I stopped by Scott's today to get the oil changed on our car and as always they did a fantastic job. I was in and out of their business within 20 minutes and you cannot get better prices anywhere else, especially for a full synthetic oil change. And if you ever have a question or an issue, just ask for Chris. He has always provided us with the best customer service possible. If you look over their website, you will find their monthly and seasonal specials, and again, their prices cannot be beat. And I have always found their service to be top notch as well.

1/31/ 2490 integra wasn t receiving power from battery. Diagnosis was cheap, and was an easy fix to replace wires and add clamps connected to battery terminal. Also was due for oils change and was cheap. Got additional work done I was putting off, fixed a leaky valve cover gasket and replaced spark plugs/ wire set the leak had saturated. I was able to talk through another recommendation with them that I was aware of prior, decided it wasn t vital and they agreed, reasonable and honest exchange with their mechanics, Chris was professional and easy to communicate with.Car fired up like new and is running smooth. Ended up getting several things done and all were reasonably priced. Did it all in about 1.5 work days and they were pretty busy.Excellent experience, will be back in the future.

IF YOU NEED MAJOR CAR REPAIRS OR ARE A WOMAN DO NOT GO HERE. At the end of June 2022 I came into Scott's Affordable Car Care due to overheating issues, I saw good reviews and was recommended by family. They let me know I had issues with my head gasket and would need to keep it to make the repairs, I picked up my car at the beginning of July 2022 and had no issues with overheating until late December 2023. I took my car to a separate shop and explained the history of my overheating issue and what was previously fixed. The mechanic took a look at my car and had questions about what exactly was done to it previously and if I had paperwork so he could read through it. It was then brought to my attention that although I spent $2,700 on this major repair my car had a major oil leak due to the valve cover gasket, front camshaft seal, front crankshaft seals, timing belt and lower timing cover gasket not being in good condition with only having 25,000 more miles on it then when repaired. The mechanic showed me the difference between two seals he took off of my car, one of the seal's rubber was so bad it no longer had any flexibility/bounce when they both should've been replaced at the same time, it either wasn't replaced like it needed to be or wasn't done correctly. I had to pay an additional $900 on top of the $2,700 I originally paid to get the seal's replaced and engine cleaned from the major oil leak. I did not receive quality work from Scott's Affordable Car Care and it shows in the condition that my car was in Dec 2023. I called Scott's Affordable Car Care Wednesday to ask to speak to a manger when I was told he was not in and had requested a call back, I had to call back three times in total between 11am and 12pm (as told by an employee) in order to get ahold of the manager/owner despite me leaving urgent call back messages with two different employees. I was finally able to get a hold of Chris, the manager/owner (I am not sure which one he really is as I was told the manager is the owner) today and I explained my situation plus even had the mechanic from the shop I just got repairs from explain what work was done and why it needed to be done again. I expressed to Chris that it makes no sense after paying $2,700, 1 year 6 months later and only driving 25,000 miles that my car would not reflect the same quality of work and need to be redone. I was told that there is nothing that could be done due to the warranty expiring and the work being taken care of already, I would like to know who would take their car back to a place that didn't give them good quality work the first time? I do not want a full refund of my money but you would think a business with good morals would do better on their part to make amends with a customer who paid good money for quality work that was not received; especially if Chris agrees the cars condition doesn't make sense after driving only 25,000 miles. It's already very difficult as a woman to not get scammed in this industry, don't give this place your money!!! I have reported them to the better business bureau / BAR and have all documents showing what was done, my review is ALL truth. PLEASE STEER CLEAR UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY GOOD MONEY FOR BAD WORK.

Not recommended. Had a friend take their car, the main issue, transmission, was ignored, OBD codes ignored, she was told noise was brakes. They did all 4 brakes for $1500. not needed and overpriced. "Affordable"? What a joke. Typical case of misleading a woman and making a quick sale instead of doing what's right for the customer. If you do go there, ALWAYS get at least 2 other quotes. Be smart. They are con artists. You've been warned!

My alternator in my 2003 Infiniti i35 went bad and they fixed it for $600 which I felt was a very fair price. The new alternator has a lifetime warranty on parts and a 1 year warranty on labor. Chris and Ross were both very polite, professional, and helpful. My family has been using this shop for years and we really trust them and recommend them. The shop was busy (right after all the storms they had about 15+ cars in at once) but they managed to get it back to me within 2 days. They also have late night drop off which really came in handy since I work during the day. Thank you for making an unpleasant experience a little better. As a woman I also appreciate their honesty and integrity, as other car shops have tried to rip me off before. Would really recommend!

