Wonderful place to get your vehicle repaired. We took in our '06 GMC Diesel to have some work done. While there a small accident happened to the truck. The owner took care of all of the expenses to have some body work done. The total experience was fantastic. We even took our gas truck to be serviced there after all that. Will be bringing our trucks back for more when the time comes. Highly recommend! Great owner. Great customer service.

They recommended and installed a Mishimotocoolant filter in a Ford 6.0 diesel. When I changed the filter it was full of sand. Good job guys! Not you Ford, you suck. I can t wait to see what the oil cooler looks like after all that junk in the cooling system.

Sean...... and his team have taken care of me from the moment I called them in the little bit of issues I ve had with my F350. Definitely highly recommend these guys they know exactly what they re doing and they take care of you. If I had a better picture of my truck, I would post it but these guys are amazing. Shawn is a great mechanic. We have trusted him with our truck for 2 years on long trips with a 26 fr RV. Very honest and knowledgeable very professional. 1/3 less than the competition in price. Highly recommend!

Sean and his team are great. After taking my truck to a different place and having a terrible experience, I called Sean and immediately knew I was in good hands. No fluff they assessed the issues that needed to be addressed and communicated with me the route we needed to take. Telling me that some parts I wanted to be replaced didn't need to be instead of just doing it and taking my $$. The honesty and communication when working with a mechanic is just as important as the guys behind the wrenches. Roberts Automotive will be the only shop that touches my old girl!

We have been bringing our cars to Sean for years and can not recommend him more! It s hard to find a trust worthy mechanic that isn t trying to upsell you on every little part, but it has never once felt like that. He truly cares for your safety and what will keep your car running the longest. And he s quick! Best shop in town

The front end on my f150 was shaking violently so I called Sean and he told me to bring it on by. Right then and there they gave it diagnosis and found not only were my control arms shot and needing replacement but that I was running rich and burning more fuel than I needed. Couple days later after struggling with rusted parts they were able to get me back up moving. I depend on my truck for work and Sean and his guys were life savers in this instance. Super pleasurable to communicate with and understanding the issues and what needed to be resolved. I ll definitely take my vehicles back to them in the future, if needed. Thanks you guys!!!

I first heard of Robert's Automotive when I was looking on the Bulletproof Diesel website and saw they were a preferred installer. After seeing all the positive reviews I decided to call and make an appointment for my 2006 F250 6.0. Sean was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the process and what my options were. Unfortunately, I needed more work than just "bullet proofing", but Sean was upfront about costs and patiently walked me through everything they were doing.I cannot be happier with work performed by Robert's Automotive. All of the mechanics are extremely professional and courteous. My pickup runs great and gets better mileage than it ever has. Next time I need work done on my diesel I will definitely be going back to Robert's Automotive!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Recently brought in my 5.9 Cummins for service here. Sean and his team brought my truck back to life and their commitment to customer service was over the top. I would highly recommend this business for anything truck related. I will be taking my vehicle here as long as I live in Chico and nowhere else.

If you want to be treated right and honest, you need to be supporting this wonderful small businesses, that we are lucky to have right here in Chico. After months of dealing with the worst automotive care in chico (chuck pattersons) I went to Roberts! They had my truck fixed in 2 days, WASHED and the repair done at a fraction of what Chuck Pattersons quoted.I feel 100% at ease using Roberts Automotive. Now I will be back on the road taking my horses to go for a ride.

After reading favorable reviews for this business, I contacted them to diagnose by 2012 Ford F250 6.7L. They are indeed very busy which is always a good indication of a reputable business. The business personal and owner were very honest and communicated well about my vehicle. Because of the specific need for my vehicle it was recommended I seek someone specializing in computers for the 6.7L truck and I was given a referral and not charged for evaluating my vehicle. Many mechanics would have charged me for an evaluation and diagnosis but Sean was very kind and obviously runs a business based on ethics verses just making a dollar. Thank you to Roberts Automotive and I definitely recommend this business for your auto repair needs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Excellent service! I highly recommend Robert s Automotive! Knowledgeable and upfront with concerns on our Dodge 3500! In addition, they told us about recalls that were on the list and needed to be taken care of that we were not aware of!

These guys were awesome! They got me in on the spot today to fix a fuel pressure issue on my van. They took my concerns seriously and explained things well, which is always nice. Also the staff were very friendly, felt right at home, highly recommend!

