The owner /mechanic is very good and his pricing is awesome,I highly recommend everyone to use this man for all auto and smog needs..I am very happy my old truck runs like new again

Great place to get a smog on your carI have taken several cars to him and he is a real nice guy. You can also get AC charged and car repair done.

Been here 3 times in the past couple of years. They did a good job on smog and an ok job on my alternator but about 4 months ago when I took my vehicle in for a new motor mount they told me they fixed it and charged 400 and even tried to show me a "motor mount" that they took out of my vehicle and supposedly had replaced with a new one but they never actually replaced it, the problem still remained. Confirmed when a week later I took it to another shop in town that actually fixed the problem. I could tell I wasn't welcome there for whatever reason and haven't returned since but felt I should warn others after realizing I could help others avoid dealing with an unscrupulous business.

After having my car all day, they said that they could not fix my automatic doors, that only the dealership could do this and it usually runs about $2200.00 per door. He offered to disconnect the automatic doors for me instead, so that I could still use them manually, and I agreed. Instead, he never even took the light off to get to the motor, he cut the lines of the doors thinking I would never find out, and charged me $220 for that. Very shady, very dishonest. I can't believe this happened and this is just incredibly lazy and honestly embarrassing. I hope nobody else gets duped by them in the future.

Alonso and his team are great! A coworker of mine sent me here because he said Al was the best in town, bar none, and I agree. They're super friendly, reasonable in price, and no sudden surprises. As a single woman who doesn't know much about cars, having a trustworthy mechanic is AMAZING.

Totally ripped off and lied to! Said he "disconnected my automatic doors" however, the automatic door motors were never even checked. All he did was cut the lines and tell me he disconnected them, thinking I would never find out, and charge me $220 and have my car all day long!!! Super shady company, never use them!

When a mechanic recommends a mechanic, he's gotta be good. And Al is just that. Good work at a fair price. If you have had bad experiences with some of the other shops in town, give Olive City a try!

Best & most honest, reasonable, smart mechanic in this town! Been having my cars taken care of by him for 8 1/2 years. Fast on smogs too! Alonso is super!

The mechanic who also owns this business is great! He does everything to save customer money, if possible. Stands behind his work. We're very happy with his work on our vehicles.

Great customer service. As a single woman sometimes it's hard to find someone to trust with vehicle repairs. Trust Al and his team 100%. Totally recommend Olive City Auto Repair.

My husband was here this morning to smog our 93 Corolla we use as a commuter. When he arrived for his 9:30 appointment there was a lot of communication with his buddy about ordering parts. Then into the smog Jesus was talking to a buddy in Spanish (assuming my husband didn't speak Spanish 'he does') about what he needs done to his car and his Life. That's all fine. Whatever. What upset me is Jesus told my husband he had to 'sit down' meanwhile his buddy was LEANING on our car! Um.. sounds to me that this shop is 'friend based',placing others as a priority. I'm so upset. I can't believe this man. Not to mention he made fun of my husband's name laughing at him saying in a sarcastic way 'Troy McClure' because his name is Troy. SUPER unprofessional and down right rude. I WOULD NOT recommend for a second.

Here are my 2 bad experiences with this place. I'v had about 4 cars smoged here in the Past.1. The First bad experience Ive had with (the owner). I walked in and Alonso (the ownere)was chatting with someone. It was not busy at all. In fact they where the only ones there. I got there And I was not greeted I was standing there right in front of them. I felt like a ghost. A really quick "ill be right with you" would of been Awesome. Just when I had gotten tired of being ignored. I turned around and started walking away. I was literally going to leave. Alonso tells the other person that he was chasing with 'give me a second" and tells me "how can I help you". So we went about the issue. I just went ahead and brushed it off, as if it was not a big deal.2. The second Bad experience was One of my worst experiences I have ever had. I Went in on a Wednesday. I needed my car to be looked at to get diagnosed. He Said come back on Friday Ill be gone all day on Thursday. I said Ok. Then I asked him. How much will the charge be? He said "it will be $40 dollars. Today is Friday 2-2-18. I dropped off my car. When I picked it up. Just as I was about to pay. Alonso Says it will be $140. I said How if you quoted me at $40. He said that it took him longer that what it should. I completely under stand his argument. But I don't like surprises and He should off called me to tell me that it was going to be 5 times more than what he originally quoted me at. I told him that it was not fair and he said. that he also put in a thermostat to test it. I said its ok. Ill pay for it. Since they are only $10 bucks. He said "no I want $40 dollars". I told them that they are only worth $10. He said well come back next week to pick up your car So I can Remove the ($10) part and you can pick up your car. (In my head I said. "yeah right Im not leaving my black challenger with 22 inch rims and a sound system outside your shop to sit for 4 days) I said "I don't have a ride? I just go dropped off and I live out of town?? The next thing he said, I just couldn't believe!! He said "use dodge" I said "what do you mean dodge" He said "yeah use Dodge patas" For those that don't know what that means. It means to use your two legs to walk. Wow!! I was in total disbelief!! I had to wait till he felt like calling me to pick up my car. I had to leave and go for a walk around town. I felt like a total idiot. I eventually got a ride.This was my bad experiences with this place. I will never go back to olive smog auto repair again. And I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO GO HERE! And if He quotes you on something. I recommend having a quote slip with a price. So he does not raise up the price on you like he did to me. Fool me once shame on you,Fool me twice Shame on me"

My friend and I were on a road trip when our car started making worrying noises. Long story short, the owner (I think his name was Al) took us on a free ride-along to figure out what was wrong, and within an hour or so the problem was solved and we were down only $40! Couldn't have asked for better!

Love this shop. Al is friendly and so is staff. I can tell him there might be a problem and he at least will take a quick listen. Then he says make appt.

First off I don't like to complain but this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had into at shop.I did not get greeted by their office secretary who is just sitting there playing on her phone and the" two mechanics" that were in the shop we're not busy and very rude I will not do business with these people I'll take my money elsewhere.

Had went to a couple other places over the years to have different things done and had always felt that for what I had to pay wasn't worth what was done UNTIL I found Al and Olive City Auto. Very fair and friendly and doesn't try to upsell you on something that doesn't need to be done.

Went in early in the morning and asked the man in charge, great guy by the way, if he could fit me in for a smog check and he had me in and out of there in 30 minutes.

Took my Cadillac in there to get it smogged did not pass hooked up to some smoke machine he said I need a new intake it would be $500 for an intake and $500 to put it in Plus smog it again took it to smog man in Red Bluff and it passed I live in Corning and I do not go there go to smog man in Red Bluff

The main guy here is very straight forward and will give u a direct fee of what ever even over the phone hes great. I wont go anywhere else
