Please everyone who reads this look at the photo so you can see there lying where s the check engine light While since you couldn t let it be I will upload the photo to show NO check engine light is on and seeing how we went to a new smog place today without any work being done and it pass shows your crooks. And if you think my mom saying how can it fail without the light on is losing her cool you don t know her and she walk away before she cuss you out Like I said we re not the crooks you are for trying to steal my money bank told me you manually enter my card info in and yes I did call the cops once I did I got my money back and will be escalating this with the bbb and the state cause I know I m not the only one you ve done this too Once again to anyone who reads this stay away save your money go anywhere else. Update. They are now attempting to steal and additional 28 dollars from my account like I said a bunch of crooks and thief s stay away. Wish I could give it zero save your money go somewhere else they have no idea what there doing. First tried to charge me 70 dollars for a smog then they tested my car twice to tell me it failed when I have NO check engine light on even told from a car repair place today that if there was no check engine light on my car should of pass smog this place is running a scam stay away. First off it was mom and she didn t lose her cool she stated how can her car fail smog without her check engine light not being on something we were told from the mechanic we took it to the next day that stated if there was no check engine light on car should ve have passed smog again stay away from this place they are scam artist and running a con go somewhere else and let s not forget the fact there are no prices listed at this place will never bring my car here and hopefully other people read this and stay away too

This place is great, opens on weekends, walk-in is available and it takes less than 30 minutes. Coupon is also available onthe website.

This Smog shop has been life-saving! I've saved so many trips to the DMV and it's been absolutely wonderful! I recently got a car ready to sell, and also got another truck off Non-op after 4 years of sitting, They were able to help me with all my DMV fees, tags, registration, and smog, and I never once had to step foot into the DMV, they are very fast and professional and reasonably priced! I'm so grateful I found this place! Highly recommend!Services: Smog certification, Emissions testing, Registration renewal

My vehicle got a visual fail because they quote could not identify the numbering for the catalytic converter as well as my headers. A vehicle that has had these components for about a decade with no issue ever being smogged in the past. I'm in the automotive industry and formerly worked / ran a smog station and it's pretty clear what's happening in the station there's a bunch of guys (3) working off one guys license and they are failing cars that they can squeeze a smidge of reasonable doubt on because a vehicle does not have stock components all components on my vehicle are CARB compliant and you can Cleary see the identifying mark on the header, Catalytic converter and look them up to confirm their status you think for 60 + bucks you could have done your due diligence. But fails are important to keeping your Star certification and I will be taking this experience up with my BAR rep on Monday.:Reply to owner the vehicle ride height has not been altered and is stock I've owned the vehicle since it had 1 mile on it. And yes I was professional because having worked in the industry I know once the test is completed no matter how much I complain it won't change the results of the test and saying my name over and over doesn't change the fact that you failed the vehicle incorrectly.

The lady that does the DMV screwed up my mileage on my pink slip when she entered the information, she added an extra 0 which made my car say 160,000 miles instead of the actual mileage of 16,000.. this took me many trips to the DMV over a period of 5 months to fix, all because of HER mistake. I understand people are human, as we all make mistakes, so I haven t made a big deal about it at all. I went in there today to see if she could help me, as I am still trying to fix this whole mistake made by her error, so I could avoid going to the DMV again and she said she couldn't... ok fine, but as I'm driving away she takes a picture of my license plate... so I call her to ask her why she did that and if I had somehow offended her and she went off on me, tells me she was talking to her sister and she didn't know she had to ask my permission and that her life doesn't revolve around me, are you serious? This is how you run your business??? you screwed up doing your job!!! NO fault of mine and I have been nothing but nice about it. This took me 5 months to fix YOUR freaking mistake!!! Go take some classes on how you are supposed to treat customers and how you should act when you do screw up!!! Now her response is that I made a mistake? Why would i go there and go to dmv right after... come on girl come up with a better lie than that...this Wasnt a registration like she is saying it was a title transfer and it was almost 3 years ago, get your facts straight. oh and by the way this is all documented with the DMV that she screwed up. Take accountability for your mistake!!! I am NOT the one that imputed the info, you did, this was your job, your mistake, which cost me $$$ and a lot of time to fix!!! You told me this was the first time you did this well great, don t be the second time people, save yourself time and $$$ and just go somewhere else!!!

