We had our minivan towed to Affordable Automotive in January for a second opinion after experiencing major engine issues. John went out of his way to diagnose the problem and provide knowledgeable feedback about options and prices moving forward. The whole staff was very hospitable and let us keep our vehicle parked there while we decided how to move forward. We really appreciated their professionalism and flexibility!

Affordable Automotive is an amazing automobile service. Simon, Sam, Kirston and Richard(sincere apologies if the name is incorrect) were friendly, informative and supportive. They understood how important my vehicle is to me and went beyond repairing him. After hearing I didn't have a place to house it, they took him in for an extra week. They even replaced knobs for my heater/defroster that I was not able to get because of its age! Thank you so very much for caring for my 98 blazer. He's revitalized! We're riding so smoothly and comfortably with confidence we'll get wherever we need to go. You're a blessing.

As always, best automotive tech experience ever. Was doing routine checkup, they found something that could have been an issue on the trip I was taking with the car tomorrow, they fixed it same day, and were done earlier than promised.

BEWARE!!! Had my truck for over a year the catalytic converter was cut off of it and all the gas siphoned out while in their possession. When they finally called and said it was ready to pick up it was still torn apart inside I had to sit there and wait for them to put it back together. The truck was misfiring and they told me it just needed to be driven but it somehow passed smog. The check engine light came on the next day. I called and they refused to do anything I will be taking them to small claims court. Very unprofessional and do not stand behind warranty stated on website.

All the required work was performed in a reasonable amount of time, and adhering to the original estimate. My Land Cruiser is running great. I highly recommend Affordable Automotive.

I called to get rates about a tire alignment. The employee I talked to handled my call with the upmost care. Unfortunately, they use an outside service for tire alignments and such. Not exactly what I was looking for. But great service from my little bit of exposure to the company.

Highly recommend Affordable Automotive my husband and I took our Buick to another shop paid 2000 for nothing the owner told us it couldn t be fixed money we didn t have and borrowed of course this didn t sit well with us and we got a second opinion took it to Affordable Automotive and they were so friendly and very thorough also much cheaper AND MOST IMPORTANTLY OUR CAR IS FIXED RUNNING LIKE A 2024 BUiCK!!!!

They have been great with regards to my 08 Nissan Ultima and the replacement of my transmission. I also had them do work before and I can say they are a shop who really cares about there customers just as much as there cars. Customer Service has been 5 star and that's so hard to find today but with Affordable Automotive I can say they will always be there even after you take your car home with regards to any concerns you may have they are on it to make sure you are completely satisfied with the repairs you have done on your vehicle. I am a customer for life and could not be happier with the service I received all around . Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine tuning, Transmission replacement

The entire experience of bringing my car here, from communication to the actual diagnostics and fixing my car was fantastic. Isaac was patient with me when I didn t understand the issues they found with my car, and Mike even reached out to me after I got my car back to make sure it was running okay. Well, a bad battery terminal connector was my problem. Then it turns out that the new starter we put in (maybe a month ago) was bad. Came down to pick it up and he had been testing it out and she wouldn't start . John went above and beyond to get the thing done I had to stay there and wait for it. .. (So we wouldn't be without a car all weekend) They're not making parts like they used to and we need to demand better.... It just makes mechanic's job harder and it's such an inconvenience to the customer. We all need to be angry and push back against these cheaply made products. Thanks, affordable, thank you. John, thank you, thank you.

I have used Affordable Automotive for many years and I have always had a positive experience . They are just a great company! It is a good feeling to have a good shop you can trust and they do great work. I recently had a problem with my A/C I was getting ready for a road trip and no A/C ! and a day before my trip.So I check in at Affordable and they were able to save the Road trip got me on the road with Cold A/C.Highly Recommend Affordable Automotive !!!!

Pretty great shop, two locations. I needed a smog and they advised against paying when they knew it would fail. If they had taken 2 minutes to plug in and tell me why my check engine light was on (saving me a trip to auto part store to get it done for free) then I'd give 5 stars. With that info I'd know if it was worth fixing.

