SCAM ARTIST Rafael and his son Rafael Jr have two locations and both lure your trust and use their professional confidence that they can fix your vehicle. November 2022 had major maintenance done. Job was over $1700. A Month (2) later the TRANSMISSION gave out towed vehicle back to him. 3200. I paid 2200 with the remaining balance of 1000 But the vehicle was never fixed. October 2023. He called to tell me that he can t fix my car. NO REFUND and he said Your car is possessed . This is not funny You give me my money back. THIEF (full) This business needs to be shut down for good. I ll see you in court.

So very happy to have found a competent honest shop. My wife introduced me when she needed work on her van and i was quit impressed. I've now been back multiple times (my old cars fault not the shop) and can say every interaction has been positive. Very bad experience. Here is the breakdown.* Took 1.5 months to supposedly fix my car* Poor communication* Said he was in contact with the warranty company but never really was until the day before work was completed. I kept in contact with the warranty company until the 6th week that they had in the shop.* Family owned which is great but very poor communication within the 2. The son does the repairs (very good guy) and the dad deals with the back scene stuff. Could be way better communication between both but its seemed like a 3 ring circle at times with me being the middle man.* The day he actually called the warranty, the works was completed the next day( Unsure why its took 1.5 months)* Check engine light came on same day I picked it up. They did ask to bring it back just to double check it but I was not about to be with out a car again for weeks or months.* They take on more work than they can handle.* Tried to support small buisness owner but this time it backfired.I went ahead and took my buisness elsewhere.

These guys are amazing!!My gf and I were road tripping in our truck, coming back from Oregon, when we had a water pump fail. Of course being a Sunday every shop was closed but luckily we caught Rafael on the phone and he was super helpful from the get go. The tow company ended up dropping it off the next morning and they got it back up and running that same day and even double checked the rest of the motor after we told them we still had to drive it back to LA.Rafael and his sons were super friendly and really made us feel comfortable with everything, and the truck ran perfect the whole way home.If I lived in the area I would bring every vehicle I own to this shop for work!! The shop was clean, the mechanics are professional and knowledgeable, and they charged a super fair price Service: Engine repair

I had my A/C go out last summer and it was already getting colder so I figured I would wait until next summer to fix it. Eventually the hot weather returned and I sought out an AC mechanic to replace my A/C comlressor. I purchased my own compressor and took it here for install. All people I spoke to were really respectful and welcoming. They made me feel comfortable and got the job done quickly the same day! I was so happy. My A/C blows ice cold and the owner (I forgot his name) even told me to bring it back in 3 days to 1 week to use the UV light and check how its going. My work schedule is busy so I was unable to but I have no complaints at all. Definitely worth it and done at an affordable rate. Thank you again! I will be taking my vehicle here for all repairs!Service: Air conditioning

Great service, the owner Rafael was so friendly and professional, made sure my car was running properly. When it was time to pick up my car he offered to come get me from my home and take back to shop to get my car. He worked with me and my budget and still did a great job on my car. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs their car fixed

I went to them a few months ago because my breaks were completely shot, and they were so friendly and fixed it in the same day. They even worked with me on the price because I wasn't able to afford the original estimate. Great place. I would go back to them for any repairs I need.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

I dropped off my car around 840 in the morning April 30. I explained to Rafeal that I needed my engine oil pan re-threaded and I had a leak from one of my radiator hoses, I figured since it was Saturday these two easy repairs would be finished by Tuesday at the latest. I checked in on my car a couple of times and he said he was still working on it at the shop around the corner so I went to the shop around the corner and noticed for a few days my car was still sitting there. On Saturday, May 7 I went by the shop and spoke with Rafael again he said he d have my car ready for me Monday and I told him I ll be by about 130 I get there at 1:30 in my car still not ready I m furious and of course he s not around again. I m not calling him a bad businessman but this is bad business man. Done with this guy! No apology needed because I heard enough excuses from you for over 10 days. From April 30 in the morning to May 9 and you still couldn t repair two leaks that s inexcusable don t do business with this guy.

Rafael does great work! You don't have to worry that his quote for work is dishonest. He completes the job in a timely manner and does a good job. He is the kind, hardworking, trustworthy mechanic you are looking for. My family will go to Rafael at Affordable Automotive as long as he is open for business.We have had work done on several cars over the last 9 years, some of the work was very extensive in nature.