These guys (and gal) give awesome customer service in a timely manner. The 3 guys always up at the front desk are always doing 20 different things but still professional, polite, and enjoyable. I can always trust my car to Scott's and know I'm not getting screwed because they are able to break down the expenses and costs if everything. Don't risk and take your car there even if you have a simple issue, because the following can possibly happen to you:They asked for $100 only to diagnosis. Then they charged another $235 to put another part that turned out also did not work! They told that the new piece is not compatible! And then asked for $500 to put a part that is compatible!!! When we asked at least put the old part they refused saying they cant since they already used the wrong part they used! This clearly shows their wrong diognosis and not taking the responsibility for it while charging. So after paying $335 we still have the same issue.

I really wanted to like this place. I have two cars and was hoping to have one stop shop for my oil changes and other repairs. Unfortunately while this place is cheap so is the service. In more than one occasion... they forgot to close the coolant cap, in another they forgot to attach all the screws, in another they forgot to put the engine cover back on. They offer free car rotations, but their platforms are always busy when you ask so just don't ask.One time they admitted fault and took 50% liability, other times they denied they had caused any issue... The cashier personnel is great and professional, but the owner is just unethical, and quality controls are mediocre. I may try the service in the future but for now I need a break because the lack of quality controls cost me more than what I saved by using this shop.A word to the owner. Please stop trying justifying yourself every time you get a bad review, focus on making your shop better, improve quality controls and take responsibility when your staff makes mistakes. Nobody is perfect, but trying to save your face when you cannot, make you loose it. I hope you will get 5 stars, but because of your poor work ethic and lack of quality controls you only get 2 from me. Hope you can hear this critique is for your own good. Happy customers come back, not so happy customers do not, and for now I am a not so happy customer.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

This was our shop to use for oil changes for the last six years up until today. The last few trips we have made have been made have been absolutely miserable. We have been turned away due to staffing even though we have an infant with us and it is not easy to get to the location. Today we were told it would would take an hour for an oil change and upon returning an hour and a half later, were told there were still several cars in front of us. They did not call to tell us they were running behind. Just very unprofessional overall and you have lost a customer for life and as many people as we can convince to not use this shop.Service: Oil change

On the same day of service completion and after the shop claimed my daughter s car had been fixed, it broke down on the freeway for the same reason. I called the shop to let them know my daughter is stuck on the side of the freeway in her car, they never returned my call even days after I notified them. They charged me hundreds of dollars and didn t even fix the problem or care to take responsibility for their mistake!! Awful experience

Gave myself an early Christmas gift by getting my crazy oil leak fixed. Found out the motor mount had been severely ruined as well. These guys finished the messiest job ahead of schedule and I really liked their energy. She sounds and feels like a whole new Betsy. Plus it ended up being cheaper than I was originally quoted. I'm super excited and I think I will be back in the future. Thanks again!!

Came at the recommendation of my friend, got an oil change. They were transparent about why it would cost what it did, and were very quick. My major issue with them was that nobody was wearing a mask. Maybe it's not an issue for most people, but I have health issues as it is.Editing (very long) post service to add that they said they could not change my filter but charged the full amount for an oil change, which I wasn't too happy about. Had to go to another shop to actually have the filter changed and because of this pay for a second oil change. I'm sure they're fine, but my brand new car 100% did not have a broken oil filter cover that was impossible to remove.

Just changed the oil on my honda, the guys are cool professionals in their field, they did everything neatly and very quickly, the price for changing the oil made me very happy, I advise everyone to go to them!

First time customer, and have to say they were very clean, friendly, and professional. Came in for an oil change, AC maintenance, and Coolant flush. Luckily the guys caught that some of my radiator hoses were cracked and needed to be replaced. Overall a positive experience worthy of 5 stars, keep up the good work!

I had recently moved here from Oregon and I needed an oil change on my car. I seen their ad on the internet which claimed he was a new business owner and a advertised price that was more than half of a quick lube place that quoted me $80. So I thought I would drive from Natomas and get it done for $29.95. Everything was perfect and the gentleman running the counter was even pleasant. The shop seems to be organised and they had me back out the door in about 20 minutes. Thanks Scotts and I'll be back for a tune up soon !!!

I found this place on accident. I was on an errand and missed a turn. I saw Scott's and remembered an oil change was on my errand list, so I decided to check it our. They were quick to assist and just happened to be running a special on the service I needed (oil change with full synthetic $20 off). They said 45 minutes so I walked around the corner to my previous destination. Before I got back they called to let me know it was ready. Under 30 minutes! I'll definitely be back.

