German Auto Werks has phenomenal service. They regularly care for both our family cars, and I completely trust them to keep us moving! On top of that I had a recent issue they diagnosed and fixed without an appointment to get me to an out-of-town obligation the next day. Having previously taking my vehicle to the dealer for maintenance, this is a night-and-day difference. German Auto Werks are attentive, knowledgeable and I trust their quality with my family.

My first time experience was great, Shane is very knowledgeable and upfront. This shop is professional and has left me with confidence that my vehicle would be repaired properly. They have a text service for reminders, diagnosis information and completion. Servicing your car doesn't have to be stressful!

I'm giving this establishment 5 stars! Wish I could give more if possible.Reasons I was so happy to find them, they are courteous, honest & reliable! Shane was quick to get me an appointment time . I felt very comfortable leaving my car with them considering this was my first time taking my car there. I wasn't pressured to buying anything extra & Shane was very detailed when giving me information. I am truly appreciative for their good customer care ethic & am proud to call this place my new mechanic shop!

I recently moved to town with my 2009 VW Rabbit. I tend not to trust a dealership for repairs because (I feel) they want to sell me a new car and I want to keep the car I have running. I feel so grateful to have found German Auto Werks. They were honest about what they can and cannot do for my car and provided excellent customer service. I felt I could trust them and am happy to have a local mechanic to rely on.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

After spending a great deal of time and money by servicing my 2010 BMW M6 at my one and only local BMW dealer, I wanted to find an experienced master mechanic, and found Shane at German Autowerks.Shane is absolutely trustworthy, tells it like it is, as well as ridiculously knowledgeable; he has gained a customer for life..."Don't blame them... Shane and Brett have been a pleasure to work with! Super fair and honest. If you are looking for a place to take your car, look no further. They fixed up my Mini Cooper and got right back to me pretty quickly

Astronomical prices. Charging 0.9 hrs while doing a clutch job for a rear main seal that takes 10 minutes. Sachs aftermarket flywheel for $1300+ that I can get from ECS, Pelican Parts, etc for under 500. Rude and dismissive, unable to negotiate on pricing. I understand labor costs are up, but you don t need to make 200% margins on parts in order to turn a profit. Horrible experience trying to work with these guys, would absolutely not recommend.

This has truly been the best customer service experience I have ever received. My car was in need of immediate repair for a check engine light that was on (plus other necessary diagnostic services and repairs first time in 6 years!!) I was not happy with the service I was receiving from the local dealership, and chose to look elsewhere. From the very first call I placed to German Auto Werks, Shane was AMAZING. I do not throw this word around lightly, ever (especially in caps). But he is the definition of amazing from the first point of contact, throughout every timely interaction as he keeps you updated and informed, and the moment you pick up your car. I am so thankful I found this small business. They care. My car is operating like a Champ. I told Shane today, I will absolutely be a returning customer for all future annual services and any necessary repairs. Shane, thank you for your patience with me and my questions. You made it comfortable for me to ask, and I m grateful for the time you took to explain. If I could rate 10 instead of 5, I would. No doubt!!! Thank you soooo much. 2002 Boxster S with over 100,000 miles. Had major service with plenty of work done. Great customer service, great advice and solid work. Car feels much better! These guys know their stuff and take a real interest in seeing that your car gets the best treatment possible. Highly recommended.

AC Compressor went out on our XC 60 Volvo while visiting from Virginia. Got an appointment immediately and was fixed in two days. Extremely friendly. Recommend highly to anyone. AC is working great.

Hans and Shawn your German. Car is in good hands, as a woman this is your safe place you can count on honesty sorry to say you will not find it at dealership, rest assured ALL will be checked. Going anywhere else you are putting your monies in trash can and your car in hazard mode. Seriously you will not be disappointed.

These guys are the best. I was looking for a mechanic in Clovis familiar with classic Volkswagens. I have a 70 VW Beetle Sedan. Didn't have to look any further than Hans and his crew. The people at the shop are extremely friendly and I felt at home. I usually do my own work on the bug but at my age there are some things I just am not able to do anymore. I found a great repair shop at German Auto Werks. They diagnosed the problems and made the necessary repairs, and then some, at a very reasonable price. Hans made me feel right at home in the shop. I feel like I have found a mechanic I can trust to do the job correctly the first time. I will be back for sure.

Our s500 would not start. A friend suggested German Auto Werks. Since we were on vacation they diagnosed the problem and got us back on the road that same day. They were friendly and professional. I highly recommend them.

They have great service. Always explain what they do. The prices are good too. You get better service and price than the vw dealership. Only place I take my wifes jetta.

Hans, Shane or Brett. You can't go wrong with any of these guys. Extremely friendly. I won't be surprise if they will buy you lunch too when you ask. They are that nice.
