I was driving home to Texas when the flexplate on my truck destroyed itself on the interstate. Albert had my car for fewer than 24 hours before he got me back on the road. He also fixed my busted driver side door without charging me. Affordable, professional, and FAST service. Thank you!

We were on our way to Universal Studios on a Sunday when our alternator belt broke leaving us stranded. Coalinga Auto was the closest auto shop, so we had our car towed there and left it with Alberto and his team while we carried on. The turnaround time was fast, and the service was phenomenal. Alberto and Javier put my mind at ease. The cost was very reasonable, they could have easily taken advantage given the situation, but they didn't. Thank you for saving our trip, and my car!

Johnny boy saved my car engine. We were on a trip to LA from San Francisco and my car engine died on me. Got towed to Coalinga and Johnny worked on it immediately and got it running again.We weren t frustrated about the repair because the staff members treated us with exceptional service and we felt like we were a family. Friendly staff, amazing repair service and reasonable pricing. We will definitely stop by to say hi if we ever go to LA road-trip again!Service: Engine repair

My check engine light came on while I was going down I-5. They had me pull right in to their shop and hooked me up to their computer and figured out the issue quickly. Everyone was so genuinely kind and helpful.

Took my car in to get an oil change they informed me that car needed a whole cover gasket replacement if not fixed the oil was gunna damage the engine I denied the service looked at the vehicle myself turns out someone removed the gasket from the top so that when i drove the vehicle it would purposely drip oil ive already filed a complaint with the better business bureau

Highly recommend. Albert, the owner, met us after hours in the rain to get our large car situated in the lot. They worked on it promptly the next day and got us on the road again by afternoon. Honest and affordable service.

I usually don't go to small town repairshops, but I was desperate to get my AC fixed. I payed $160 for "service" and freon refill. It only blew cold air for one day... what a rip off. I figured they probably need the cash bad, hence them ripping people off, so I didn't even bother going back. You guys can keep the money. I learned my lesson about janky, small town shops. Never go to them.

The locals here know to never trust this place anyone who doesn't like to accept card and only cash payments are obviously up to something shady.

I ve been coming here for 5 years now and have nothing but GREAT things to say about their all around service. The last job done on my vehicle was quoted at 3500 from ford and it was done here for 1600. Highly recommend Albert and Coalinga auto and truck diesel repair center!!! Taking advantage of a truck driver. Quoted me 500$ just for a coolant hose and 3 gallons of antifreeze. Paid for it over the phone and refused to give me a receipt. Tried calling back for a receipt but no answer. Avoid Rip off

Stopped by on the drive down to LA because of check engine light. They quickly made time for me, diagnosed it as not a major issue, and helped me get back on the road quickly.

TL;DR - This is a great shop with an honest owner. Don't hesitate to call.I bought a used Sprinter van in San Diego and the alternator gave out on I-5 on my way to Sacramento. I called this shop 5 minutes before they closed and explained what had happened, but told Albert I'd call back tomorrow if I indeed needed a repair. The next day I called him back and learned he had taken the initiative to go ahead and order a new alternator the night before, so just in case I did need one, he would have it for me. If he hadn't have done this, I would have been stranded for another 24 hours minimum.The next morning I ended up getting towed from the highway into Coalinga for the repair, and as soon as the part arrived Albert had one of his guys switch over to my van so I could get back on the road as soon as possible.Albert gave me a great deal and was professional, courteous, and honest. A 5-star review is the very least I can do. Thanks Albert!

Albert and his staff are professional and caring. My transmission went out late on a Saturday (holiday weekend) needing a full replacement. Albert located a transmission quite a distance away and he went to get it and replaced the transmission quickly. My transfer case was cracked prior to my transmission going out and he also included the transfer case with the new transmission I AM SO GRATEFUL!In my bad situation he was so easy to work with and put up with me inquiring about it repeatedly during my short stay in Coalinga. Honestly there aren t enough good things to be said about this business I am more than happy with the experience and quality work done.Service: Transmission

This is a great place to take your truck. I needed the hole hub and bearing on my driver side replace. They did it in about two hours or so and i was back on the road. i highly recommend going here.

Albert and his team literally saved my dog s life. We are driving from SF to SD and my AC broke. No way could I keep going in the heat of the day, I thought my poor dog would have a heart attack even with the windows open. They drove 2 hours round trip to get the part for my car, had to do some creative adjustments to make the part fit, fixed my AC, and got me back on the road same day. Super friendly and helpful. I can t thank you enough!

We got a huge nail in our tire passing through town on our way home. They got us fixed and back on our way. Could have easily taken advantage of us, but the price was extremely reasonable! Super friendly!

