as hell and not cooked right after eating there I got sick.If you want something quick there is McDonald and jack in the box across the street not that it s much healthier but would have tasted better .

This is a pretty nice Petro. Thankfully they haven't pulled the restaurant out, as we've seen happen so much after Covid. (BTW, truck stop industry, we HATE all the fast food you've replaced sit down restaurants with.)Clean, well maintained, friendly staff. The only thing I'm not thrilled with is all the homeless that are all over the lot. They're walking, riding bikes, rifling through the garbage. Some appear pretty doped out. They go between truckstops, so this isn't just Petro. Seems this town, as so many California towns do, has an issue with overabundance of homeless. I'm literally watching one right now have some kind of major or drug thing.. Hes high as a kite apparently and jumping all over inside the fenced garbage area behind Petro. It is sad.

Every time there is an issue, ie restrooms, diner, store, it shuts the whole thing down for days and weeks. Get it together already. Sucks to have to walk and carry a case of water from one of the other truck stops because drivers has run out of hours or can't interrupt 10 hour break.

Restaurant was horrible. They really take truck drivers for granted. Their dishes from the food bar are unclean and that turned my stomach. And the service is poor. I went through plates of food that were not good.

Petro locations appear to be very expensive compared to Pilot/Flying J or Love's. Petro charges $22.79 + tax for a 10oz bag of Old Trapper peppered beef jerky. Where as for the exact same brand and flavor and size, Pilot charges $17.49 + tax and Chevron charges $16.99 + tax.Lots of cute stuff and souvenirs for sale though! Just quite overpriced. There are no seat covers in the restroom which was annoying, but at least they were clean.

Possibly one of the best TA Travel Service Centers anywhere. These guys communicate and deliver great service. I came in for a Tire. Upon closer inspection discovered a second, then a leaking airbag. I decided to greased truck and trailer, np.Elias, Cezar and Loyd aren't afraid of doing the work. These guys rock!!! THANK YOU

SKIP THIS PLACE THEY DON'T WANT THE BUSINESS & THEY ARE RUDE. GO ACROSS STREET TO DENNY'S!!! Iron skillet hours listed as 7am-9pm but I came at 8:50pm to make a carry out order only to be turned away rudely & told they stop taking orders around 8:40pm because it takes them until 9pm long to make those 8:40pm orders, which apparently is a problem for them. There are several (like 4) tables of diners still seated with plates of food in front of them, eating & enjoying their food inside the restaurant. None of them close to being done & all still eating after 9pm as I'm writing this from outside, watching through the windows, but the prospect of making a to go plate for me that might keep them a minute after closing if they are slow about it was too big a burden. 9:10pm update: still 2 tables seated ...

So nice to have an actual restaurant to have lunch on our RV trip! So much nicer than those fast food offerings. Food was very good - we had breakfast for lunch. The bacon was cooked perfectly - crispy but not over cooked . Rachelle was very nice, friendly, and efficient. The diesel pump was clean and worked well.

Have been coming to this Petro since it opened, and I can vouch for consistent quality for the shop, Iron Skillet, store, and Fuel Island. The staff is friendly, and supportive of a drivers needs in all departments.Had shop work done today, which was completed quickly, and carefully. Will continue to support this business.New information on LOF. Wiper fluid not topped off, rear, trailer, brake chamber broken...still works but would've appreciated knowing the bracket was broken and hanging, and water/fuel separator was not changed even tho the electrical line was cut.I'm getting it taken care of in Texas right now. The brake chamber bracket was found by the dot in Cottonwood inspection station.Double check your filters...I usually have the techs sign them.

I have been here before but never left a review...so here it goes! Restroom, shower and atmosphere clean. Most of the employees are friendly and helpful. The washer and dryer is $3.00 each, small TV room, small game room and average size showers. There's 2 washers and 4 dryers. The coin machine says it takes $5-10-20's it doesn't...it only takes $1&$5.The restaurant....we went about 9pm, the buffet closes at 10:00 or 10:30....so we basically got the tail end of the food. You could tell they were about to close. The soup was nearly gone, steak was on the buffet it was to rare...and the reminder of the food was dry and old. I wish I would have ordered from the menu. The older waitress are so friendly and interact with all their customers. Oh but the semi young ones at the check out counter and behind the food bar...needs to be retrained in customer service!!! They have no personality.Overall, a good experience! There's plenty parking. If we are in this area we'll come back!

