The people that run this place are shysters!! A diagnosis of a no start condition on my car cost me almost $300. After a couple days of my car being in the shop I inquired as to what was going on. They lied about the determination of the problem and about the work that was being done and just vaguely said that the diagnosis needed to continue. They tried to manipulate me into letting them keep the car for longer so they could charge more. After examining the car myself I discovered that the work that supposedly had been done had in fact not been done at all!

They don t care for their customers. Went in to get some information about my car issues the Tech didn t help at all. The lady in front even told me she didn t want to know what was wrong with my car. So I went to Hi tech Automotive down the road they helped me and even informed me and made suggestions on things it could be. definitely recommend going to Hi Tech Automotive!! Don t waste your time here.

Absolutely phenomenal! We had our car break down on I5. We were able to limp in. They got us right in. Solved our problem, got us back on the road. That's not all though. We were 7 people taking up their waiting area. The staff was kind, patient and generous. We even got to meet the owner. If you want fast, personal service, and honest & genuine staff, make this your go to auto shop . Thank you!!

I love the staff at Corning Auto. I always enjoy myself as I wait. The ladies are so sweet and the owner is very kind. I really appreciate how fast the work gets done, how informative and resourceful the staff is and just how much they care.

My husband and I were traveling from Portland, OR to Monterey, CA when we heard this bang, then a rush of air came at us from our air blower then a scraping noise started under our car. We pulled off the highway onto an old back road and I got under the front of the car to see what the problem was (my ex was a mechanic so I know what to look for). I found the bolt that holds the aluminum splash plate that covers the oil pan had come off on one side on the front and the air pressure had sucked it out and down which caused it to scrape along the road and was a bit torn up. I figured I just needed to attach it whatever way I could to get it back in place until we found a garage the next day. I found a caribeener and some heavy duty string and my hubby tied it into the hole where the bolt came out as I d had a hand fracture and couldn t maneuver well.The next morning we looked to see where the closest car repair place was near the Holiday Inn Express hotel where we stayed the night before and drove to Corning Auto Center. I walked in and spoke to office manager Rick and told him the problem. He immediately got his mechanic Jim to look under the car and assess the damage. Jim then proceeded to put in a new bolt and some zip ties to hold the splash plate in place so we could continue on our journey to Monterey until we got it fixed.When I went inside to pay Rick he said just a five or ten dollar tip would be enough as he didn t want to go through the process of using the debit/credit machine. I protested saying the guy who worked on our car should get paid so could I please write a check. He still insisted never mind and Martha, the other office manager said just write us a review on Yelp so I said ok, thanked them and left.This kind of good will service is what keeps bringing customers like myself back and wanting to write a five star review! If we re ever passing through Corning again and need something fixed this will definitley be our go-to place. Highly recommend!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Limited garage spots, if it s full don t leave your car parked outside someone might steal it. They replaced the starter on my truck and got it running. Felt a bit expensive but they did a good job.

Recent trip up north had a check engine light come on. Checked for code an decided a shop would be required. Was referred To corning auto repair. They were great to work with. Nicest owner & staff. Gave price & told me approximate cost for part ordered. My reg mechanic was out of town.But got the ride home and back. Great place!

Amazing auto repair shop!Taking a car into a shop is always scary because you never know if you're getting taken advantage of.Not at this place! I was treated like family.They went out of their way to make sure my Van was fixed in time to catch my flight.Great repair job, and great prices.Don't look elsewhere, go here!

Our old jeep broke down on the I-5. Corning Auto Center picked us up in a courtesy shuttle in less than 20 minutes, squeezed us into their busy schedule, and replaced the alternator at a good price. Very friendly, professional folks, made us feel at home and put up with our kids running around their shop. Best auto repair experience one could hope for. I really appreciate the team here at Corning Auto. I ve been cautious to bring my car in to a shop since my Dad passed away, because he really had a better understanding in this than me. But I honestly feel like they took great care of the situation and really helped me out when it came to repairing my car. They found more wrong with my vehicle. But with the special circumstances they did an amazing job. The reception is a busy woman but she get her Jon dome efficiently she pretty funny too!

We were at rolling hills casino and our car wouldn't go into gear, ac power was off and steering wheel was hard to turn. Called this place and we had car towed there. I Figure Check engine light was on so they would decode it and make repair. Turns out it was a blown fuse, but they charge a $238 diagnostic fee. Fuse is replaced and car is fixed, but they have it up on the lift still and the nasty women inside and shady mechanic are insisting they continue diagnosing car.So after about an hour of us waiting they say car is done. Turns out not only did they rip us off with this ridiculous diagnostic fee, but when they lifted the car they broke an attachment point where the fender attaches to the frame of the car. Something we didn't notice until Anderson when a vehicle passing by told us our front, passenger side fender was flapping. I assume he had it in the lift trying to fix what he broke.This place is horrible. Steer clear of Corning Auto Center. Even the tow truck driver noted they were expensive rip offs. Good experience. Complimentary coffee and water in the waiting area. Working AC. Staff is nice. Made an appointment the day of calling and it was all successful. Little pricey though for a smog.

Excellent service! I got a tire repaired here. I pulled in with NY plates and a sharp stone through a fairly new tire. It took much longer than I expected as I assumed it would be a easy plug job. The stone did too much damage to be that easily repaired. The mechanics removed the tire and repaired it from inside with a patch for larger holes. Even though I was quoted 10 dollars for the repair, I expected to, and would have understood if I had to pay more. The bill was exactly as quoted and the repair was top notch. I travel back and forth between Corning, Ca, and Corning, NY and I appreciate quality. I will bring all of my repair work while in the west to Corning Auto Center from now on.

Great Customer Service! We had a gas line emergency on my truck on our way to Washington. The Corning auto team got us in first thing in the morning, fixed the truck quickly, and at a very reasonable rate. Friendliest mechanics I have ever met. If you are ever near Corning and in need of auto repairs, this is the best place to go without a doubt!

They claimed to have fixed my car yet it still had a leak and shortly after leaving my check engine light came on. Plus the work they did I could have got charged $500 less at my shop. Sadly I had no choice but to take it to them at that time worst $1700 I've ever spent

Great service! We were travelling through and heard a noise from our front wheel. Called Corning Auto Center because of their great reviews and they fitted us in first thing. They quickly diagnosed the problem (just some loose lug nuts) and fixed it for us. Sent us on our way again without any charge. Thanks so much!

Great shop, wondering people. Very caring and understanding, felt as though we were difficult customers, however they made the experience the best they could. This place is awesome. Stopped in with battery issues on a road trip from Florida, they had the issue resolved in about 30 minutes, and it was done cheaply as well. Super friendly staff who cared about getting us back on the road!

My truck broke down on the side of the road just outside of Corning. AAA brought me to Corning auto Center where James King was able to fix my problem in less than an hour. I would ve been stranded otherwise I greatly appreciate it. Top-of-the-line mechanics and all around good folks!

The old guy is pretty ok. His help is learning and has a good attitude. They did the job wrong but where good about coming out to make it right when I called from that rest area two hundred miles away.

We have had a long association with Rick at Corning Auto and with his father before him. We have found him to be not just a very skilled mechanic but also a person of honesty and integrity. He has always been willing to adjust his schedule for us when necessary, and this is very important to us since my husband is disabled. Rick has an excellent reputation in our town, and I would recommend him to anyone who wants excellent service at reasonable pricesGarnet and Tommye Spittler
