I had a fantastic experience at Gerber in Cathedral City. I came in to get an estimate for a minor paint transfer and Kimberly took great care of me. Within minutes, she had gotten the scratches off! My car looks great again and I was thrilled with the outstanding customer service.

Having never put in a claim with my insurance, I was curious how this would go. It seemed incredibly easy with my rental and dropping off my car. Several days had past and I thought how strange I've never heard from anyone. After meticulously looking through what they were working on there was 1 huge omission. The front glass windshield. After hours of going back in forth the insurance rep told me it was something a gerber employee told my insurance and for this reason it was not covered. Gerber wanted to charge me $500, I was able to find elsewhere for $240. The work they did do was decent but because of this i will no longer have my current insurance or will i ever visit Gerber again.

I knocked my fender out of place. Today, it was fixed at no charge!! I was back on the road in minutes. Thank you Kimberly. Got into a car accident 3 days ago. They fixed and repaired it super fast. Literally got my car today (Friday). I have auto insurance through geico, both did an amazing job throughout the process. My vehicle was hit by an unknown vehicle and my insurance company gave me a recommendation of a couple of different collision centers that I could use I chose to use Gerber Collision & Glass in Cathedral City. I was very impressed from the very beginning everything was set up it was taken care of quickly I received daily text messages telling me how things were going with the car and then the day before I picked it up I received a call telling me that everything was ready and we set a time for me to be there. I was able to leave the rent a car at the Collision Center which was then picked up later by Enterprise and I was very happy with the service given to me by one who did the appraisal and followed the process also Leslie at the desk everyone was very professional and courteous and I would highly recommend them if you need to use a collision center and it isn't approved by your insurance company or you have a choice because my experience was excellent which had not been the case with a previous sooner that I had used a few years back

We were told that we could pick our vehicle up on a Friday. The vehicle was sent to another Gerber site in Cathedral and not the one we originally dropped off at in Palm Desert. On Friday when the Palm Desert Gerber received our vehicle back, they were not satisfied with the work the Cathedral shop did, and sent it back and notified us that we could pick up Monday.Monday when we went to pick up the vehicle, it was abundantly clear that the vehicle was still not ready. There was overspray on the hood, orange peel on the fender, sanding marks in the paint, and horrible buffing marks all over the front passenger quarter panel (vehicle came in for minor damage to front passenger quarter panel ($1500) due to being hit in a parking lot). Someone from the Palm Desert Gerber came out and said that they would send it back AGAIN and have it fixed.We came back about two hours later and some of the defects were fixed, but the buffing still looked horrible and the sanding marks were still there. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, living all the way in Yucca Valley, and having a baby with us that was not in the mood, we had to accept the vehicle, or wait another week until we could get time off work to get the vehicle. I will fix the buffing marks myself and deal with the poor workmanship with visible sanding marks under the passenger side headlight. Quality control seems to be a real issue. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, and the customer service seemed to be decent, but we do not have the time to come back a 4th time to get it right.Services: Painting, General repairs & maintenance

Unprofessional to the extreme. Refused to honor their own estimate.My vehicle was rear ended and I came to this shop for an estimate. They were a few percent lower than the others I had received so I chose to have the work done here.Unfortunately when I brought my car back to have the work done they refused to honor their own estimate. The receptionist walked the paperwork into the manager's office and we could hear him lecture her on the "poor" quality of the estimate.We heard a laser printer running and when she walked out of his office she was holding a new estimate that was a full 20% higher than the original, but she did not say so until challenged on the price. She explained parts were left off. I left without another word. A competitor less than a mile away did honor their estimate and did an excellent job.There are dozens of body shops to choose from in this area. Avoid this one.

It's definitely a peculiar choice of location for this type of service. The store sign is large and clearly visible from Palm Canyon (if you're paying attention). There are literally but a handful of parking spaces for customers and you'll find a red curb no parking zone throughout the remainder of the street (kind of inconvenient).Friendly front desk and helpful service writer when checking your vehicle in. But a simple "did you see your car out there" and "sign here please" from the front desk when picking up your vehicle.They seem to do good work here in a timely manner and with a good guarantee to back it. I would recommend. Three stars here

Fantastic customer service! They are very patient with reschedules and are more than willing to work with you if you have a changing work schedule. In terms of repairs, the back end of my car looks brand new! There is zero sign of the collision anymore. They work very quickly and efficently as well! Overall just fantastic service and highly recommended.

to summarize, I had dropped off my vehicle for a claim totaling to over $4000 and each time they told me the car was done there was something damaged or not finish, totaling to 5 trips here and 1 month and 10 days, where I only got a rental for 7 days and it was still not correct.The attention to detail is far from mediocre, throughout my 5 visits back there was a massive over spray spot on the front bumper trim and over driver side doors and the driver front fender was not finished and still rough, a dent(s) left unfixed though they painted over it, buff marks, over spray and damages to the rear bumper from their trim tools, fog lights not be plugged back in, door handles not installed correctly, trim pieces not full re-adhered to the body panels. I also don't believe they paint in a dustless paint booth because there are specks in the clear coat everywhere.The staff is extremely friendly, I dealt with Kim primarily and I was very friendly back but at the end of the day you pay for a service and the service was never correctly done in 5 attempts. Towards the last 2 visit when I mentioned things that were not correct her response was just "OK, well do you want to leave it?". Kim had also offered a gift card when I came back for the 5th and final time when there were still issues, I told her that doesn't fix the problem and mentioned afterwards if she wants to make it right I would like a gift card mailed to me for the total of losses (time, wages and rental car) and she ghosted me.I gave her 3 weeks to get back to me and she never did.The car is at another shop now fixing all of the mistakes.Services: Painting, General repairs & maintenance, Body & Trim

Wow! This shop is awesome!I can not explain how much of a big help they have been. Everything from the customer service to the work on my car was above a work of 10! Phillip Garret and Javier Lopez really run this establishment to the very best of its ability. They definitely know how to handle this business and definitely know how to please their customers and ensure that we leave happy and proud that we allowed ServiceKing to work on our car.Highly suggest ServiceKing to repair your car! You will be very pleased and wouldn't want to have gone anywhere else!

They said our car would be fixed and ready in a week. NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THE GUY!! When we called, got told the guy quit. Said our car would be ready in a couple days. Again NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM. We called again. Said WAITING on parts, have car in a few days. NEVER heard back from them. They had our car close to a month, WE ALWAYS HAD TO EXTEND OUR RENTAL CAR AND CALL THE PLACE TO GET INFO. NOT GOOD!!!

My white Volvo had been scraped down the side by a black car.....they buffed it up and touched up at no charge!!!! They were so nice! I highly recommend them.
