Faulty steering column repair resulted in stability warning light on and steering fluid leak. Now need to have this replaced at a dealership repair shop. What a nightmare. The failure of Loyola Marina Auto Care to acknowledge that steering angle sensor was damaged during their repair speaks volumes toward their lack of commitment to customer service. The vehicle stability control light was not on until their repair was performed.

Unpleasant Experience with Rude Service and Unfair FeesI recently visited this auto mechanic shop based on a recommendation from Triple A. Unfortunately, my encounter with the manager, Paul, was far from satisfactory. Not only was his demeanor rude, but when I contested the exorbitant $260 diagnostic fee, I was met with a flat-out denial of service.It's disheartening to experience such lack of professionalism, especially when seeking assistance for car troubles. I expected better customer service and a more reasonable approach to fees. My advice to others: be cautious before choosing this mechanic shop, as my encounter left me frustrated and disappointed.this is the shop that you worried about losing thankksfor the heads up never to use your shop!!!!!!

I have only used their tire service many times over the years and they have always been great and very helpful. They are fast and take care if your concern right away. I haven't been anywhere else for tire repair service so I don't know about the price but the value is for sure there.

Finding a good auto care shop with both technical expertise and great customer service can be a challenge. I know... I've dealt with a few who missed the mark! So when looking for a new shop in our neighborhood after my Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Plug-In was off warranty, I did my research and positive reviews led me to Loyola Marina Auto Care. My husband beat me to the punch when his car needed work before mine, but he was so pleased, I was confident we'd found the right place.Paul is the main guy we've dealt with, and he is always friendly and efficient, ready to get us in and out as quickly as possible. Appointments have always been easy to make and within the time-frame desired, and once you drop your car off, he's quick to check back with the report of recommended repairs. Their prices are fair, there's no upselling, no push for higher priced maintenance, so I trust that what gets done is what was needed.We're delighted to have found our shop, conveniently in our own neighborhood, and highly recommend the business.

He was proactive and transparent with his communication, which I especially appreciated as a first-time customer. He laid out all my options clearly at every decision point. I was honestly pretty disappointed with my visit here. I paid $100 just for them to tell me that my gas cap was not screwed in properly!There was absolutely nothing wrong with my car.I get that they had to inspect my car and figure out what was wrong when my engine light came on, but in my opinion they should have started by checking the gas cap first. They re supposed to be the experts. Most other places would not have charged me for this. I wish I had gone somewhere else and saved myself the $100, the 5 hours without my car, and the Uber ride there.

For a vehicle repair garage, LMAC appears to be meticulous and clean. Not to mention they get busy. Which is good! Always reliable service.Services: Auto engine tuning, Brakes

Great service! Paul is super nice over the phone and explained in detail what was going on with my car. Took care of the issue of my catalytic converter not working in my Chevy Equinox. Will take my car again to Loyola again.

Paul, Tim, and the crew are excellent. They have worked on three of my vehicles and done great work every time. Good and honest work isn't necessarily the cheapest, but for me it is worth the price for the knowledge that the parts are genuine and the work was done right.

Staff was courteous and so very nice. They did an excellent job at a reasonable price. Unlike the dealer where I went for years they only recommended repairs that were needed. Wow! I got referred to this spot by another auto body parts. I called them and they were able to get me in within one hour. They did a full diagnostic and was able to tell me everything that was going on with my car.Tim, one of the men that worked on my vehicle, was nice enough to show me exactly what he was working on. They fixed my car and I was able to pick it up 24 hours after dropping it off. Which was even sooner than they had quoted! Absolutely give this place a call!

I was directed to this business via COSTCO since I am a COSTCO member. I contacted the business OOA 30DEC22 requesting an appointment to rotate my tires. On 30DEC22, i received an automated email from the business stating that: Thank you for requesting an appointment! This is an automated response letting you know that we have received your appointment request. We are checking to see if we have any of the dates you requested available to work on your BMW X5 2019. We will contact you shortly either by email, phone, or text to confirm our availability. I reached out to the business on 3JAN23 requesting to know if my appointment was confirmed but got not response. I never received any communication from the business. I wouldn't waste my time with this business.FYI- I HAD to rate a star in order to publish this review.

