Mark and Val were super helpful and kind. I did not feel pressured into doing more work than necessary. They were knowledgable and explained the purpose of each repair. They took care of my car in a timely manner and communicated the whole way through. Mark was very professional and made sure I left without any doubts! Thank you.

Mark is a great manager and works very hard. He works more than one job and still works very hard and enthusiastic with lots of positive energy. The building is clean and the wait time is little. They will get you helped out with your vehicle fast and precisely.

Walked in for an oil change around 2pm and they said it would be at least a couple hours before they can work on my car because they had other cars ahead of me, which I completely understand since that I didn t have an appointment.As I m sitting in the waiting room, it s about 2:40pm and Mark and his team were able to get my car in sooner. All thanks to the other customer who had ordered the incorrect tire size for their vehicle. Next thing you know, my car is done with the oil change and I was out of there in no time.Mark and his team were highly professional and yet very friendly. I will be bringing all of my cars here (even my Honda Type R) for now on. I will definitely recommend Pepboy s to all of my friends and family because I can trust Mark and his team to always take care of our needs.

Well, I made an appointment for a simple oil change and tire rotation at the Chico Pep Boys figuring that by having an appointment it would reduce wait time. I dropped my truck off a few minutes early and got checked in. I was told it would take an hour so we went and had breakfast and came back an hour later. Nothing had been touched on my truck other than the oil being drained. As I kept checking to see the progress, another 45 minutes had went by with not a single human touching my truck. And note that it's raining heavily so we can't just go walk somewhere to kill some time. So, it's been 2 hours by now and my truck is done. Oh wait, the gentleman that changed the oil said he had spilled some oil un the undercarriage and tried to clean it up as good as he could. I asked if he had already rotated the tires and he said they did not get a chance to rotate the tires. So the lady at the counter says that my truck ready but they didn't get a chance to rotate the tires. I could have just went somewhere else for just an oil change, I chose Pep Boys specifically because it is a tire place and could rotate the tires! And to top this all off they charged me more than I paid last time I was in there when they did the exact same service WITH a tire rotation! I will never step foot in a Pep boys again and will most definitely not recommend them to anyone!

As someone who is not from this area I was definitely nervous about getting my car back all in the same day given that the vehicle has suffered wire damage to the headlights. I called the Chico Pep Boys on Saturday and was able to get an appointment the next day. When I went in, I was greeted kindly by Valerie and promptly instructed on what the mechanics were going to do and an estimated time frame. During the inspection there appeared to be more damage than expected and Valeria and a mechanic both informed me about the issues and the new time frame and costs. I desperately needed the car back at the end of the day and they ensured me that they would get the job completed before the day ended. The mechanics worked on my car and completed the tasks 10 minutes after closing and I am so thankful for the employees going above and beyond to make sure I got my car back the same day. I was pleasantly surprised by the kindness and effort that the Pep Boys employees gave my car and would most definitely return here again for any future car maintenance.

Used to be able to buy stuff here. Seems like they want to focus on service only now and they don't have shelves with merchandise. At least I got a battery and wipers but I couldn't get battery terminal grease. Maybe only come here if you need auto service and not parts as it was really slow to get parts sold to us.

Mark assisted my son and me with professionalism, expert knowledge and a compassion that is rare. He took the time to assist and educate my son about how to change sparkplugs and then inspected my sons work. He was positive and encouraging to my son, 21yr old college student. Due to Mark's customer service we will continue to use pepboys as a reliable mechanic. Did good job on fleet vehicle.But l suggest leaving vehicle there because lounge is substandard. No coffee. No television but do have free WiFi. Chairs aren't comfortable. Need to turn up thermostat in winter.The picture of store is in accurate

Went for a diagnostic. They gave me a code reading. That was all they did. They couldn't help due to my car having over 100,000 miles. So they didn't charge me. To be honest I could have gotten that done at any auto parts store without having to leave my car with them for 24 hours. They parked my car in the parking lot. Back door was ajar and it looked like someone was in my car going through every inch of it. Not sure if it was a worker or street thief. Either way it was an unpleasant surprise. Also their doing some kinda remodel inside so there's no shopping at the moment.

Mark and his team were great! We had our oil changed, and being new to the area, Mark provided us lots of recommendations of places to eat and a transmission specialist. These guys are super helpful, kind and honest.

The customer service was quick and the representative was polite and attentive. They told me when my truck would be done and it was done at about that time. The report prepared was given to me by paper and by text and was well-prepared for the service that was preformed.

My car broke down on a Friday and I needed it fixed over the weekend. I called to inquire about getting it towed there and what the process was as well as possible pricing. Lady was helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. I got my car towed there, my car was looked at in a reasonably prompt time and diagnosed. My engine coil was replaced for an affordable price and I was happy with the overall experience. If I ever need future work done over the weekend I definitely will be using Pep Boys again.

Was very grateful this week that Pep Boys exists. They got me in and out pretty quickly when I needed a new battery on Monday morning-the busiest day at the office and the worst day to be late to work.

I went on ebay ordered tires for my daughter's car she has children and has to have good tires and an allighnment had an appointment it took what should have been 45 minutes to an hour litterally took 3 1/hours and got the car home to find it now pulls ridiculously to the side not only did they take forever they really did a scrappy job

Second chance ordered tires from ebay set it up for pepboys in Chico to put them on took the car in early thinking OK if we get there early it won't be as bad as our last experience OH how wrong was I dropped of the car at 11.15 went to have breakfast took a couple hours got back at 1.30 car wasn't even moved so went to do some more errands come back 1.52 today March 7 2024 not touched but is now sitting in the garage the hubby goes in to see what's going on well their getting to it mind y� they've had this car now with an appointment at 12 its now 2.00 and they come out to say the tires are the wrong size it's now 2.21 they had the car this hole time and are just now letting us know and when asked to see the paperwork the lady says we don't have any this place and these people are you kidding me I'm absolutely flabbergasted at the incompetence of them all I will NEVER take my vehicles there again everrrr I do believe the better buiseness beuro would love to hear about this have a wonderful day and please start considering your customers their time is priceless

Took my car back multiple times due to them causing MORE of an issue. And then THEY have the audacity to "get frustrated" when i took my car to get fixed and they caused the sound to get louder. Took it in 3 times to get it fixed when they claimed the issue was "solved" and gave attitude. Dont waste your time here if you want the work to be done right.

I brought in a new vehicle in Last minute to be worked on, and Mark was able to get my vehicle in sooner than my original appointment date and him and Joe were able to get it looked at and figure out what the problem was and get it fixed for me very fast. They Knew I was without a vehicle and needed to be back to work as soon as possible. I really appreciate how fast they got everything done. And made it work for me.

Bring your own oil and filter to save big $ especially on synthetic oil. Avoid first appointment since they don t open the door on time. Friendly staff (they said I can bring my own oil/filter in).

Appointments don't mean anything, they will make you wait 4 hours before a simple scheduled oil change. Friendly employees but the way their system puts walk in customers above appointments is ridiculous. If it's first come first serve then they shouldn't offer appointments. Morning wasted

Almost 200 dollars for light bulbs replacement on my car. If I hadn't absolutely needed the headlights then and there, I would have just let my friend do it when visiting, could have actually saved some money. Ridiculous, over priced.The employees were polite at least

The good.... easy tire fix. Never having my car engine worked on here I can not speak to mechanics. As for the tire the service employee was patient and explained everything twice once to me and than again to my husband.The bad... there are many bays for cars but only a few are in use. There are cars in the bay that have been parked there for a very long time. Long enough for the leaves to pile up and dust to collect. The smell of tires is awful.