I can't begin to tell you how thankful I am of Simon and all the mechanics at Affordable. They took my car in when they didn't have much availability when my check engine light came on. Even with a stubborn car that was being difficult they worked on it until it was fixed. They were kind, compassionate and understanding of my needs being I live out of town and needed transportation quick. They are a great group of mechanics that do amazing work for an affordable price. I appreciate them and would HIGHLY recommend them for your automotive needs!Service: Brakes

Service was absolutely outstanding! Strongly recommended! Before Affordable Automotive, I took my car to 2 other places and none of them were able to diagnose the 2 issues my Subaru WRX was experiencing. John Chamberlin and his team at affordable automotive diagnosed a tricky clutch bearing noise and a drivetrain transmission issues. Plus, even though they didn't specialize in the transmission issue that my car had, they recommended a different shop I should take my car to. They followed up with the other shop to ensure my issues were resolved.There are not a lot of places with that level of honesty, quality and integrity... from now on, I will take my car to them only! We just picked up our Subaru and it is running just as it should. Affordable went above and beyond in analyzing our problem. It turned out that a part tested OK but not bad. This required the shop to spend much more time to diagnose our problem than they planned for or anticipated. Our bill was very reasonable and I am impressed that they did not charge us for the additional time they spent diagnosing our Subaru.No doubt, they are our shop now. Our old shop in Paradise is no longer in business.Update-12-1-2022We just picked up our Subaru and it is riding quietly like we expect it to. When we were there last time they replaced the struts and shocks and associated parts. One of our noises was the right front upper strut mount, one that they had replaced with the struts and shocks. They found it to be one of the noises we were hearing and replaced it at no charge, a whole year after it was installed. One other problem we had was a clunk when we started the engine. it was a fluid filled motor mount. The estimate was pretty high but they came in at $130.00 less than the estimate. I am very happy with their service and professional, honest, and reasonable prices. I just wish they would make the sign on their Park ave. store look a little better!!!Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Wheel alignment, Auto emissions testing, Brake service & repair, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Extremely satisfied with this experience. So helpful and knowledgeable. As soon as I walked in I felt welcome and cared for. The mechanics were extremely honest about what my car needed and didn t try to get anything else out of me. I did a simple inspection and they could have easily told me I needed something I didn t! Honestly discovered this place on accident, but glad I did! I just needed to install some headlight kits that I purchased myself, and Affordable Auto was not only willing to cater to this, but also reasonably priced in doing so. In addition, they were able to generously allow me to show up 15 min past closing time to pay for my service and pick up my car, which was a great accommodation of my full time work schedule. Technicians are honest and transparent, and I definitely recommend getting services done here

I took my excursion into Affordable Automotive because my husband and I both tried to fix whatever was wrong with it we must have replaced at least a dozen different things and it kept messing up well they figured it out and got it all fixed for me and the price they charged was less than I had expected. I took my truck in to fix the air conditioner and my husband takes his car there now also. I highly recommend them for all your vehicles needs. They are trustworthy and honest and get the job done pretty quick I have zero complaints

Great staff the help is amazing they go above and beyond.! Would definitely recommend them. My riviera was having issues including a serpentine belt that broke And Jen and John helped me cut costs so I could make good choices concerning my vehicle and the mechanic was careful not to break wires saving me hundreds of dollars. Good honest shop, friendly staff. Knowledgeable and very helpful when you need it. Pricing is more reasonable than most shops I have been to. They came highly recommended from friends and I was happy they lived up to it when they replaced brakes on my car recently. They also replaced suspension on my other vehicle. Even diagnosed problems other shops could not identify properly.

The service I received is worthy of a five star review. John treated me with kindness and a genuine attitude towards the issues I was having with my truck. My truck repairs where done in a timely manner and I couldn't be anymore satisfied with the professional job done. I'd strongly suggest any one who has a problem with there vehicle to visit Affordable Automotive first. It will most likely be your best choice in Chico.
