I was referred to Gary's Automotive by another business owner in the industry. Thankfully Gary's Automotive is right around the corner from me. I was blown away by the service. I got in immediately, my smog check was super quick, the shop is immaculate and the guys were very professional. What a sense of relief and comfort knowing that I can feel assured when I take my vehicle to Gary's Automotive. I "have a guy" now and can't say enough good things about my brief experience. Thank you, Gary's Automotive, for restoring my faith in humanity that there are still good guys out there. Word of mouth really works.

Emergency Headlight Replacement.My old Cherokee had a headlight out.I called in the morning and David had it diagnosed and fixed by noon.Great prices.Wonderful, Honest people.You wont regret having your car fixed or maintained at Gary's Automotive.

I went to Gary's for help with my check engine light a few weeks ago. They went above and beyond to help me, everything was explained and I never felt confused. I'll be going here for all my future automotive needs! Fair prices, excellent work and honest employees :)

David and Patrick runs a very tight and well coordinated team, Patrick provided a very timely and fantastic repair service for my van, while David arranged a very affordable price for it.Highly recommended

Have used Gary's Automotive for 25+ years and always found them to be honest, reasonably priced and able to to most repairs except auto body (use Concours Elite for anything auto body).

I was in a rush to do my smog and they got me in and out in less then 20 mins. Also I have called them ahead of time to let them know I need to done quickly and they were very understanding and good customer service.

Best place to go if you really want your car fixed properly at a good price. They knew exactly what was wrong with my Impala and then fixed it the same day. The other place I went to told me I had to do a lot of things to my car, and David explained that my car was in great shape and none of the thousands of dollars of work the other place wanted to do was necessary. I escaped a huge scam because Gary's was honest and professional. I HIGHLY recommend these folks. They are great!

Had an outer rear tail light installed. He did the work right on the spot when I got there, and it didn't take long at all. He was a really nice person and very professional. He charged a really good price for the work and it looks amazing. Definitely would recommend! I will be back :)

As long as I'm in Chico, I'll be going to this place to get my car taken care of. I chose it based on reviews I read, so here I am, adding my two cents. They're prompt (when they can be--they're often very busy, but they get back to you as quickly as possible), kind, honest, and they offer fair prices for their excellent service. I definitely recommend bringing your car here if you think it might need to be serviced. They're great.Update: seriously, if you're having car problems, bring your vehicle to Gary's. Not only did they handle the issues my car was dealing with quickly, they reached out to me a few days after her in to make sure all was well. Really wonderful service!

I had the misfortune of having the alternator decide it had reached the end of the road while traveling many hours from home on a weekend trip. Called triple A and then had the great fortune of driver recommending Gary's Automotive as the place to go in Chico for the job. Prompt, professional, great price, and great work and followed up with me to make sure we were satisfied and happy. I only wish I lived closer by as they would definitely be my go to for all my vehicle needs.Service: Engine repair

I brought my car in because it was having issues that seemed to be caused by a dying battery. David listened to everything I had to say and gave me a fair price upfront. The work was performed very quickly. He even sent me a text a few days later to make sure everything was now working smoothly. After having terrible experiences at Chico Nissan & Hyundai I am so grateful to find a trustworthy mechanic!

I called with some auto trouble and really needed a second opinion quickly because of travel plans. Patrick was so nice and told me if I could drive there asap he would take a look at it for me, even when they were short staffed. When I got there he drove my car around, looked under the hood and under the car. He was very reassuring and explained/showed me what was wrong. Luckily they didn't have to do anything but I left very relieved. From the initial phone call to the end of the visit, it was probably 30-35 minutes!I will definitely be back if I need an auto repair shop. Thank you, Gary's Automotive!

Thanks for the work!I've been going to Gary's for years now. You'd have a hard time finding a more capable, honest repair shop. I recommend them to anyone who asks, and everyone I recommend has become a repeat customer. David and Patrick value my business and it shows in the quality of their work and their consideration. I called about an hour before close for a window that fell out of the track and they told me to stop by. Not only did they figure out the issue, the guys also propped up my window and make sure it wouldn t fall down again, free of charge. I am beyond thankful for their service and willingness to help.

The best mechanic I've had through the years. They're honest, reliable, and helpful every time I need something. Last time I had my oil changed I asked them to replace my brake pads since they looked like they were on the outs. They gave me a call and told me they were good for another 10k or more and only charged for the oil. They take a little longer than any of the quick service places nearby, but it's worth my peace of mind.

These guys are awesome. They are super honest, and their services are priced fairly. They absolutely exceeded my expectations when working on my car to make sure my car it was good to go, and made sure it was finished when I needed it. I cannot recommend them enough.

I have been bringing my vintage Ford Ranger to Gary's now for over 13 years. They have been consistently effective, thorough, and honest. Also, they get me in and out quickly. I recommend them without reservation to anyone and I won't be going anywhere else!

Won't be going anywhere else! Had a great experience here. I took my 14 Corolla to Chuck Patterson Toyota to have an oil change done. There they told me I needed the rear brakes changed and fuel injection cleaning. At Gary's they found I had about 10,000 miles left on my brakes and quoted me a fraction of the price. The cost for services went from about $850 from Toyota, for services I didn't even need, to $125 from Gary's. Gary's Automotive kept me from having to overspend and they were extremely professional. It's hard to find honest shops that will keep you from spending on things you don't need; this is one of them.

Best place in chico to take your vehicle, honest. Reliable, and dependable. As a loyal customer I've taken my truck their multiple times and they fixed my minor issue in the lot and sent me on my way free of charge. They will always have my loyalty.