I just wanted to share my awesome experience with Loyola Marina Auto Care. I had an issue with my AC/heater blower motor. I was traveling from Yuma, AZ, heading through. I had discussed my issues with Paul and we made a plan so I could bring my vehicle in for a repair. Paul assured me that they would have the part ready so I could make my appointment and get in and out timely, so I could continue my trip. As promised, the part was there! Tim completed the job, buttoned up the car and I was on my way in less than 2 hours! They were very prompt and courteous. I would highly recommend them to all looking for good honest service! My boyfriend recommended this shop to me when he chose them for their good reviews. They were very honest with him about a brake assessment, suggesting the squeak should be repaired by the original installers for free rather than charging him to do it (this is why we were looking for a new shop). I brought my car in towards the beginning of the shut down. I needed oil, a smog check, and asked if they could look into some intense squealing I had when accelerating. Paul called me back later that morning and was extremely patient explaining some service my car was due for. He started off by asking how long I planned to keep my car - it is an 02 Civic. He wanted to make sure he was not suggesting expensive repairs if I didn't plan on keeping it long. I said I was in it for the long haul if possible (another 100,000 or more). I gave the thumbs up for all the suggested work (and we discussed some upcoming repairs to expect in the coming year). I picked up my very happy and much quieter car (all the squeaks fixed!) and have enjoyed great peace of mind since. I really feel like my red beast was in great hands and Paul was very responsive. I will come back for my needs in the future as I really feel like they had my best interest in mind through the whole process. Thank you!

Tim and Paul are really wonderful technicians and have incredible customer service. My car broke down on imperial highway and their shop stayed open after hours to accommodate my tow arrival time. They even did me the favor of pushing my car into the garage so it would be safe overnight and took my key instead of just letting it be dropped in the box. I am so grateful to have met them, they are amazing people and really care about others. Highly recommend.

I just had my first experience with these folks at Loyola Marina Auto. They moved in to my precious mechanic s shop, who was the only guy I trusted to treat my car like it was his own. These guys did a fantastic job fixing my car. More than that, they seem very friendly, trustworthy, knowlagdable, and work with a high level of integrity. Also, I got the car diagnosed and repaired the same day. I ll be bringing both my wife s car and my car here for all serving needs for years to come. I highly recommend.

Tim and everyone there understood my frustration with why I had to bring my vehicle in and helped me get it resolved. They had my service done the very same day! Honest Mechanic with a heart of gold. Went above and beyond for me to solve the issue of my car horn, which is actually a tricky electrical and programming job (electronic tech here..). They really went out of their way to get me the best price and best service they could and to work with me based on my schedule. They educated me about my vehicle as well and got me back on the road with confidence. Just a pleasure to work with with and my car is running great. A true American small business!

Poor attention to detail. Parts left in car after repair, not on time, broken parts done to my cars, work not done properly. Tim and his crew at Loyola Marina auto are not quality mechanics. I had been a customer of theirs for nearly 5 years and I will never return. A recent repair was needed on my wife s car which required a new battery oil change and smog. The cover on the battery was damaged during their repair. I brought it to the attention of Tim and he said these things happened and it s something that I shouldn t worry about. He neither offered to replace the damaged cover nor offered any other type of compensation. This is a true statement of his workmanship and I can t recommend them as reputable place of business.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Loyola Marina Auto Care - I would give them beyond 5+++ STARS! They are incredible from customer service. Amazing follow up and follow through by Paul! Professional and incredibly nice/kind team at Loyola Marina Auto Care. Paul who helped me - was so impressive with knowledge about my car repairs needs and detailed line by line, what the issues are and what the "Next Steps" in their finding to resolve the engine light issues that was caused the car to become non-operative for last six months. And other auto shops could not figure out to find what the issues were... until I took it to Loyola Marina - which they found the "issue" immediately! and resolved the issue in such care and total precision. Thank you Paul ( you impressive customer relations ) and Tim (incredible mechanic! ) Thank you for everything you did on my Mustang. Called to ask about a smog check and they said it be about 15 minutes. This one is dmv certified and they send thebcheck over to the dmv same day so worked for me.The staff was nice over the phone and in person and my smog check went smoothly and quickly. Overall a quick and good service Thank you.