Great job! Called about Noon to ask if they can take a look at my car because my AC was blowing hot air even after recharging with refrigerant. I took my car during my lunch break, left the car there(they also gave me a ride back to work) and within less than 2 hours they called and said it was ready. Great fast friendly service, I will definitely go back if I have any other car issues!

Like many of you, I saw the reviews and thought. Finally, I can finally take my vehicle to a respectable mechanic. I mean look at all the solid reviews! So, I picked up the phone and dialed the number. I had a great conversation with the owner on the phone and he said, "bring it in and ill put it on the lift and check it out." Okay, awesome. I went on Tuesday at 1130 am to drop of the vehicle. First red flag, I had to walk home and no service was offered and the receptionist was a wet blanket occupying space in the room. So I walked home. Okay, understandable, great reviews, its okay, its the work that matters. Then, I get NO phone call, as he said he would do. Alright again, its only the first day, I understand. Second day I call, "Ill call you back in 15 minutes," never happened. The next day, I call again, "I'm with a costumer right now, ill call you when I'm done," never called me. It's now Friday. I have my wife drive me to the shop, so I can watch him eat pizza and tell me the things I already knew when I dropped it off. I had him take it off the lift and I drove off. He had a slight attitude with me when I told him, "hey man, you've never called me, I had to come in now, to find out." He just waved me off.All in all, just go to a professional mechanic, with professional equipment, uses paperwork, has a code of conduct and a sense of accountability. There's no use is trying to use these cheap back ally garages.

I've brought 3 vehicles in over the years. They're great with electrical diagnostic and repair! I'm on a tight budget, but they keep costs affordable. I'm so happy to b on the road again!

Very honest and kind staff. Reasonable pricing and my car repair was completed in a timely fashion. I definitely recommend their shop and I would definitely go back for repairs.

I Definitely recommend this shop! I needed my AC fixed in my 2006 Scion TC and Rafael and the guys did a great job!! The lady working in the office was super nice! It's hard these days to find a good machanic ahop that don't try and hit you with high prices. You won't have that problem here!They had great prices and the job got done in fast timely manner! My AC is working great with the new compressor! These guys go above and beyond! Some people don't get enough credit where credit due! Thank you guys very much!

I took my 2002 Honda Civic LX to this shop early last Monday morning after my check engine light came on driving home from work Sunday evening. I was there right at 8:00am sharp when they opened and one of the owner's sons, Oscar, was there to greet me and listen to my problem. I left my information and my keys with him and later talked to the owner and Oscar's father, Rafael, on the phone so he could give me an estimate and further discuss in detail the issues my car was having.It turns out after recently having my transmission rebuilt the TPS was malfunctioning (a sensor that affects acceleration) and it was also directly related to the code from the check engine light. Not only was Rafael able to fix the problem within a few short days, he was able to do the brakes on my car as well so I didn't have to go anywhere else. All in all, very reasonable prices for the labor and parts, a great family atmosphere and friendly service. I would highly recommend this shop for auto repairs and I'm planning on taking one of my other cars in soon.Thank you Rafael and Oscar, you guys rock.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes

My Mazda 6S, 2003 model car was making noise at the front suspension. I spoke with the owner, Rafael, and explained my concern. The car needed the wheel ball bearing replacement. They changed the front wheel hub assembly and also went beyond and changed motor oil, lube oil, and filters, and now my car runs extremely smooth.I'm very happy with the service and can proudly say that I have found a local mechanic that I've been looking for in the central valley. Raphael, the owner, was very helpful! Our car broke down and we decided to have it towed to Affordable Automotive not knowing what to expect, besides the other reviews. He was very friendly, and even provided my wife and I a ride home from his shop. I would highly recommend this shop, and will be taking my business there from now on!

