We needed a new auto shop as the one we'd used had closed. We called Gill's and they were able to fit us in that same day. The owner, Patrick, was extremely nice and communicated with us the whole way through. We're very pleased and will absolutely be back.

I love Gills Motorworks, we were treated so kindly and decently then most auto repair places! Patrick worked on our thought ( lost cause) car and my son says it's like having a new car!. We are so pleased and prices were very reasonable and talk about service with a smile! Honest and dependable for sure!

Patrick was very helpful. If you want an honest opinion from someone who will tell it straight to the point without selling you any other thing but what the car requires he's your guy. I've taken two cars to him and always got the problem fixed thanks my dude

Just had my brakes and rotors replaced on my Lexus today at Gills. I am incredibly impressed by the level of professionalism and ability to take me as a walk-in without an appointment, as well as unbeatable pricing. Patrick and his team of mechanics were very thorough and just a pleasure to do business with.

Gills Motorworks is a smaller shop than most shops I've been to, but the difference here is not the size. They do good work (let me restate that, excellent work), honest people, competitive pricing, integrity, and professionalism. So, if you want quality work done, honesty, integrity, and competitive pricing, check out Gills Motorworks. I have brought two of my cars here for servicing. I live in Oroville, and the drive to Chico is worth the trip.

Dropped my car off in February of 2024, Gill communicated everything well, it did take a bit more labor than originally estimated but he honored the original estimate. Great service.

We had a choice Between Gills and the Ford dealer in Oroville!!! (Since we don t do business with Chico Dealers!) Well, actually we had more choices then just that but we boiled it down to Gills or the Dealer. Being that we didn t want to spend an arm and a leg we went ahead and hired Gills Motorworks! But I feel that was the best idea anyways. Cus they took great care of us! Patrick did all the required testing to find the exact problem and then was in contact with us on a timely matter and got the approval from us to proceed and gave me a call when he said he would, and let us know it was ready! He met our needs and handled business professionally and we appreciate him and his team! Thanks again Gills Motorworks!!!!!!

Don't come here. My custom made shift boot was damaged and the owner refuses to pay me back.Along with rude remarks and making fun of me for being upset about the damages, the owner Patrick has claimed that in order to be refunded I have to make an appearance at this shop and "talk it out with him"This happened over a month ago now in late October 2023.

The best shop in Chico. Won t go anywhere else. great customer service, kind and caring people who have you and your car s best interest in mind. Quick and efficient service. Had my car back within 24hrs. Great customer service and efficiently handled. I recommend this place I went in because my check engine light came on and they were able to fix it within a day. Very respectful and friendly people aswell.

Thank you Gills Motorworks for thoroughly inspecting my engine. These were found under the engine cover. I don't know know if they're from Oregon or Tahoe but I do know those squirrels were warm for a minute! I'm so happy I took it in for it's 60,000 mile tune up and it runs like it's brand new!! You guys went over and above.

Got my brakes worked on today and the highlights I can provide are as follows: They're timely in getting the job done, they're honest in their assessments with a level of transparency not seen in most auto repair shops, and they're affordable for the services they provide. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone. They're a little out of the way, but it is undeniably worth the drive for the service provided.

Gills motorwork did quick and efficient work to have my car ready for me in less than two days. They were honest and upfront and told me exactly what it needed. They quickly ordered the parts and got the work done. The guys were really nice and definitely knew what they were doing. Patrick was great! Literally the best customer service, I went in to have a complete brake /rotar change and he was able to do it within 3 hrs. I was struggling to get anywhere to accept my Jeep or tow it to Red bluff. After two exhausting days of calling different places, finally got to this shop and he was so considerate of my situation. Took my car immediately and started working on it, even redid the battery in my key fob and aired my tires, I had my car back the next afternoon with a great price for everything done. 100/10 and they have a cute doggy there :)Services: Tires, Electrical, Battery

Patrick (the owner I believe) was so helpful, knowledgeable, honest, and efficient. He changed out my motor mounts and checked on all the little things people tend to neglect just so I knew what I needed in the near future. I'm so pleased with the work and customer service. The crew down at Gills continues to take amazing care of me and all my needs with my vehicles! There honesty and genuine concern of the condition of the car I drive is what has made me a lifetime customer! These guys work so hard and I m so grateful to finally have a place like this to go. It was pretty hard to find a mechanics shop that I wanted to go back to here in Chico, I ve had so many horrible experiences with almost all other shops hereIn town. The mechanics at this shop are kind and honest, and their prices are fair. My car broke down the day before I had planned to drive back home to Florida, and, luckily, they were the closest mechanic. I left my car right outside their shop (it was a Sunday) and the next day they had it fixed within hours. One of the mechanics even offered to pick me up after realizing that I didn t have a ride and that I was about to walk a long distance to get my car. I highly recommend.

Gil and crew were absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable and got me right in. I've been working the fires and work 14 on 2 off so to have someone make the extra effort was greatly appreciated. Gil answered all of my questions and was able to get my air conditioning blowing cold. Also addressed check engine light and other maintenance needs. I would highly recommend him to anyone and I will definitely be back for all of my suv's needs. Thank you Gil and crew