Came here because it was the closest option when my car broke down a year ago and found a hidden gem! I have never had a better experience with an auto shop. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, happy to help in every way they are capable of, and continue to remain my go to option for all my car maintainence. Highly recommend! Thank you, Paul!!! Tim is professional, very knowledgeable, and friendly. He was able to diagnose and fix my car to get it running perfectly, even when I was near fed up with trying to fix it myself for so long. He took the time to explain what exactly my car needed and made multiple suggestions and gave me the pros and cons on whichever route I decided to take. I was very impressed with my service here. Paul was also a big help as well! I definitely will be coming back for all of my cars for future maintenance and modification work!Thank you Loyola Marina Auto Care!

I was concerned about many shops in the surrounding area because the reviews were good not great. I looked at Loyola s and saw people appreciated the honesty here. I as well can say that I too appreciate their honesty and warm approach in helping me. Thank you for your expertise and I know who I can trust with my vehicles. I am in the military so prices around the area scared me a bit. I was relieved to get fair pricing. It was amazing.Thank you guys!

The guys at Loyola Marina Auto are great! The customer service was magnificent, the quality of work was superior, and their pricing is very competitive. DO NOT GO HERE!! I went here yesterday because my car was dripping and they charged me $92 to put on a car jack and proceeded to tell me they couldn t check where the oil was coming from and they would have to charge $270 for an engine cleaning I declined everything and told them I would just pick it up. When I got there I was forced to pay for but left no information about leak they just told me the oil pan was leaking which was information I gave then. I ended up paying after a big fuss and one employee ,Tim, mocked me and said you re over here crying over $80. I was shocked because I literally had already handed over the money and was leaving so I thought I was very inappropriate and unprofessional.Updated Response: Like I said the inspection fee was never the problem it was the fact that I got no information from this whole transaction with you guys. I was not provided with any additional information about the oil leak, I do understand that it needed to be cleaned for you guys to do an inspection. I don t understand why I was being charged since you stated it need to be cleaned before inspection and since I denied the cleaning how was thorough inspection performed. Please don t say you didn t try to belittle us by telling us that we are complaining about $80 . That employee said that to insult and like I stated in my review that was inappropriate and unprofessional.BUT I PAID YOU ALREADY SO LET ME WRITE MY REVIEW I DON T NEED A RESPONSE FROM YOU. REVIEWS ARE FOR THE PUBLIC!

I was extremely happy with Loyola Marina Auto Care. They were friendly, easy to work with, communicated well, timely, and priced fairly. The icing on the cake they gave us a car wash without us asking. Not just a basic car wash, they really did a number on it inside and out. Love the extra care and going above and beyond. I'll be back for sure!

Have always been a fan of this shop since we moved to LA last year. Great customer service, professional, and honest guys. Just like every shop should strive to be. If you take the time to get to know them, they ll gladly talk cars with you. The work is top notch and I have always left feeling great about the overall experience. It s tough to find good shops now-a-days; However, this is a hidden gem.

Just got my Subaru STI back before they closed up.I always appreciate their service / care for my car, has been running great since I ve taken my car there, they also seemed to give it a wash which was a nice courtesy from them, I noticed, they don t always clean your car when you take it there, so don t want others holding them to this review - no guarantee they will clean your car for you as I don t want people to read this review and think a car wash is owed to them.But in general happy camper with this business, reliable and will continue to take car of my race cars here.A++DavidService: General repairs & maintenance
