He's the best!!! He gets my car done the same day and he's such a nice person. He is honest and fair, he does not try to upsell his clients. I really hate to go anywhere else. Pappenhausen is the best in Chico!

Richard is a very honest mechanic. He's got a "country boy" mannerism. Very hospitable. He is very quick and informative. I've been bringing my vehicles to him for service and repairs for the past few years. He doesn't waste your time or money. If it's not worth fixing he will let you know. I highly recommend Papenhausen Automotive.

Richard is a great mechanic and always strait forward with me about what needs to be done with my vehicle. My dad and I have been coming here for quite some time now and he always takes good care of us for a fair price. We wouldn't go anywhere else. I purchased a value card from a door salesperson and was happy to hear it was valid. Used it for the first time today for a free oil change and fluid top off. I drive a 2011 Prius and paid a little extra beyond the free service for full synthetic, which is fine by me. The customer service I was given and quick turn around time was awesome. I m very happy to report all went well and I will be back! Thanks!

Paupenhausen is the best mechanic I've ever gone too he fixes everything the right way, and timely. You can call him, drop it off and unless it's a transmission swap or some weird part it'll be ready that day. My friends sister drive without oil for a while and we thought her head gasket was blown, fully expecting an expensive fix. He looked at it added some oil and it was fine, could have totally ripped us off but he's not that kind of mechanic.

Richard is always on it. Great customer service and affordable prices. He has worked on my vehicles for a while and would not hesitate to take them back to him any time needed. Great place for your car doctor!!!

I was going to a "friends" shop for years before being referred to here. I decided thatvi was tired of the constantly delayed repair completion dates and just total BS that comes along with a friend fixing your vehicles. The first car I took here they took one day to complete, charged me HALF of what my "friend" charged me, and did an excellent job! I can't speak highly enough about them.