I had a great experience here. Rafael did an independent inspection on a used car I was thinking of buying, on just a few hours' notice. He was a straight shooter, talked honestly about what's wrong with the vehicle, and gave sound advice about the order in which he'd have things repaired and the price he'd pay for the car if he was buying it. He quoted me amazing prices for the wok the car needs, and recommended a local breakfast spot to boot. He never talked down to me (which, as a woman, was a welcome experience) and answered all my questions. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Rafael, the owner is a great mechanic and businessman. He is honest and will do what is best for you, your family and your vehicle. He has shown his integrity and has always gone above and beyond to help me. I'm so thankful that I found his shop, I will not take my vehicles anywhere else. If you are curious about all the 5 stars you have to stop in. I don't give 5 stars to anyone. Most of my reviews are complaints. And of all places an automotive shop. This shop stands in front of there work. Competitive pricing. And ok I'm going to say it.......HONESTY! Yup. I usually work on my own car (high mileage) . And I know things break when in the middle of a job. I just don't trust most mechanics to be honest. I won't be working on my car anymore ! I don't like it. And now have a mechanic I can TRUST !Thank you SO much for the piece of mind that brings to me. Great experience!

I hate car problems and I seem to get them a lot. When my truck wouldn't start after work I called and they offered to stay late and check it out for me. They dropped me off at home and called me 2 hours later and told me it was FIXED!! Yes FIXED! He had my started replaced and had me out the door at 8 pm with a 1 year warranty and no additional after hours fee! There were no surprise fees and he honored his verbal price.Definitely will return. It's a great hidden spot in Ceres with honest prices, and management.

A+. Will reccomend. My car broke down on my first day of work at a new job. I was exhausted, hungry, and ready to go home - but that wasn't going to happen. I did a Google search and found "Affordable Automotive". Not only was Rafael able to immediately figure out the problem he put a smile on my face and made my day much better! My new mechanic! I won't be going anywhere else! Thank you for the fantastic service!

This is a great shop and I would highly recommend them. Getting up there in years now I'm not too inclined to crawl under a vehicle these days. I've been ASE master certified since 1979 and usually do my own work but it's worth my time and trouble to pay for work that involves getting under my car.Rafael got me right in and actually did work that I had diagnosed and used the part that I supplied, an oxygen sensor. That's incredibly rare for a shop to do that sort of thing these days.I'll be taking my car back to this shop in the future. Excellent work and very reasonable labor rates.

Rafia got my husband and I out of a huge jam today- couldn t be more grateful for his help and kindness! My vehicle conveniently broke down in the middle of a busy 4 lane road- after securing a tow, I called and was given the go ahead to bring the car in as soon as the tow truck came- no questions asked. He was there to greet us and was incredibly helpful and friendly. We didn t have a chance to call or find a ride back home yet, and before I finished saying the word Uber he offered to give us a ride. Having car trouble is stressful, but in this circumstance he made it so much easier to deal with in stride. I highly recommend Affordable Automotive- truly an honest and awesome business owner! As a new resident of Ceres and of CA in general, it s good to know there s a local business I can turn to and depend on to take care of my vehicle. I couldn t be more happy with our experience today- he turned my bad luck into good luck, not something that happens too often

Called the shop after reading some positive reviews on line and Rafael said to bring my truck "97 GMC" by in the morning as it was just about closing time. I brought the truck in the next morning and had a diagnosis with a repair done same day, no issues, just an efficient business transaction. Thanks for the clear understanding of the issue and explanation of the job.

It's within our budget, the service is great, and they are always friendly.We have taken our car here multiple times to be worked on, and it's always been fixed that same day. This is the only place we take our car because we know that the quoted cost will be nearly the same as the final cost for work.

Rafa is the most honest and easygoing businessman I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I've been going to him for years and I never have to second guess the information Rafa gives me and I know I'm getting QUALITY work done at such an afforadable price. He genuinely cares about his customers and it's reflected in the work he does for them. He is patient with explaining things and even will take time to show you what he is talking about if you need a visual aid. His prices cant be beat and I almost always get my car back same day. He knows I'm a busy mama and the way that Rafa accomadates my needs makes sure I never take my business anywhere else. THANK YOU RAFA!!!

I have brought a couple of my cars to get fixed here at Affordable Auto. Rafael is a cool guy who let's you know what it will cost for repairs and I am very happy with their service on my cars. I would definitely recommend this place for service.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This place is beyond a rip off not to mention how long they kept my car without any calls or updates even though it's promised. I had to send other people to the place for things because he stopped answering my calls and closed the shop before I got off work. Ended up with the same issue I came in for but there's nothing they can do about it. Basicall gave this place a $600 donation because my car STILL isn't working. If there's a way to report this place please let me know
