Blew 2 tires on the trailer after 50 miles terrible experience make sure you check the tires before you pick up the trailer. Staff was very helpful though

Ari was fantastic. He was so helpful and informative. He was comical and made a crummy job not so bad. No one likes renting a uhaul or moving, but he made the experience great! He needs a raise! #holdontothatemployeeUhaul location in Chico off Skyway/Park Ave.

Had a truck reserved since yesterday went in today computers are down no one knows how to work any paperwork. I guess it's all done electronically so they can't help us. They recommended using the phone app which kept canceling and returning us and giving us an error code so no work today for you today. U all u haul A huals.

I had made an appointment with the Durham U-Haul and the day of I was supposed to pick up this location called me stating uhaul had transfered the van to this location. So I called the original people I had booked with (in Durham) and they stated my rental was still available there at their location in Durham. It's sad that this location has to make attempt to steal business from a smaller one. Not good business at all!

All of the guys here were super helpful, but Dan in particular. We had an issue with our car that prevented us from getting our trailer without having a dealership install a part. Dan was helpful changing our reservation, allowing our friend to collect the trailer to get it loaded and get us out of town on schedule. It could have been a lot worse and cost us another day. We have used several Uhauls in Chico over the years as our son was a student there, and this was our best experience yet.

Excellent service and efficient process. Drop off was no-hassle and everyone was reasonable, friendly and professional. Get there early and if there is a line be prepared to wait. They take their time with each customer which is appreciated. They also didn't hesitate to use the staff on hand to process through the line even though the three desk positions are each dedicated to different types of transactions. Their focus on customer service is evident.

Absolutely terrible. Reserved truck for 10 the day before. Had confirmation number. After waiting one hour at the uhaul, they told us they had no record of our reservation. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

My daughter rented a truck from Chico Uhaul this past weekend so that she could move. While we were standing in line waiting to be helped the customer in front of us and the older man behind the counter started laughing at and making fun of us because we were wearing masks. I have an elderly immuno compromised mother and haven't been able to see her in over 3 months. So we do our part in maybe having this shelter in place come to an end sooner. If we had been able to find another rental place we would have left. But we were stuck with no options. When he was done with that customer he asked if he could help us but we told him we would wait for for someone else to help us. Someone who was more respectful. The young man who helped us very nice although he wasn't wearing a mask either. No one in the store was! Needless to say if this is how uhaul treats their customers, I will never come back.

Uhaul is incompetent and unorganized. We received confirmation that our RESERVED truck would be available for pick up any time after 9:30, when we arrived at 11, they had no trucks in our size, nor did they offer any other option to make up for their incompetance. The staff is rude and does not care what so ever. They had the nerve to tell us we would need yo drive all the way to Yuba City for a truck that they GARUNTEED would be in Chico. Absolutely horrible business practices.

Good luck on phone, you will never get them. Only the call center and the guys never return the call. Time for loading and unloading 9:00a.m. to 5:00pm. The mobile dock is steep (located behind the building), tough to get things out of your trailer unless it's only pallets or their uboxes. They are fast though. Parking along the street for around 3 trucks. You got groceries store, Starbucks, ice cream parlor, and fast food chains across the freeway 1 mile go take a 15 mins walk.

The guys at U-Haul moving and storage on Country Drive in Chico did me right. They helped me through a catastrophic failed with my own trailer. I was up the creek without a canoe ! They save me from major problems by helping load my own trailer ( loaded) into a u-haul trailer and I was back on the road. It saved me from costly away from home repairs and overnight delay. I can't say enough.Thank you you saved my butt !!!

Absolutely do not use Chico U-haul. I reserved a 6x12 trailer about a month in advance, just to find out 2 days before the scheduled pickup that they don't have one, and the closest one is a 3 hour round trip away. They will not compensate for any time off or fuel we are going to have to use to go pick it up. This is just wrong.

DO NOT RENT FROM UHAUL CHICO if you require a firm date, time, and place reservation. U-Haul just called me at 5:30pm the day before my next-day 8am pickup of a confirmed 26' truck reservation for a cross-country move to tell me that my truck would be available tomorrow for pickup 5 HOURS/254 MILES away in Eureka, CA. Imagine having your life overturned--an already scheduled move-out, drive halfway across the country, hotel reservations, appointments to complete a home purchase, and move-in. It's costing me an additional $1200 more to rent from an alternative company at the last minute to hold to schedule & not have our lives turned upside down for the next 2 weeks.

Great place to stop for a rest while on your travels. Ask to see the cleaning cart or the air fill hose while you wait, super fun times. Pulled my kids out of school so we could go 2 days in a row. #winningatparenting

Ordered a hitch from the local U-HAUL, sent by mail, they sent the wrong part, and told us we had to ship it back ourselves. They didn't seen to know, or care about finding a solution for us. They just went back and forth saying it was the right part, but somehow at the same time it was the wrong part number in their system. Told us to call corporate. Very displeased with helping those who don't know what to do guess they didn't either.

My mom passed away in Oroville and had a storage @ Chico Uhaul. She was a horder with lots of junk. I rented a 10' truck that I had to keep for 3 days. On the 3rd day I knew I was gonna go over time and called the uhaul and was told "as long as u bring it back by this evening, we won't charge u overtime." Not only did they charge me for another FULL day, they charged me $69/day + $15 in fuel.I didn't know any of this until I checked my bank statement. They never called me.I called cust. svc. Who was to have the Mgr call me..they never did.So no more uhaul.

Its was cheap and easy but when it comes down to getting my deposit back I STILL HAVENT GOTTEN IT BACK!!!! They told me to call coop. That they will send me a check. Well I called the cooperate office and they told me it could take up to 3 weeks. Its been a month still no check cooperate. Its bs Thank you.

Reserved a truck rental for noon. When we got here there were two customers before us. We waited 45 minutes before anyone could attend to us. Pretty frustrating.

This location doesn't make sure to clean the equipment or even service mechanical problems. Worst Uhaul location i have ever had the displeasure of doing business with.The truck we where given to make 2 state move with was filthy had soda all over the cab and trash in it and had front wheel seals that where leaking so bad the truck should have been taken out of service. We will be calling Ca. DOT NEXT.

Rented a truck to move this weekend. The truck mileage and contract mileage didn't match, say I already drove 100+ milea before leaving the lot. They got me a different truck to right the situation. Upon return they were understanding that in packing the truck we accidently broke the little zip tie that held the hand truck even though it hadn't been used. He didn't charge me for it thankfully.

Pushed the installation date back without my permission or letting me know what's happening. After getting the hitch installed, the power lift gate didn't work. So, they messed up on the wiring pretty hard...
