If it s busy, the sandwiches are worth the wait! Once you get your order in, the food comes out really fast. I loved the horseradish sauce on my roast beef sandwich on sourdough. I m gonna be thinking about this sandwich when I m back home.Also, if you re not from the area, a half sandwich isn t like a Jersey half roll. A full is a regular sized sandwich. The half was filling tho because the roll is so good.

Whipped into Chico because I needed to see a Pilgrim about this and that. This nitwits brainwaves only work part time, causing my Slamtealer Crossway to malfunction, setting off a chain of events that only Rod Serling could explain. Well, with the aide of a Spangler's shaft I was able to get him to correct any issues going forward, and it didn't leave any bruises.After fueling up the Ram I asked the guy at the station where's the best place to eat...without hesitantly he spurts out Spiteri's Catering...it the best deli in the world! And, with a recommendation like that...I had to go. It was 5 stars

Classic Italian style deli with counter service. The sandwiches are piled high with excellent filling the meat and cheese is top-notch they must have 30 different side salads to go with your lunch all for a very reasonable price! Not to be missed.

Local sweet spot for sandwiches and side dishes. I've been missing out on this deli gem for years living in chico. But better late than never. They will always be there to serve you quality and fresh sandwiches. You can choose between sliced or a roll bread with options of type of breading. Go grab yourself one instead of subway etc. You won't regret.

Food decent but tastes like made it at home so why pay tons more for average plain food. Really bad customer service and even gave us the wrong sandwiches. Go somewhere else if want sandwiches

What a fantastic deli! The moment we opened the front door the smell of fresh veggies slapped us right in the face. The menu is easy to understand and really straightforward; pick your meat, cheese, bread, and condiments. The chip selection is vast and they also have a whole bunch of other side dishes that you can order if you aren t feeling the chips. Fountain drinks are self-serve, but the beer is not (for obvious reason).I ended up ordering a turkey and ham on wheat with pepper jack. The sandwich was absolutely to die for. Remember the fresh ingredients I mentioned at the beginning of my review? The meat, the cheese, and the veggies were all perfect. I came in assuming that they would skimp on the meat, like so many other sandwich shops, so I ordered two meats. I wouldn t really call it a mistake, because I was delighted, but they put more than enough meat on their sandwiches so ordering the second meat wasn t really necessary. The meat and cheese were both so flavorful and the lettuce had the perfect crunch; the lettuce was also shredded, which I prefer on my sandwiches.My kids got the tuna on wheat with provolone and absolutely destroyed it. They said that the tuna was really good. They also ordered sides of the bacon mac & cheese and it was phenomenal. I m pretty sure I actually ended up eating the majority of the mac myself because it was that good.I highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for a killer sandwich in the Chico area.

My first visit here today. What a delightful little oasis this is. The offerings are extensive and as fresh as can be, I m so happy my daughter and her work mates turned me onto this place. I will definitely be back and the outdoor dining is a wonderful addition.

Its has wonderful outside seating with plenty of room between the tables--and this is true of the actual indoor dining room as well. Its very clean and the service was excellent--upbeat and cheerful. And the menu has a vast array of meats, cheeses, breads, AND side dishes such as macaroni salad, different pasta and potatoe salads, and many other types of cold salads. And hey, who deosnt love a deli that offers a meatball sandwhich?!

Spiteri's is AWESOME! Their sandwiches and customizable and SOO GOOD! Yesterday was my 1st time there & I Ordered a customized Pepper jack pastrami concoction and it was FANTASTIC!The sandwich's are Big! And Stacked with ingredients! I got a "whole" and I could only eat half- I saved the rest for dinner and it was even better because all of the sauce soaked in.The owner is Super nice!! She works harder than anyone there- her passion is unmatched I DEFINITELY recommend Spiteri's for your deli cravings! & They don't only have Sammy's, they have all kinds of sides and fresh eats as well!

I've been back in Chico for almost a year now, after a 27 year absence. Spiteri's may be under new ownership (at least since I've been gone), but the food, atmosphere, and service are still amazing! I had a 3 meat on an onion roll, girlfriend had hot pastrami on sourdough, kid had the lasagna, and mom-in-law had clam chowder. Everything was awesome! All of the salads in the case looked fresh and appetizing. They even have the GOOD ice! We'll be back. Nichole and her crew are honoring Frank's legacy by doing what he always did best: serve great food at a reasonable price.

Went back after being away for several years. Everyone making sandwiches were using dirty communal pens and order pads, not washing their hands afterwards, not using gloves when contacting food, and one person had a grimy exposed band aid on her hand, also with no gloves on. Absolutely vile.

Best sandwiches around and for a great price. If you like dill pickles, you have to try the dill pickle pasta salad, amazing!! You definitely won't be disappointed with your food or service here. Only caution is, if you go during any normal lunch times it is packed so just be prepared.

Hot pastrami sandwiches simply do not get any better than what this place has to offer. The staff is always helpful. The place is always clean. Even when it's busy, the wait time is pretty minimal. They have different soups every day. I've had the potato bacon, broccoli cheddar, and the clam chowder.... all three were delicious. I appreciate how the soup is pretty thick and sustaining, instead of ending up hungry an hour later. This is a place that I have come to crave regularly. They also don't cater to a particular, trendy crowd. Anyone who appreciates good sandwiches and soups should definitely come here.

Wonderful little deli. I heard Spiteri's has the best sandwiches in town and had to check it out. The food was delicious and a lot cheaper than expected. Our experience was very pleasant and we will definitely be going back.

Excellent sandwich! I highly recommend the smoked turkey on Onion Roll, with smoked cheddar! It is to die for! Also we got the potato salad, it was Texas style. And very good! Could have used a little bacon LOL loved it! Will be back!

Tucked away behind a Napa auto parts store. This places serves the Best sandwiches!! They also have a outstanding menu as well. A must when in Chico.

Love this place the food and prices are the best in town. We are regulars and always look forward to our visit until recently. Unfortunately there is an employee who has expressed a poor attitude on several occasions. A gal who has answered the phone and taken our order several times seems to not want to cut a sandwich more than once!LOL. She does not reflect well on such a great group of co workers. Still best joint in town.

It's been years since my last visit. 8 was really excited to be back. I got my garlic turkey and ham on a dutch crunch......fantastic.. and the egg salad tastes like my mom's. The staff was friendly. We will be back again and again. Sorry no pics. I was all about eating. Go check em out..
