Wanted a basic engine tuneup, they did work I did not ask for and charged me for it, Howie you will no longer be able to screw me over as I will no longer be coming to your shop and I had so many more things I wanted to have done you lost a lot of money. Be careful who you screw over.

Thi has been my auto mechanic for over 20 years..he is honest, fair and very easy to work with, I trust him in everything.Howie is his office manager and is easy going and willing to listen to you explain your reason for your visit..

Out of the way little auto repair shop right off of Fair Oaks. Been going here for my car problems for a long time now. Tai and Howie are great people and really genuine in their desire to help you. Would recommend to anyone.

As a woman that does not know much about cars except for the regular oil change, alignment, tire pressure and shocks. I have to say that the owner of this shop is extremely transparent, honest, knowledgeable and BEYOND FAIR with pricing!! Given that inflation is so high right now, rest assure that you can get a FAIR deal here. Ty is a great mechanic. Best I've found in Carmichael and very honest. Great service and reliable. He has gone above and beyond helping my dad get his jeep back on the road more than once over the years.Thank you Ty, it's going to be hard to find a better mechanic when we move. You are great and I really appreciate everything you have done for us. I wish you many more years of success in the future.

Very good experience. My vehicle was in and out and they are very understanding to the needs of the customer. It was my first time there and I will definitely be back very very soon. They are able to resurface my rotors without question. I've been to places in the past that don't even want to do that job or they act like they can't. This place was so accommodating. They even let me bring in my own parts and just charge me for the labor which was a very good price. I'm coming back very soon to take care of a different issue. Thanks again. My Buick is braking the way it should.

I have been taking my vehicles here for quite a few years now. As I'm writing this they are changing my oil and filter on the spot right when I can in. I had planned to leave it and casually mentioned I was going to ride my bike home in the rain. When Thai heard this he wouldn't let me and told me he to pull it in the station and he would do it right away. Top notch service!

The people at Carmichael auto took great care of my handicap daughter today! I'm so excited to see such great honest care! I will ask them to take care of my car for now on. I'm probably shooting myself in the foot because they are a gem and now I'm helping other people know.Thank You

Thai and his crew is amazing. They always gets me in as quick as they can and get me the fairest estimate. They get the work done right and in a timely manner which I always appreciate! I ve been using Thai s shop for a few years now and have never been disappointed. I ll definitely be a client for years to come.

Not happy with this place at all took my car there to have the water pump replaced they talked me into doing just the thermostat and temp. Sensor now I have a blown head gasket. Also told me I need 4 new tires cuz they are all bad and causing my car to wobble my tires are brand new and it a wheel bearing going out and the struts. Horrible place to take your car this is not the 1st time I have a bad experience with them either. I do not recommend this place at all. They don't really seem to know what they are doing at all.

So I was having noices coming from front end. I went to Speedy and someone test drive the car. They told me it was either the Axle or WheelbaeringsNeither! Possibly hundreds of dollars! . It was a lose bolt. They checked for any other possible problems. It was NO CHARGE. I offered a few dollars for their time and they wouldn't except anything! They are HONEST QUICK AND PATIENT! I will never bring my car anywhere else! Certainly not back to Speedy.

Thai is pretty good at what he does super friendly and knowledgeable. If he don't think he can do the job he will tell you so and not waste your time or his. They are pretty reasonable on their prices and he will even work with you if you can't afford to pay all of the bill. They also are very good at having the job done within the time frame they set.

My wife and I have been bringing our cars here for years now, and are more than satisfied every time we do. Thai is a great mechanic and really knows what he's doing. He's usually able to tell us what is wrong on the spot, and even let's us know if it needs to be fixed right away or if it can wait until we can afford it. Speaking of affording it, he is very fair with his prices, which is the reason we ever went to him in the first place, and we're beyond glad we did. You can also tell that he cares about his customers, as he goes above and beyond every time we go in. He's the only mechanic we've gone to for years now, and we don't see that changing any time soon.

