I recently had the pleasure of working with Lucky 7 Racing on my RX7 FD that just imported, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The team's expertise and attention to detail were evident from start to finish.Firstly, the V-Mount installation was flawless. The precision and craftsmanship that went into this modification were beyond my expectations.Additionally, converting the oil filter from Japan to the US specifications was handled seamlessly. The Lucky 7 Racing team showed their deep understanding of RX7s and commitment to ensuring every aspect of the vehicle is up to par.All the pre-existing issues with my RX7 FD were expertly diagnosed and fixed. It's clear that the mechanics at Lucky 7 Racing are not only highly skilled but also genuinely passionate about rotary engines.The communication throughout the process was exceptional. They kept me informed at every stage and took the time to explain the work being done, making sure I felt confident and informed about the changes being made.Overall, I can't recommend Lucky 7 Racing enough. If you're a rotary enthusiast, this is the place to go. Their expertise, professionalism, and genuine love for these cars set them apart from the rest. Fris and the guys were awesome from the very first day. Had a complete engine build with new Garrett Turbo sensors everything and the car runs perfect with no issues. I would suggest Lucky seven racing for your engine needs or services. Thanks again

If you want your rotary vehicle to get the proper treatment and leave knowing that your car is going to perform to standard, then Lucky 7 Racing is where you want to bring it. They worked with me who being military and stationed outside California and on deployments meant I could not always communicate in a timely manner or be there present to observe the progress. My build took many pauses and in the end, even if it looks like a project beater, Fris and the Lucky 7 team took great care of the car as well as the parts and pieces going into it. They even swapped out my incorrect lug nuts for proper ones as the AVS Model T7 wheels have very slim lug nut wells. I have had the car back from the shop since February of 2021 and I can say that I am extremely happy with the performance, effort and hard work they put into this FC. Great communication, provides options, identifies problems and solutions and they go out of their way to make sure you achieve your desired goals. I highly recommend them to anybody looking for simple jobs to complete builds.

I had my FD rebuilt by Fris and his team back in 2017 after sitting for 6 plus years. He treated my car like his own and brought it back to life after so many years of sitting. He even gave me a stock air intake duct that I was missing to complete my stock look under the hood. After 3yrs my car is still running strong with no problems. I would recommend Lucky 7 to anyone needing a rebuild.

I shipped my car here to get Haltech installed and all I can say is WOW! On top of an excellent and clean install, the calibration done by them is amazing! Also, the customer service provided by Fris was second to none. The communication throughout the entire process was spot on and his patience with me answering all my questions was very much appreciated. Very straightforward and honest! I would highly recommend Lucky 7 Racing and Fris to anyone looking to get any work done on their car.

Just picked up my Mazda RX-8 after an engine swap. She runs beautifully and is in better shape than ever. I had a bunch of extra work done and parts installed and the guys at Lucky 7 did wonderfully, exceeding my expectations even as a meticulous individual. Fris (the owner) really knows what he's doing. Great work and I'm very pleased with the result.

I took my FD to Lucky 7 for an inspection in Feb 2022 after failing an initial smog test. Fris spent over an hour going over the car very thoroughly from top to bottom, pointing out everything that needed attention and sharing his insight on the cost and effort involved in remedying each issue. I left the shop feeling extremely satisfied with the service, and was able to finally pass smog based on addressing problems Fris pointed out during the inspection. It was apparent that the Lucky 7 team are rotary experts with a ton of specialized experience. I couldn't recommend these guys enough!!

I recently had my engine rebuilt by these guys and they did a phenomenal job. Once the break in period was done I was finally able to red line it and was taken back by how much compression was regained. If you ever need work done on your rotary engine car these guys are the ones to go to. They even accommodate out of state vehicles like mine. I am based out of Utah and they were able to take the job with no issues. I was completely satisfied by their work.

If you notice most all their reviews are 5 star. I can attest to that. I had a complete rebuild. I have been completely satisfied with their work. The turn around time was impressive. They build your engine, do your work and don't make excuses. They don't need to. Everything they have done for me is top notch. I let my engine "break in" before I reviewed them. Their engines don't need to be "broken in", they are perfect from day one. The fact that they video all their rebuilds and if you want, you can stand and watch the procedure. They know they do it right. I would recommend no others before the whole crew at this shop. Everyone at this shop is professional and friendly, and I am sure, honest. I doubt very much anybody could do a better job with a rotary engine. I have been in the business for thirty years, I know good mechanics. These guys are the bomb.

I brought my car to Lucky 7 Racing Inc. on 12.08.2017 for a compression check for the engine and a diagnostic. The total cost of the services was $90. I brought my car in for a mild shaking that I was experiencing while driving the car. No check engine lights were present on my vehicle and my car was running perfectly fine. The results of the diagnostic and compression test revealed that my engine was in good health but that i needed a tune up, motor mounts and my radiator replaced, totaling $1000 in labor and parts costs. the next day after my car was serviced at Lucky 7 it cut off in the middle of the street while I was driving and would not start at all. A check engine light came on and I had the car towed back to Lucy 7 Racing Inc on 12.09.2017. Will, the gentleman that assisted me was very reluctant to recheck my car, insisting they did everything correctly and that my car was not starting because I needed to get the tune up done. I persisted that Will check the car out further and all he did was check the spark plugs and the spark wires. Will then told me, that he tried to see if they had a coil pack that they could let me use to make the car start so I would not have to have the car towed back to Los Angeles. I believe they took off my coil pack and replaced it with a damaged one in order to force me to get the tune up done at their location. Especially because they kept trying to pressure me to get the tune up done of the day of the diagnostic. I had to tow my car back home. i missed an entire day of work, my check engine light is on and my car is in worse condition than when I brought it to them.

Brought my car here for a dyno tune. They performed a thorough vehicle inspection to prepare the car for dyno. They also recommended to replace some sensors for me to set up more safety. Highly recommended shop! Great with communication too.

Would recommend this shop for almost any service, rotary or not, they are awesome!Drove all the way from Arizona so they could rebuild/tune my rx7 because all the fundamentals of a good shop are here, good communication, on time, and the work is excellent. Even sent me pictures throughout of all the work done. Highly recommended.

I've been coming to Lucky7 for the past 12 years. Over the years Fris and Willow have been nothing short of amazing. From helping me restore my rx7 to building my motor. They have guided me along the way. Rotary engines are a touchy subject especially if you have never worked on them. Trust Fris and Willow to know what they are doing with your vehicle. They built my Series 5 NA motor. They ported it, assembled it and even followed up with me after the engine had a few thousand miles to make sure it was running properly. Their work speaks for themselves. I mean google TRMNL RX7, that's the quality of their work. From basic servicing, diagnostics, and high HP mods; Lucky 7 is where you want to take your rotary vehicle. They've also done LS swapped RX7s which is a hit or miss in the rotary community but hey if that's your cup of tea then still give Fris and Willow a visit.

Best rotary shop in Cali, they will help you out and not rip you off. They treat you more like family. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who has a rotors powered car. To come cheack them out...

My turbo gaskets blew out while driving down to visit LA from the bay area, these guys were able to replace them on the same day to help me out of a bind. I highly recommend these guys not just for their turn around but their customer service and knowledge about these vehicles. A+

Fris is very helpful and will listen intently. He will answer all of your questions, whatever they may be. He even stayed after hours just so that i could drop my car off.
