I give it 3 stars only based on my fishing success. I have gone a number of times during the trout stocking season that begins in November. They currently stock with fish from Jess Ranch as well as DFG. I've never had any luck which is sad because it costs $8 for car entry and $12 for fishing on the weekend which they consider starting on Friday. I hope that I can give a higher rating in the future!

This park reminds me Whittier Narrows Park, but this one is well maintain and clean. They are renovating the children's playground at this time, but overall the park is great for barbecues and family gatherings and next to it, there is a big dog park, very nice as well.

Always a beautiful park with spacious sites. The biggest downfall is that there are so many large potholes on the narrow roads, which makes it difficult to drive your rig through without bouncing around so much.

Prado Regional Park is a very good place for Camping . I can in a Rv or also there is a especial Area for Tents wich is I think is great because is very close to the lake so u can admire the lake from that area . The sites are clean the rangers are patrolling the park regularly . We been camping there since we started camping in tent s!! We love this place ..If u like fishing there is that also the shooting range is like 10 minutes from the park on the other site of the fwy its not there in the same place I never been experiencing loud neighbors bit if u like to be loud the park is so big pick one the sites that are far from other neighbors!! Be a good camper!! In general rv community is very respectful .

Spacious sites, tons of local wildlife, horse back riding, fishing, pedal boat rentals, bike trails and yet close to everything in Orange or Riverside counties. 50 amp full hook up extra long sites.

$10 per entry, $12 for fishing. Best place to fish. Beautiful, camping. One downside is too many ducks and birds.

Went to a really nice wedding in the Recreation Center of the park. Also it's $10 to enter the park. Not sure if that's per car or per person cuz I went alone but they only accept cash so be prepared for that.Restrooms: Restrooms very clean and nice.Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly. They even allowed dogs into the rec center. There were also horses walking on the trails in the park so very pet friendly.

A really great spot that needs to invest in some recuperation of the facilities! Come here for the day, or stay overnight. There is a 60-acre lake for fishing, lots of campgrounds and large green areas with tree coverage! Entry $8-10/ vehicle $1 per dog $10-12 with license $40-50 per day (up to 6 people) $125+ Picnic AreasThe campgrounds are available with hookups for RVs or prepped for tent camping with amenities. The area is definitely spacious and has a fire pit to get the full camp-feel. Playground is mostly blocked off and needing refurbishment. The swingset had two special needs swing, two infant swings and a few large swings but were also blocked off. There are two large units with many slides and obstacles but what was not blocked off by gates was needing upgrades. We were very excited to see a Spashpad Waterpark however that too was mostly not working and had much calcification corroding the metal. There were many scattered benches with various sizes and types of covering that makes for great parks days, picnics and family time outdoors. I recommend you bring a kite!Definitely has potential and will look forward to seeing improvements!

One of the best kept secrets in the area. We camp there frequently. The park offers a lot of things: fishing, frisbee golf, playground, hiking trails, soccer and ball fields, even several covered shelters for gatherings and a complete meeting room you can rent. If you tent camp there are limited spaces for individual tent camping, and large area for group tent camping. All the RV spaces in the back are large and have 30 & 50 amp service with water and sewer. They also have a dump station available. Campers have access to washers and dryers. The County and COE are in the process of upgrading the park over the next couple of years. Only bad side is the potholes in the Camping Area. Rangers and staff area friendly and helpful. Lots of wildlife around. Great place for photography. Horseback riding is available at the equestrian center next door.Playground: They are currently rebuilding the playground equipment and splash pad.Restrooms: Restrooms throughout the park. Restrooms and showers are in the campground.Dog-friendliness: While dogs need to be on a leash, there is plenty of room.

I passed by this park many times before moving to Orlando but never went inside. Having just moved back to Chino from Orlando, I missed the water so decided to visit this park for the first time this morning and was totally blown away. If not for the mountains in the background, one my think this is in Florida. There were many beautiful birds today.

My favorite park. it's peaceful and not crowded. I like it so much I'd paid for the yearly parking. to me it is one of the best fishing spot around.

Quite a "LOT" of visitors in the Park every weekend. This is our 3rd visit. The first two were to look for the resident BALD EAGLES. This 3rd visit is specifically to "FISH." Sadly, fish got "smarter" than humans, haha. Some caught their prized fish (catfish, bass). We did not - zero .We also noticed a good number of RVs, parked at a distance. Occupants are outside, enjoying their barbequed food with their companies/friends.The Park has a lot of picnic tables scattered throughout. Just choose which area you want to hang out. I believe you can also hold a Picnic Party here. We found two or three big groups of people gathered together and enjoying their food, music, dances, and other social activities.Playground: Concentrated in one area only.Restrooms: Multiple bathrooms throughout the Park.Dog-friendliness: Dog-friendly. The unleashed ones are very disciplined to stay close with their owners. Either one are encouraged to pick up their pet's excrement in consideration of the Park's policy, other visitors, and the wildlife who might risk eating it.Picnic area: A lot of picnic areas. Some are covered, some are open, and some are close by the lake.