It is so difficult to find a mechanic that you can trust. Someone who will give you fair prices and provide options on how best to service your vehicle based on your ability to afford the repairs. Thai (the owner) is one of those rare finds and provides a great value.After seeing some smoke rising from my engine of my 2007 Ford Fusion I thought I was going to be in the difficult position of having to decide whether to pay for potentially expensive repairs that would almost cost as much as the vehicle is worth or look for a new car. Luckily I took my car to Carmichael Auto Repair after my wife got a recommendation from a friend. My car had several small oil leaks which caused oil to drop onto catylitic converter causing some smoke to be produced. Although the issue wasn't catastrophic, the leaks were coming from multiple places (Timing gasket, valve cover gasket, and oil pan gasket) and was a good chunk of change to repair.After Thai explained to me the issues and the cost he provided a few different options on what to repair and what could possibly be pushed off until later. He was intuitive enough to ask how long I wanted to keep the vehicle and based on that conversation we came up with a solution that suited my situation best. Although I had sticker shock from the repair cost after talking to a mechanic buddy of mine who lives in LA, he said that the quote I got was an extremely good price, and I may be able to get lucky and find a shop that would be a little cheaper but most likely other places would charge significantly more.Upon picking up my vehicle I learned that Thai had done some additional repairs (small maintenance issues) at no cost to me. They were probably only $60-$100 worth of fixes but it was still something he didn't have to do, and could have charged me for them or tried talking me into getting more repairs done to run up cost. It was very thoughtful and caring, in addition to great customer service.Cannot speak highly enough about my experience and I try to reserve my 5 star ratings for experiences like this. I cannot recommend a better place to take your car! Thai (the owner) is always there and very knowledgeable and helpful! I went in for a repair several years ago and was quoted 3 hours labor (which was very reasonable). When the work was done he said it took his guy a little over 2.5 hours so he was reducing the hours on the quote!Never have i seen this at any other mechanics! I have continued to go there since and recommend him and his shop to all my friends and co-workers (and anyone who will listen to me singing his praises!)

Thai is AMAZING. My husband Anthony & I have been going to him for years, & his work is great. He's very genuine & likes helping people. He's not greedy like most shops. He gets you in quick, finds the issue & let's you know the price & gets it done fast. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Thai was excellent. After looking over my car, he told me what was wrong, what needed to be replaced, and exactly how much it would cost. After, he showed me all the parts that were replaced. My car drives like its brand new again! He came highly recommended from my sister (he replaced her engine) and I would definitely recommend Thai and his shop. Excellent work!!!!

The absolute best place to take your car in Sacramento. I called multiple mechanics in the arden arcade-carmichael area to get a quote on my multiple engine repairs for my 94 miata. Both cam and crankshaft seals needed replacing along with the valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket. Everywhere else quoted me 1800+ while Thai did it for 1400. Plus he replaced extra things that needed replacing free of charge, like a new thermostat, spark plugs, water pump, and timing belt. A couple days later I had a small coolant hose break so I brought it back and he did this for me completely free and had it done within a day. He's an amazing mechanic, but above all an amazing person. Honest mechanics are a dieing breed and you won't be dissapointed if you go here. This is my lifelong auto repair shop and I couldn't be more satisfied with my service.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

These guys went the extra mile in repairing my truck. They fixed a leaky water pump that apparently had been installed badly originally. To accomplish this, they worked at it for 2 and a half hours beyond their normal closing time. I greatly appreciated this effort to finish the job, when they could have quit for the day since I live out of town and would have otherwise had to make a return trip the next day. Thank you!

This business is run by one of the most professional, kind, and honest individual. The owner is a man of integrity, and he really cares about his customers to explain all the procedures of his work and providing the best service at a fair price. I would say for some procedures he is actually trying to help his customers and give them the best price even though he might end up doing lots of work to complete workmanship at the highest professional level! I strongly recommend this business to everyone who wants to have their cars fixed by a mechanic who is not there to rip you off but instead he is there to help you and give you a really good price!!! Try this business for all your cars needs and repairs and you won t regret it!!!!

I am now in a committed relationship with a mechanic. The sky just simply is the best he is operating out of a warehouse center and the parking may not be ideal however he is an awesome mechanic he quotes you what it'll be and then he fixes it and actually calls you when the car is done. The prices are reasonable and he was exceptionally kind. Some mechanics look at you give you a quote he looked at me explain to me what was wrong pointed it out to me and then drew a picture. he treats women very well so please don't be afraid to go there thinking you're going to get ripped off he is 100% authentic and quite possibly the very best I've known in 50 years.

The owner is really great. Thai, is honest and he will give you a fair estimate for the work. He will not recommend any parts repair or replacement if it's not needed. My brother got an estimate of $650 for ball bearing replacement. Thai, looked at the car and said there's no need for replacement. He did not even get payment for the check up. Great guy.

Thai is honest and wont give you the run around. He knows what hes doing. Come check this place out yourself. You will be happy you did. Prices are decent for the work he does. Too bad he wont work on my truck cause he knows I work on cars as well. I guess I better get busy. Great dude.

This place was highly recommended by a friend and I'm glad I took my car there. I have nothing but good things to say about Thai and his team at Carmichael Auto Repair. They gave me an honest appraisal of what was wrong with the car, saved me a lot of money on the repairs and did excellent work. They showed me the used parts that had been replaced and got the job done on schedule. I'm so glad I found them.

Owner was very nice and the work I had done was cheaper than I anticipated. I had my radiator replaced along with my break pads, freeze plugs and an O2 sensor. Cost was less than some shops charge just to replace a radiator. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who doesn't work on their on vehicle.