Everything was good accept the lunch at the iron skillet restaurant, a huge deferent between lunch and dinner.Lunch was very bad to the limit turned my appetite completely off about services and food. Staff weren't doing the job the way it should be.On the other side, dinner staff were perfect and the food was great, I was really enjoying it.Thank you.

Great comfort food menu items. Fresh ground, fresh brewed coffee. Brewed iced tea, none of that syrup nonsense. TV lounge. Game room complete with pool table. Nice, new-ish showers. All you can eat buffet. What more could you want?I've been eating here my whole life and the food has always been fantastic. The portions are usually TOO BIG but even if not, add-ons are generally a decent price. Portions not enough, or you can't decide what to eat? Try the buffet. It's all you can eat AND it comes with salad and soup. :)

Tried the buffet at the Iron Skillet and it was pretty darn good. I would definitely stop again for a quick meal while on the road. Staff was great and even offered to fix me ice tea to go.

Bad service, waited more than 30mins for a Philly cheese steak and fries that never came. Even they're buffet looked as if it wasn't being maintained. Waitress was polite enough, not her fault they have a lousy and slow Cook that looked like he hadn't bathe in a couple days

We went to the Petro for breakfast at the iron skillet restaurant. The lady that served us did a great job. She was friendly and got the order exactly right. The food was great and reasonable. The bathrooms were clean.

Food and service were good.Petro needs to remodel this place. The bathroom smelled like dirty socks the floor was dirty I guess they don't use a good mop water with a good soap it was also hot and could use some more ventilation in there. They could also use more parking.

Great Food, excellent stopping point along I-5. This is one of my favorite places to stop and take a break from driving. The store is trucker oriented so lots of stuff for drivers to shop for, CB. Radios etc. The eatery (Iron skillet is next to none for home cooking type foods. And at a reasonable price. The whole place is well lit and spot on clean. I think it's way more safe than a rest stop. Lots of things to check out.theres a TV lounge and showers for the truck drivers. The personnel are always friendly and cheerful. It's always been a pleasent experience for me. I've even driven there just to eat. I highly recommend anyone driving by to stop and check this place out.

Went there for the breakfast pork chops but didn't make it in time. Unfortunately end up getting the lunch buffet instead. Some items are good while others was just mediocre in the taste department. Will end up going there again though hopefully i will end up getting what i went there for next time.

Showers here are pathetic! Shower curtains are way too small and flimsy resulting in water covering the whole floor and running out under the door into the hallway!Shower rooms are small and cramped! No exhaust ventilation and smells like a sewage treatment plant!Unbelievably bad experience!!!

Large parking lot! Unique items for sale in the store. Clean, but small bathrooms that need to have the curtains replaced with something less clingy.

Nice and clean iron skillet restaurant, clean restrooms, nice and kind attendants, big parking lot but it's smaller than their neighbors TA and loves. Average convenience store. They also have a small convenience store in diesel fuel area, lots of fuel pumps.

Stopped in on 10/31/2018 for breakfast, had the Cowboy cut steak prepared medium, fried eggs over medium, wheat toast and fruit in place of potatoes. The steak was phenomenal, I've never been served a steak at any Petro as thick as this. At least an inch and a quarter. The eggs were fried perfectly with the yolks runny and the whites not runny. The toast was was well buttered and not burnt. The bowl of fruit was awesome, with cantaloupe, honey dew, a few strawberry pieces and lots of blueberries. The coffee was enough for me and the water was served with a straw. The waitress in her zombie makeup for Halloween, stopped by a few times to check on me. All in all, probably one of the best Petro breakfasts I've had in a long time. Petro Corning...5 stars. Thankyou.

This is actually a nice location as far as truck stops and Travel Centers go. The Iron Skillet Restaurant actually has some pretty good food, and the servers are there were friendly and prompt their service. The lady at the checkout counter when it came time to pay with also extremely friendly, and the bathrooms were clean and well-kept. The little convenience store next to the restaurant in the Travel Center was well stocked as far as Travel Center convenience stores. We picked up some food and drinks for the road and then a PAW Patrol stuffed Beanie Baby for my son. The lady when we paid with again plate, and when we got into the car my son noticed that Rubble had a little hole in him. So I promptly brought it back inside, and she had no issues with initiating a return and exchange for one without a whole. You really don't expect much when you go to travel centers: food gas and go but as far as Travel Centers goes this was actually a great location with a friendly staff.
