First time customer. I brought my truck in for what I thought needed both a new starter and a new battery. He ran his diagnostics and determined neither was needed. He got it running and saved me money. I'll definitely be back.

I have been a customer here since 2007. I found these guys by sheer chance through my coworker back in 2006. I have brought every single car here and they have ALWAYS been 100% honest and forthright. I have NEVER had them need to redo anything by making any mistakes. I suggest seeing a mechanic of your choosing- but the reason I am still willing to drive two hours for services- says something about the level of integrity and transparency this place operates on. Jay and the staff are great. Mom & pop local business with integrity. I totally trust them for all our car repairs. We tend to keep cars forever so having a real mechanic is crucial. They have early drop-off and have been fine keeping cars overnight if we can't get there in time to pick them up.

Mike is the best. He has smogged 2 of my cars, and has done multiple oil changes at last minute notification. He is very nice and makes it easy to work with him.

Great shop, excellent techs, great work, and excellent custom service. Along with the great work these guys did on 2 of my vehicles the went out of their way to help my find someone to help me with finding someone to do some work they could not. Will be back for sure anytime I have an issue I can't fix or a smog needing done. Shout out to Mike for making all those phone calls for me, saved the day!

Have taken 6 cars there over the past 8 years, and have excellent service and work every time. Price is always fair and never feel sold on unnecessary work. El Camino Smog and Repair is one of the most trustworthy, honest mechanics out there. They've always taken care of all of my vehicles and are really responsive. When ever they can, they charge less hours than the dealers, but will never charge more hours than what the dealers say it should take to resolve the issues.

I have been using El Camino Smog for many years. They are always so dependable. All the guys I have delt with are very knowledgeable and courteous. After the death of my husband, Mike has always gone out of his way to insure I understood everything that was happening to my vehicle. He has even given me a ride when I needed it. You couldn't find a nicer and more caring individual. I would recommend them to anyone in need of vehicle repair.

My check engine light came on the same day I purchased the car from a private party. So the seller suggested I take it here to be diagnosed. I ran my FIXD device on it to reveal it was most likely a Catalytic converter problem. So I dropped the car off at 8am for a check engine light diagnosis. I got a call back around 3pm with the results. It was as I thought... A cat converter. So for $120 and 7 hrs my theory was confirmed. These guys know what they are doing and are very thorough. But the prices are super high.

We took our car with oil leak problems to a few different places and no one ever figured out the problem. Other places just refilled the oil and filter. Mike and crew diagnosed the problem and gave us two possible fixes in order of cost. While the car required both fixes, it's now back in running order.

I booked an appointment after being turned away from the DMV for not having my smog certificate. The first appointment available was two hours from then. I gave my vehicle year make and model during the reservation. I arrived to find no parking, just to have them tell me that they can t smog my vehicle due to it being Diesel despite me giving them all my vehicle information over the phone. For obvious reasons this was a huge waste of time when taking time off work to go to the DMV. It seemed like the guys there were new and inexperienced. I would not recommend.

I called to make an appointment for a smog check and they got me in the next day. Once there, I decided to add an oil change also. Both the smog check and oil change took only 40 minutes. Very impressed! Great service!

I went to El Camino Smog and Repair for a smog and they were great. Very friendly and professional. Only took about 30 minutes from walking in the door to leaving with my vehicle. Highly recommend them.

Oil change and SMOG. Easy in & out. I had to go back because a lamp was lit on the dash which wasn't when I brought it in. They took my car in right away and gave it their full attention, resolved it, and I was outta there. Nice people.

DO NOT GO TO EL CAMINO SMOG AND REPAIR! The people are nice but they offer no discounts, accept no coupons and DO NOT GIVE YOU ONE FREE IF YOU FAIL UNLESS THEY DO THE REPAIRS! Maybe I am just a penny-pincher and maybe this is how most major smog places operate, but, in the past, I have always been able to find smaller smog-only places where the base price is at least ten bucks less and they accept coupons making it even cheaper, and are always happy to give you a free re-smog!

Took my '04 Rubicon in for the dreaded SMOG test... made a same day appointment, was in fast and on time. Great experience, good prices and great staff!

Someone I knew was buying a used car! 112,000 original miles runs great etc these people seemed to pad the pre-sale list of "might" need to be fixed to 4000 on a $3,500 dollar car! Not happy!
