I had a great experience. I had an appointment at 8:45am and was out by 9:10am. Friendly owner and staff. Quickest spot in Chico for smog check.

I've been going here for over five years. Lupe the owner and his staff are helpful and friendly. The prices are very reasonable and he makes appointments to keep customer wait times short.

THANK YOU, smog inspector Great place for getting a smog .scheduled apt only. In and out in 30 min. Hassel free and fair on the pocket . You don't leave feeling like you have just been taken advantage of. Love this place. will only come here from now on, the best one I know of in chico. I needed a smog inspection done on my car and the staff was not only able to fit me in the same day I called but were very polite and efficient in their work. Pricing for their service seem very fair.

Very happy with the service. I had to change my appointment last minute on a Friday. I didn't expect to get another appointment until the following week. They were very understanding and accommodating. They squeezed me in on Saturday. I was in and done with a passed smog certificate in hand, in less than 30 min. The tech even went over the smog test results and explained it all.I would 100% recommend going to Smog Inspector.

Walked in without an appointment and was done within 30 min or so! Loved to see a female team running the whole show from the front desk to the mechanics! Absolutely pleasant and easy experience. Highly recommend!

great place and incredibly fast!! i just walked in with no prior notice...there were two people there having work done and they took my car and smogged it!! i was in the office waiting maybe 15 minutes!! And the receptionist so very friendly!! Family run business... and good people in my opinion.Went there a second time for slogging and still same friendly people behind the counter AND I was in and out of there in 15 minutes and there was one car ahead of me. Pretty darn quick.

Great place to get a smog! My go-to smog place was booked out for a couple weeks. Isabella answered and was able to get me in the next morning. I was running about 10 mins late and even though they were super busy, Lupe said it wasn't a problem and they were going to help me out. Ivon seemed to really know cars. To top it off, they were fast and have very fair pricing! I highly recommend and will be back!

Lupe, the Smog Inspector is the man to go to for your biennial smog certificate. Lupe is proficiently bilingual in English and Espanol. His prices are fair and staff are friendly. Recommended by Dan at Chico Car Care and others, I'm sure.

Spent the last 2 months elbows deep in my car and getting so many miles in working on Smog. Learned so much. Grateful for the challenge and so stoked to have Passed Smog today @ Smog Inspector. Lupe helped me on more then one occasion and was nothing short of a complete gentlemen with every question. If anyone needs a place to get there checks done. Definitely go see Lupe on Park Ave.

Pretty straightforward process, get an appointment and show up. They started the smog right on the scheduled appointment time. It didn't take too long and charged $50 for the smog certificate. They send the results to DMV, and reminded me that I needed to take care of my car registration within 90 days or the smog results are invalidated.Update: I took my 1980 Toyota truck to get smogged, first I appreciate that they work with the older vehicles as many smog shops don't. Second, while the truck didn't pass, they didn't charge me anything and told me exactly what I needed to do to get my truck into a position of passing the smog test, I really appreciated that part-free diagnosis!

Made an appointment the day before. I was there a couple minutes early. They wrote me up and got my vehicle in the shop right away. They had the smog done in about 15-20 minutes. Great price and great service!

Had a great experience here on a Friday, I came in and was in and out in 15 minutes. The lady at the desk was super nice and the guy who did the smog was happy for the business. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this business if you need a smog.

Very poor experience. I had an admittely tricky situation smogging an RV with a replaced catalytic converter. The technician was unwilling to let me explain and spent an uncomfortable 15 minutes with a raised voice explaining my ignorance while stating inaccurate information. And just so you don't think he was correct, I came in with the supporting information from the state smog check referee showing that this was the correct cat for my RV. Further, I talked with the owner at NorCal Auto, who is a certified smog trainer. He also confirmed I have the correct cat, and that's where I'll take the RV next.Service: Smog certification

I was redirected here when my vehicle was too old for other smog shops. I checked in early and my inspection only took 20-25 minutes (1998 Toyota 4 runner). The staff was kind and direct. I will definitely keep going back.

I go here every other year I usually get the young guy with the tattoos and he's cool. For some reason this year the older guy who usually works the back was at the front desk. A white woman was in line before me, and he immediately wrote her in. I should note beforehand that I've been here when it was full of people and the young guy always got me in. This time the guy immediately stated they were booked up and busy. I did not say anything about seeing it busier or anything I just left. (IamBlack).Editing after response.Please read responses. They are very condescending and unprofessional. When customers present the facts of their experiences that is all they are stating. That is what this medium is for. So, to state someone is trying to make themselves feel better by stating how they were treated as a person of color in itself proves how they truly feel. (Thebusiness ownerwillsayanything)....

Some other smog-shop (who couldn't do same day smog test) referred me here. I showed up 30 minutes early from my 9:00am same day appointment. The worker was courteous and professional. They took me in at around 8:45, I was out of there less than 20 minutes later. Thank you