Brought my Ford Super Duty in for the dreaded head gasket leak. They did a great job and despite my tendency to cut corners he held to higher standards to ensure I get a top notch repair job that will ensure perfect reliability out of the truck which it did. Can t say enough about the quality and honesty of this shop. I would recommend it to anyone with a 6.0 Ford Super Duty.

This is by far the best automotive shop I have ever used, Robert and all of his employees are professional, knowledgeable, and more importantly provided me with the best customer service I have ever experienced. I cannot express this enough, they were fast on getting parts, fast on getting my vehicle repaired, and there knowledge on diesel engines is priceless. Brought my 2015 F350 in for power loss amongst other issues. Sean and the crew did the best once over on the whole truck I have ever experienced. Gave me multiple options on what should be done now, and what will need to be done in the future. Excellent service, timely, and I will definitely be back.

Sean and his crew are the best at what they do...they truly are the experts at anything and everything diesel. I just had some preventative work done on my 6.7. I spent a little now to save myself a lot later! Dedicated, dependable & honest!In the paradise fire we lost our mechanic of 20+years. Starting over with Sean, he s become our Go to guy ! Sean has not once made me feel intimidated when I have no idea what he s explaining to me about my truck! Sean is patient, fair & loyal to his customers.I d recommend Roberts Automotive in a heartbeat!

Incredible service and affordable prices. Sean is so personable, communicative, and goes the extra mile to do a great job. He fixed a power steering leak on my 2004 Silverado 2500HD Duramax and he not only fixed the leak but cleaned all over where the leak had occurred. He even taped up and secured some loose wiring in my engine bay totally unrelated to the original job. Thanks so much Sean!

Sean has been working on 3 of my trucks for years, he's the only one in Chico I have work on my 7.3 Ford. I really don't trust any other Diesel mechanics in Chico more than him. He's thorough and honest, gets the job done right the first time.

Had the shop install new steering linkage, track bar, exhaust manifold, turbo, and injectors in my new to me but old truck (all of it aftermarket).The job ended up ballooning in hours more than expected but we came to an agreement that worked for both of us. I came up more than I would have liked, and the shop came down more than they would have liked to make it work on both ends. They were friendly the whole time even though I get the feeling both of us are a little disappointed in how it turned out (The truck turned out good, just the situation itself). While I am not necessarily happy with the outcome overall, I am satisfied that it was fair.I can't really fault the shop... sometimes things just don't go well and I think how a shop behaves when things go wrong is far more valuable to a consumer than when everything goes well. So they still get 5 stars from me for making the effort to be fair in a less than ideal situation.

I have had Sean work on a number of my vehicles. Just had him lower my 2017 Escalade. I feel he is better than going to the Dealership. Very honest, high integrity and skill level. Not met a better mechanic in all of Chico that's for sure. Highly recommend him.

Bought a used 2003 diesel truck and wanted to have a few things done to it plus just get it up on a rack and have it checked out. Called Robert's Automotive from a Google search. Spoke to Sean, the owner on a Wednesday and made an appointment for the following Tuesday because it fit into my schedule. I pulled up Tuesday morning, Sean walked out of the garage before I was even all of the way out of my truck. He extended his hand and addressed me by my name without consulting anything. I found this impressive for some reason. Anyway, he listened to what I wanted, made some suggestions of his own and I left. I went back at the end of the day, he had the truck on the rack, waiting, so he could walk me through everything. He found a few issues and pointed them out and told me what he thought about them as far as their urgency. The guy is a genuine straight-shooter, there's no b.s. and he didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. He prioritized the stuff he thought I should do and staged it out to work within my budget.I've dealt with a lot of mechanics in my life and know a good one when I find him. Sean is the real deal. Oh, and if you need a Ford 6.0 bullet-proofed, he's your guy

I had an issue with the intake on my Duramax Diesel that affected smog. I took it in and saw Sean. He and his partner were eager to help me and they were super polite. They took time out of their day (and lunch) to help solve the problem I was having. This is the definition of good customer service. They could have said, Sorry Buddy, can t help ya. , but they didn t. They cared. Any and all of my future diesel needs will be taken here. Thanks guys.

Straight shooting shop. Direct with repair needs, pricing, and accountable. Sean backs up his work and is all about making sure your vehicle is Safe & Mechanically Sound, in that order, and that if there are other issues that aren't in your budget at the time, he will do the repairs in the order of their priority to insure that your vehicle will serve you as long as possible. He is honest, straight forward, and runs a respectable and clean shop, will provide transportation locally when it is needed, and educates customers to prevent vehicle problems in the future. If you want it straight when you have a vehicle issue, you can't find a better place to do business with.