Total ripoff charges double what anyone else charges, hot dirty waiting room, great big guy drives your car and moves all the seats and mirrors... 2013 isn't an "older model" I find it interesting that you took down your previous reply.. the one claiming it cost more due to an additional machine being needed because it's an older vehicle..Service: Emissions testing

Everyone at All Star smog is amazing! I've never had a bad experience with them and I'm very quick to recommend everyone to this location. They are always very fast and friendly. Living in California and finding a reputable smog shop can be a major pain but these guys do an amazing job and take care of every customer. I have been coming to All Star Smog for years now and they ve never disappointed me! Mo and his crew has always treated me right, for both smog and dmw services! There has never been a dispute or any type of disagreement/tension between myself and him and his crew. Such a pleasant experience! All Star Smog and DMV took care of my entire DMV registration online so it is done! And they gave me my stickers and card on the spot. The husband and wife team were personable and helpful, and the young man employed there was respectful and mature. He actually told me that I looked pretty, in a nonchalant, innocent way. My husband called and asked for pricing and he gave him a good so we went. Yes we told him the year of the car and he still told us 41. So we went. After everything was done he told us it was $121 and then claimed he didn t tell us 41. Still had to $99Went somewhere else and they told us we were over charged especially for just a pretest.Service: Smog certification

Shady business here, I called and asked pricing for a smog. Was told $50 out the door and when my car was done the technician trying to charges me $81.50. No more supporting this shady local business. The owner will reply stop lying and false review like any other suggested reviews. I don t know any business owner would calling their customers a liar; either they re ignorant or uneducated and ready to stop doing business. You ll need to be clear about your pricing when doing business. I would recommend the locals to take your business elsewhere, where your business being appreciated.Service: Emissions testing

Been going here for 10year, had my desial truck for 5 years and only took it here, no modifications on the truck at all it is California stock. The are blue air intake on the factory turbo and they wouldn't smog it, they have been on the truck for 5 years.Edit. Correction it did pass smog no problem. The smog tech saw blue pipes on the turbo that was a repair job witch i explained and are california legal. So technically no one did there job. Repairing or replacing broken parts is not amodification.

I paid $96 for a failed smog test. I get it and don't care that I failed it but the next day I went to Smog Master by Shields and Sunnyside and PASSED the smog test and only paid $70!!! Please just go to Smog Master because it's cheaper, accurate and they're professional! Avoid this place at all cost because of the cost (pun intended).Service: Smog certification

Went to All Star Smog on Shaw and Sylmar. The one guy there failed my car for having a bolted shield around my catalytic converter, even though it was an original and still visible the guy there just didn t feel like working. Other people that I know have also said that when this one particular guy is there with no supervision he dose things very poorly or not at all and is very lazyyyyy! I have taken my car there and has been serviced by another gentleman in the past and it passed with no problems. I ended up going to tower smog and told me there was nothing wrong with my car and that the sheild was totally fine because they could still see it and it was originaI. I called two other places just to be sure to see if that was a valid reason to fail my car they also said no. My whole family used to get out vehicles serviced there and we all will not be returning!Service: Smog certification

I went to All Star Smog in the morning. Location is great, the service that was provided was very quick, and the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. Worst place ever horrible service, brought my vehicle, and they told me that it failed the smog check then the next day I took my vehicle to a different smog shop in Clovis and it passed now I m convinced that this place likes to scam people for money and they are not honest people that own the shop so please do your research before coming to this shop for any service.

I don't know why there are so many whiners writing bad reviews. They were opened on Sunday, took my SUV right in and 20 minutes later it was ready. Great job! And thanks for being open on Sunday!

Scammers do not go there they are liars and scammers they failed me cause they didn t properly do there smog correctly and took it to a different shop and it passed this place over charges and will change the price so careful if you use your card run from this place