If I could I d give this place 0/5 stars but hey, 1/5 will do.Extremely disrespectful service. Seems like most of the staff thinks they can treat any customer however they like. Really unprofessional staff (except for a few people who have always been nice to us, I won t trash people who don t deserve it). Today one of the mechanics threatened to fight my boyfriend when he asked the mechanic to stop condescendingly calling him junior . The name calling was disrespectful already (it was clear that the mechanic was angry and defensive with my boyfriend for my bf being mad at the shop for messing up a simple repair, leaving the car in worse condition than it was when brought into the shop, and telling him they d have to keep his car for an extra night when it had already stayed an extra night than expected due to them ordering the incorrect part. Again. They ve done that a few times before but we ve been too forgiving). My boyfriend was very angry but just told them he would not be bringing his car back, and left the scene pretty pissed while the shop disrespectfully laughed at him acting like they were in the right.Not very many places will agree to work on European models (esp older European models) in this area and most that do are not open on the weekends when my boyfriend has free time from work or are much busier because they are in a niche market with high demand. So unfortunately his previous car and current car were both brought back various times throughout the year when he absolutely needed work done on a schedule (he had some bad car luck and needed big fixes, so he was a loyal big paying customer adding up to 10k in total for repairs) and couldn t bring it in any place else. After what happened today we will never be going back and hope to actively discourage any other customers from going there as well because they consistently screw up repairs and consistently refuse to take responsibility for those mistakes. And on top of that they are incredibly rude to their own loyal paying customers.

Scam Alert!I brought in my 2007 Camry to get it checked out because it was overheating and I didn t have time to deal with it myself that day. After a few hours I noticed I didn t get a call with a diagnosis. I called myself about 20 mins before close with a gentleman telling me he called multiple times... doubled checked my phone to see no missed calls, brushed it off not making it a big deal.After I asked what the diagnosis was, he told me I needed a new engine because my current one was cracked and had a terrible headgasket leak.He claimed they did a block test, with readings showing through the roof , not knowing that I did an EXTENSIVE block test the day before that showed no such signs and in fact there were absolutely no fume readings.When I asked what other tests they had done, the guy could not give me a direct answer to confirm his far-fetched claim for a new engine. There were no specific diagnostics tests shown on the invoice either.Noticing that something was fishy, I took my car back home and just flushed the system the following day. After the flush, topped off coolant, and no sign of overheating. Apparently I just had an air bubble in the cooling system that caused high temp. My car has been all good since. It seems this auto shop did not even do a simple flush.Clearly my engine was fine and it was just and issue with my cooling system.If I did not call them myself, my car would have been stuck for the weekend for absolutely no reason. Everyone was already gone when I showed up and they were closing down. It was obvious they wanted to leave my car in their shop, call me Monday with some crazy story about what they found, and hope I was stupid enough to purchase a new $5000 engine and pay for the labor. Potentially even hold my car for a month.No thanks. Solid pass.Please be careful where you take your cars for mechanical repair. Ask important follow up questions. Your lack of knowledge may or may not be taken advantage of.Steer clear of this shop! Unethical businesses practices!Oh! And the $60 diagnostics that I was originally quoted, was $99 when I showed up! After my questions to the front desk guy, he waived the whole thing and gave me the keys.

The absolute worst experience ever! I noticed that I had a little stiffness in my power steering, so I took it to Scott's Affordable Car Care for service. They stated that the problem was a rack and pinion as well as a power steering pump. I permitted them to fix the car for $1,400+. When I received the car, it overheated in less than two miles. When I got it back to the shop, they called me the next morning telling me that my water pump had broken and I might have head damage. Before taking my car to Scott's Affordable Car Care, I had no issues. The reality is, they broke my car and then refused to fix it. Instead, the decided they wanted to gouge me as a customer. Beware of this place.Follow up: Scott's Affordable Car Care stated that my water pump had broken within 2 miles of me leaving the shop. After great dissatisfaction, indeed, they stated that the true problem was a cooling fan and not the water pump (the water pump had been replaced within 10k miles and typically lasts 100k miles). I proceeded to grant Scott's shop to fix the car because I had no means to get an overheating car to another shop. After paying $318 dollars for the new fan, I once again left the shop only to find that a belt went bad within another 2 miles. Is anyone seeing a common denominator?!?Obviously, it was not worth taking it back to this shop to get another response that lacks accountability, so I took my business elsewhere, and Scott will never see my business again.Now, if you're looking at these reviews, take a look at Yelp's reviews as well. Notice the consistency of Scott's demeaning behavior towards customers and lack of accountability. Then, ask yourself, is it worth doing business with someone who you are certain will never take accountability because they will claim the occurrence either had nothing to do with his shop/workers or was the fault of the customer?The choice is yours, but again, beware.

My car broke down right down the street from this place, so I had it towed there for convenience and because they had excellent reviews on another search engine. They were friendly, got me in quickly, fixed the problem, didn't try to sell me things/services I didn't need, and provided shuttle service. This is the first time I've ever been to a mechanic who didn't try to upsell me. I will definitely be back for regular maintenance.