Limped into Coalinga on a Sunday with a screw in a tire that we had to pump up with a kiddie bicycle hand pump. We were camping off the grid - no cell service - couldn't get the tire off to put on a spare - These guys could not have been nicer! Fixed the tire and got us back on the road in an hour with a lunch recommendation . Outstanding! And reasonable.Service: Tires

Complete scum! Albert the owner sold me a car stating it had a new rebuilt engine. The engine went bad after two months. He laughed at me and told me it was my fault. He refused to refund me and told me I was on my own. I'm a single mother with three kids on with a disability. Thanks to him I'm without a car and my 2,600 dollars.

Horrible experience, horrible service, My father in law took his truck in for a new water pump, a thermostat, a coolant flush and change. He picked up the truck and couldn t even make it out of town, it started to over heat! He took it back Albert said it needed a head gasket or possibly an engine swap. The truck only has 106,000 miles. I told him let me work on it. I am a good hands on man. First it had the wrong coolant, it s supposed to be orange not green, it had gunk in the coolant, it was never flushed, the thermostat was put in backwards and was clogged in a lot gunk. I put in the new thermostat PROPER WAY, radiator, hoses and flushed the coolant, NOW the truck is running perfect. No issues at all. I don t trust this shop at all. MONEY HUNGRY. When I went to O Rileys for the parts I heard so many bad stores from 4 different workers there.

Installed a rebuilt transmission for me. Reasonable price. Discovered and fixed the cause of the check engine light (I didn't mention it to him ahead of time). Transmission is working great and the check engine light remains off. Car is working great!

I am thrilled with the service that I received from Albert at Coalinga Auto & Truck Diesel!My daughter was coming home from the Culinary Institute of America in Napa right before Christmas and I happened to be following her. We stopped at Harris Ranch for dinner which is our halfway point and when we came out her car would only drive 5 MPH. It was very late and dark and we were able to drive the car into a nearby Chevron station. I started making phone calls to local repair shops and was referred to Albert at Coalinga Auto & Truck Diesel.I spoke with Albert and he told me that AAA would be able to tow the vehicle to his shop where he would be able to diagnose the problem. I informed him that this is my college student's vehicle and that funds were low. I sent him the keys to the vehicle in the mail and he made arrangements to have the vehicle picked up. Unfortunately he was unable to get AAA to tow the vehicle because the card was not physically there, Albert was nice enough to take it upon himself to have his tow truck retrieve the vehicle.Once he had the car I was informed that the car overheated and that he had to replace the thermostat and a sensor. I asked him how much it would be and he had given me an amazing deal! I authorized the repairs to be completed and arranged to come and pick up the vehicle. It took 4 hours to drive one way to pick up the vehicle. We got to the shop and Albert was hilarious and super friendly! He showed us the parts that he replaced which were in a horrible condition, and he had my daughter drive the car around the block so that she could feel how it handled. She said that the car felt very smooth in comparison to before the repairs. We drove the four hours back home after another delicious dinner at Harris Ranch Restaurant without any car problems!I would recommend Albert at Coalinga Auto & Truck Diesel to anyone! If I lived closer I would have him service and repair all of my vehicles.Thank you Albert, you ROCK!!

I would recommend Albert at Coalinga Auto Repair Center. He was just amazing. I was there over Memorial Day weekend. I took my daughter to see my son in Law at the prison out there and when I came out to my car my check engine light was on. I was worried because I came from Nevada and wanted to make sure that my car was going to make it home ok Albert took very good care of my car and I had no problem getting home.

My buddy and I were on our way to L.A. yesterday (Friday night), strolling down the 5 and just our luck, the alternator went out. It s super dark, we re sitting off to the side, looking up a tow service. No luck, then of the few calls we made, someone recommends Coalinga Auto Repair. We call up and behold, Albert is on the other end! He was the only place that was still open at around 8:30/9pm. He was even willing to come meet us to try and help cuz we were in between exits (talk about customer service). Thankfully, CHP pulled up behind us and was helpful in giving us a jump to make sure it wasn t the battery (thank you to the officer that helped us!!). We called up Albert and told him not to worry about coming to us cuz we were going to go to him. Met him shortly after, and he confirmed the alternator was the issue. Unfortunately, we were going to have to wait til the morning to get it fixed, so he recommended a place to eat (24hr taqueria) and a nearby good motel. First thing this morning, we were at his shop and before we knew it, we are on the road while I am writing this review. Albert, not only took care of the car, but he made sure we were taken care of as well! THANK YOU!!! You better believe we ll come visit regard less of whether we have car trouble or not! :)

Took My Car To Coalinga Auto Repair Due To Over Heating; Took The Car For The 2nd Time Still Kept Over Heating...Not Even 5 Minutes On The Road It Did It Again He Said It Was Gonna Be The Radiator After We Just Paid Him $850. Took My Car To Get A Diagnostic And Was Told That The Whole Engine Was Bad And Needed To Be Replaced, He Had Us Wasting On Unnecessary Work. We filed A Claim With BBB And Haven't Heard From This Mechanic Shop At All.... Worse Experience Ever! Go There With CAUTION! NOT RECOMMEND!