This park is beautiful. The landscaping is very nice. There's a number of sites for RVs and tent camping. The staff are friendly and pleasant. The lake has fish and wonderful wildlife. Fishing is not included, and you pay by blocks of days. It could add up if you like to fish. The problem with this park is that there are ants. Lots of ants. So be prepared to combat them if you are going to camp here.

It's always a beautiful time here! Had a family reunion and everyone enjoyed themselves. The park let us have a taco caterer. We have fished here. We also rode the pedal boats. Very fun time making memories with the family. Take your own hand soap, it's not provided.

It's $10 to enter this large park and it isn't particularly noteworthy. I found the scenery to be underwhelming, but it does have a decent play area for kids. I did see many people fishing, so it may be worth visiting for that. Otherwise, I've been to free public parks that are better than Prado.

It's a wonderful RV Park with extremely hard working and helpful Park employees. I see a lot of people catching fish and having a really great time. An amazing amount of wildlife there's a lot of ground squirrels and chipmunks which has brought in Hawks eagles falcons owls that are there feed on the squirrels. Between pelicans and ducks and Canadian geese it's a bird lovers paradise. It's shameful the park has let it sprinklers get in such disrepair I remember the park used to be like a golf course now it's more like a desert in the camping area. But they're under new management and their promising to get the sprinklers fixed and do some grass seeding next spring. Back when RV Park was built it was built with Half of the RV sites sewer water and electricity hookups on the wrong side of where you park your RV very inconvenient hopefully someday they'll fix that. It would also be nice if they have a small fence in area with your small dogs.

First time there with my family. I give it a 4 star. Camping was great, clean area. We paddle boat riding, lil fishing, walked around, took the kids to the playground area and water area. Four star ratings because the restrooms&showers need to be updated and so does the playground but other than that I will go back.Dog-friendliness: My dog was happy and relaxedPicnic area: Picnic area and table Clean but lots of ants on the tables before we got there. Table covers makes a difference

They need to have a carp derby. There's way too many in the lake, making it impossible for the game fish to thrive. If nothing is done about the carp population, all other species will die off. Leaving the public with a lake full of trash fish. That will be a shame...

Attended the Boy Scouts campfire there for one night. Close and convenient. But the bathroom condition is really bad and one faucet is leaking. Looks like nobody cares about that.

Hidden little gem. Came here for the first time. This place is great for a little getaway close to home! Spacious RV sites with full hook ups. Had a great long weekend with the family. Coming again soon!

Excellent place to go fishing! Used bonito fish as bait and got pretty lucky with the catfish. There were a couple of huge carps there as well, but they didn't seem as interested in the bonito. Would recommend corn for those.

The park itself is pretty nice. Probably best suited if you like to fish. Not a whole lot of trails to walk. One big negative - the restrooms were disgusting, looked like they had not been cleaned in a very long time. Gross!Restrooms: Absolutely disgusting and not well maintained.Dog-friendliness: You can bring your dog, juat make sure to keep them on a leash.

I give them 1 star the only good thing about this place is the sight seeing, and the other wildlife, but I been here 3 weekends in a row paying $22 ($10 for parking, $12 for fishing) and never caught a fish and before anyone says it the bait just know I had everything, I had power bait, salmon eggs, garlic scent, turbo/trout, etc . I even have every lures from Thomas, to Panther Martins, and yo-Zuri and many more. Still nothing, not even a numble. So if you could go fishing anywhere I ll recommend it, because even someone else who was there on last Thursday when they refilled even said they only caught 1 fish, and they didn t release 600 lbs like they re supposed to so either someone feeding these fish or they re not stocking enough like they re supposed to.

This is a deceptively nice little spot in an area that I would not have normally looked for a campground. Most all of the spots have plenty of shade and even on hot days the breeze picks up in the afternoon making it feel much cooler than the thermometer shows. There is tons of space to walk, bike or let the kids run and play. There is not much real hiking, but plenty of grass, paths and open areas. The campground and day use areas were clean when we were here. However, the lake was pretty gross. There was a good amount of trash and beer cans discarded along the water's edge. There is also a major algae and bacteria bloom in the lake. Not that I blame the park for this, but the water is green and slimy. The lake looked nice viewed sitting at our campsite, not so much close up.If you're looking for camping that's a quick getaway, then this is an awesome spot. If your highlight is sitting at the edge of the lake, I might look elsewhere.
