When I came down with the Willys virus over 20 years ago, Willys America was there with Paul's extensive knowledge, to get me through the hard times. They can supply the right parts or restore your Willys for you.

Willys America has a lot of neat looking eye candy, however is not open to the general public without an appointment. Folks who stop by and just want to look around are not allowed to do so. This business is not a junk yard but a specialty repair garage working on customers vehicles and the limited staff does not have the ability to entertain visitors. If you have a Willys vehicle and want it repaired or restored, this is Thee place, however, call in advance or you will be turned away. It is on private property, and the owner is very protective of his customers privacy.

I am a classic car enthuseist and currently restoring a 4x4. So, when I stumbled upon this place in Cazadero on a recent vacation, I wanted to check it out. I walked onto the yard and was greeted with signs that said no entry and warning me to visit the front office first. My wife and I stayed out of the no entry areas and went looking for the front office. The first person we met didn't greet us. He was leaning over an old Willy's convertible and eye'ed us suspiciously. I asked about the front office and he immediately said "This isn't an amusement park. These are people's cars!". We weren't even looking at or touching any cars(believe me, I've had cars at auto shows and I know destructive looky-loo-es). He wasn't interested in any business or conversation and I found him to be very rude. For all he knows, I could be a phone customer picking up an order, or a new client wanting to spend $90k on a new restoration job. This guy was rude and downright hostile. After our experience, my wife and I laughed it off and looked up other reviews. Truly, this business is hostile to customers. I would avoid them. Many people in the classic car restoration business are charming and welcoming. We're a small community of weirdos and enthusiasts. For a company that depends on this small group of people as patrons to treat customers like that is appalling. I guess they want to go out of business, and with that attitude...at the fastest speed. So, please send your money and good will to other companies and let this bad apple whither on the vine. He clearly doesn't care about our business.
